I think the "skillz" that guys need to have sex is to treat women like people and be clear about their intentions.

I 100% completely agree with you about sex. Women should not put up with this myth that the first time having sex should be painful. That is a load of bullshit. Sex should not be painful. Also, I agree we need to tell women that it is good to say no. For some, orgasms having nothing to do with intimacy, others see orgasms as important and some think they are just fun. Where someone likes to put their genitals is their own business (provided others involved consent without coercion). Asexuality i…

The problem with chats like this on reddit is that walls of text are hard to respond to, but it's just so tempting to keep typing!! I'll break this down into topics. I'm definitely interested in hearing your thoughts. General thoughts on sex People shouldn't have sex if they don't want to. Two of my good friends are saving themselves til marriage. And that's fine with me. Personally, I think sex is really important in fostering a relationship. I don't think sex defines a relationship. I know tha…

I've gone down this rabbit hole before. I'm a proud postnatal supremacist. I don't think us getting into this will be productive for either of us because we're both pretty entrenched in our opinions. You're probably a reasonable friendly person who just wants a better world for all of us. Your intentions are good. We just vehemently disagree about these topics.

Yes. That is a fact. I think you know most people have sex because it feels good but you think that is wrong. That's fine.

You have to communicate with others and be honest with yourself. If you don't want to have sex then don't. If you do want to have sex then make that desire clear to whoever this person is. If you want to have sex but also want to have some type of deeper relationship then make that clear through talking. If you don't want your relationship founded on sex then build your relationship on doing activities together. If you are in a relationship that you feel is founded on just having sex but you wan…

I'll do my best Yoda says "do or do not, there is no try". You'll only actually make a real effort when you finally decide you've had enough. I don't mean to put such a burden on you. I understand you ARE trying to shake this toxic mindset, but this will only happen when you can be honest with yourself. It seems like you're beginning to be honest with yourself that you feel out of control. Now focus that energy on changing a single behavior just for a single day. I know this isn't easy. And if y…

You really have to focus on a single behavior. Thoughts are really really hard to change because usually if we try not think of something we just start thinking about it. Behaviors aren't easy to change but at the very least we can quantify behaviors, we can't really quantify thoughts. It seems like you would be proud of yourself if you just went a single day without looking at porn. This is tangible behavior that you can be proud of yourself for doing. So, chose a day and don't look at porn. Ja…

So I don't think nofap is the only solution. I think masturbating is a good thing so you could try to masturbate but not to porn. Maybe limit yourself to still images instead of videos. No one else is going to make this worse or better for you. It's like losing weight, there are a lot of things that can help and a lot of things that can hinder, inevitably the changes in behavior are made by the person who wants to lose weight. I think the first step is thinking of a single behavior you want to b…

I really don't want to bring you down, but if these thoughts are distressing and impairing your daily life it might be best to get some professional advice. For amateur advice: If you feel like you're addicted to porn maybe try r/nofap. If you just need some shit to cheer you up try r/wholesomemes. If you're addicted to reddit/the internet then get a browser extensions that limits your time per day on certain websites. If you only feel this way once you enter a relationship I always think commun…

You have value. You have worth. Maybe tell yourself that every day when you wake up and before you go to bed. Might even help to tell yourself that multiple times a day. You are a valuable person and people want to be around you. It's much easier for me to tell you to change your internal monologue than for you to actually change your internal monologue. You are worthy of having meaningful and fulling relationships. You are valuable. Keep repeating these things and eventually, you will genuinely…
