The lesson from the Great Gatsby is to never idealize women for something they're not. Gatsby transformed his life, from a poor young man to acquiring a fortune because he wasn't good enough for a rich and beautiful woman in Daisy. He kept a notebook that micromanaged every aspect of his life to self improvement, so that he would be able to marry her. In the end Daisy kills someone and Gatsby takes the blame for it willingly, and she forgets about it the next day. The plot teaches us how stupid …

People can't even begin to imagine experiences that they're foreign to, because they refuse to even consider things outside of their own world view. Hot people don't realize what normal people face, just like how those who are born rich sometimes call the middle class "lazy". It's rare to find anyone who has the empathy to look at things in another person's perspective without having 9434935 movies from society to jam it in (IE white guilt for slavery, or the holocaust).

Good marriage material means that you're stable. If you read between the lines, stable is codeword for $$$$$. Any man who marries a woman who is settling for him is just a disaster waiting to happen.

If you're an attractive male, you can literally get away with anything. The Boston bomber had women had swoon over him for being "misunderstood" and a whole lot of other nonsense. The lesson is to make yourself as attractive as possible. Then when you do immoral things, you won't have to make any excuses. Other people will do it for you.

They should make a disney movie of this. It would be a real feel good story, that would teach a valuable lesson.

When I see a guy go out of his way to help someone who doesn't appreciate it, I just feel a sense of disgust since he's the reason why that mentality exists. The woman doesn't respect him either since he's acting like a servant trying to win her approval. When too many guys do this she's get a princess complex which results in them whining about windmills or the patriarchy when someone who doesn't kiss their ass comes along.

It makes me laugh my ass off when these women talk about how ugly men can just 'become' rich and get women. They have no idea what it takes to create wealth. If you're an ugly man it is extremely difficult to succeed in business. There's a reason why CEO's are taller than the average population, it's because looks matter. The impression you make, all of these things play a big role in moving up the corporate ladder. The only thing ugly men can have a fair shot at succeeding in is in pure meritoc…

If you're an 80 year old while you get a wife in her 20's, she will be fucking men her age no matter how good your "frame" is. The guy understood that. He's a racist douche, but the woman really shouldn't be making this stuff public.

Incredible how this becomes an issue after she becomes his WIFE. Why didn't she care to mention how sexually unsatisfying she found him before marrying him? After the guy puts in years of emotional and financial commitment, she's finally honest with him? This is sociopathic behavior, but for some reason society doesn't consider it that way.

Amber Heard is the only gorgeous woman on that list. No idea why that Indian girl is on the list, when there are hundreds of hotter Indian women in every major college campus.

This is why I don't understand why people deny that 'creepiness' is just another word for unattractive. All these studies are pretty obvious to anyone who actually observes other people.

LOL at how she mentions The Great Gatsby as a great romance. The novel is about how idiotic it is to idealize shallow women into something they're not. She killed a man and Gatsby took the fall for for that. Jesus christ, did she even read the book?

Filipinos have the greatest inferiority complex that I've ever seen. Just look at any Facebook page with them commenting in, it's utter filth. The men there seemed proud that western men go there for sex tourism which is just bizarre to me. Back in college, (I live in the US) we had a Filipino club society. I have some black/white male friends who told me that they joined for access to easy women. Incidentally, all the female members are Filipino though...

From my personal experience, women in STEM seem to marry early and have low divorce rates. If you want a LTR, you shouldn't date people who don't know what they want in their lives. You can usually find them in majors like psychology and women's studies.

It would kill me to see my daughter (if I ever have one), get cumshotted on the face and to say "Thanks Daddy" on a porn site. It's just so utterly disgusting, especially since she's privileged enough to not have to do things like this for money. I don't judge the woman from Eastern Europe for prostituting to make ends meet, but to allow a man to dominate you on camera to pass the time is just too much.

The disturbing part is that this is somehow a great romance to /r/askWomen... How can their brains rationalize this as something other than a gigantic betrayal? She settled for Craig for the money, while constantly dreaming of getting pummeled by Paul. And we're supposed to feel sorry for her?

Just look at this: Black people are considered masculine in western society which is a + for the men, and a - for the women. Asians are considered feminine which is a - for the men and a + for the women. I don't get why idiotic people deny things that are so prevalent in society. Just look at dating site statistics, and you'll see that masculinity is considered attractive for men, but not for women.

Why do you need anyone to "confirm" this? This shit is so obvious, that it's plain as day. If a woman that's 100lb overweight aggressively hits on you, chances are you'll refuse no matter how nice her personality is. If a gorgeous woman who looks like Olivia Wilde hits on someone, then the guy will almost always welcome it. The only difference is that men realize that "creepiness" correlates with attractiveness, while for some reason women deny this... The term basically means that you're too so…

We live in the age of facebook and twitter. Most women who are with loads of guys live for attention. They put every aspect of their lives on social media, since they think they're exceptional (lol). A quick google search tells you a lot about a person. The classier type of women don't put up idiotic "inspirational quotes" on Twitter or any of that pretentious crap.

Computer Science is being dumbed down across the board. Some people are even graduating now, without having a good grasp of pointers. C used to be the lingua franca, and now we have a bunch of web hipsters who only program in Javascript. Nice to see a woman in Computer Science here. By the way, no one will think that you got your degree because you're a female. Software design is one of the few jobs that is a meritocracy. People will know very quickly from reading your source code on how good yo…

I once had a female in HR quiz me about how timesharing and multitasking works for the Linux kernel, LOL. She didn't even know what 'Linux' or 'kernel' is when I asked her to clarify on a question. Hell, she doesn't even know what the purpose of an operating system is. The true wonders of affirmative action.

I work in the software field. Since we can't hire women as programmers (since there is a huge shortage of them), we overcompensate by hiring a lot of women in HR/marketing . It's crazy how the programmers work 3x as much, while these HR and marketing people are chatting about their love lives at work. People in HR have no idea how lucky they have it. This is where companies stock up on affirmative action hires, since it's a job that anyone can do.

White-knightism is an utterly disgusting thing that has gained popularity in society. We have so many men who think that women are the fairer and weaker sex (while simultaneously thinking that gender is a social construct like 1984's doublethink), so that they need to be coddled and protected. That's why society helps weak women, but not weak men. It's because the knights subconsciously think they'll get sex from women by protecting them, and they don't bother to do the same with men.

Never, ever LTR sluts. This is why we do not date them and spin them as plates, it's because women like that OP are too damaged to LTR. Her post should be read by every man who thinks that dating a slut is a good idea.

"I compromised everything about myself to try to keep my family together." What does this even mean? Did she stop fucking other men because she has a daughter now? Did she have to settle with a provider instead of guys who use her and throw her away?

This is true. The biggest problem Asians face is that they are not tall. Look at any list of what women want and height is at the very top.

Women have it 10x better than men in Computer Science. A lot of internships try to get 50/50 men women even though only about 5% of the students in a CS program are women. I can understand women complaining about certain fields like politics, but tech is a paradise for women. The fact that they whine about Computer Science is incredible with how many white knights there are in this field.

That's true. Nothing turns a woman off more than weakness. Just look at my short summary of her rant: Why don't you treat me as a human being instead of someone you're trying to fuck. You're a loser in a fantasy world. You're not a nice guy, you're a creep. So she's complaining that the guy is objectifying her by showing not showing her proper respect as a 'human being'. Then she turns around and treats him like trash (while complaining that the guy isn't treating him a human being) by calling h…

Lol at the women praising her. Would they praise a man for telling a fat woman about how hideous she is, if she dared to be aggressive with him? But let's praise the woman for humiliating the man. Let's praise her for bullying someone publicly for being socially awkward. Dear god, these people are retarded. I've been hit on before by unattractive women and the thought of humiliating them has never come to my mind.

The PC thing is out of control. These people don't see society as how it is, they see it for how it should be. No amount of wanting makes people 'equal'. Nature is cruel and so are genetics.

What's amazing is that almost every Asian female I meet say that they date white men because Asian men are "too controlling". It's a crock of bullshit, and they need to make themselves seem like victims. Just look at all the tiger moms out there.

Just a stupid rant by me, but I hate how so many people are self proclaimed 'artists'. The term is almost perverted to the point where it means nothing now. Thankfully we don't have people calling themselves scientists, without accomplishing anything in science (at least not yet).

I love how she mentions that they both have the same salary. If this model guy didn't have a high salary, she would be fucking him already. Instead she's trying to have a LTR with him so that she could also extract resources.

The thing about "assholes" is that they're not afraid of rejection. Nice guys care about what women think of them (they act nice for the approval of others), assholes don't give a shit. That's why nice guys are damaged, they're too worried about worrying what women want. Being nice for approval is a sign of weakness, and weakness is the most unattractive quality to a woman. Confidence translates to not giving a shit about the approval of others, which directly contradicts the nice guy.

Men do not go to parties to argue with women about music. She has this idiotic idea that people care about her opinions. People go to parties to get laid or to be around friends. They have very low tolerance for overweight asian women in Asia, so I don't know why she's expecting to be courted like a princess.

I have some male friends who call themselves "feminists", but even they don't date sluts. They talk about how they respect them as much as normal women, but never commit to them. Men subconsciously do not want to date them no matter how much they say they respect them.

Wow, I read her wikipedia page, and she literally fucked her way to the top. She fucks a man 30 years older than her for a student visa to come to the US, while she has with another man for bucks. No idea why in the world someone like Murdoch would marry her.

It means that unless you won the genetic lottery (by being good looking, rich, smart, or athletic) you need to work your ass off to be better than other people. Everyone has this mentality than they're better than others, but the truth is, that can't be true for everyone. If you're in the middle of the bell curve and there's nothing exceptional about you, then your work ethic needs to be your defining factor to rise about the masses.

If you were to ask a regular guy what their unicorn would be like, they would say: Extremely hot Smart and engaging with a good sense of humor Loyal Works out and has her own hobbies Keeps their partner happy Has a lot of tact To expect all of these things from a woman is insane. I've never even met a man that fulfills all of these criteria. Oneitis is idiotic, and most guys who think they found the unicorn have idealized the woman in their minds like Gatsby did.

People with self respect tend to have a lot of pride. You don't test the limits of people with pride since that will usually lead to violence. Bullies go after victims who don't fight back for a reason. In this case, she is bullying the beta because she knows she can get away with it. If her boyfriend is a professional boxer, she sure as hell won't do this, I can guarantee you that.

He was never alpha. A woman would never act like this to a man with self respect, since there's a chance that she could get hurt. What you see here is that the guy stopped being a provider, so she openly fucks other men instead of doing it behind his back. What most people from that thread don't realize is that she didn't 'suddenly' become a bitch, much in the same way that Einstein didn't suddenly become good at physics. No, she was that way for a long time. Now that she got a great job and he'…

Most guys would react violently if someone pulled this kind of stunt. She throws him away like trash, and she openly declares that she's gonna fuck this guy in their house? Come on. Can you just imagine a woman telling you: Hi, honey! I'm gonna have a guy over for valentines day. Make sure you're not home that night, so he can properly pump me throughout the night. Women are smart enough not to pull this on someone with self respect. This guy messed up hard.

I never said that you needed high level math to be a programmer. I said that reading code is akin to reading a math textbook. If you've read a modern math textbook, you'll see that it's full of proofs and sometimes it takes you an hour to read a few pages. You need to CONCENTRATE on it. It isn't something you can read while multitasking, which is what I do when I'm on reddit. A lot of people don't have the attention span to do this.

You don't need a college degree. If you want to take courses, visit coursera.org. The courses there are free and they're taught by professors from schools like Stanford. There is so much information out there on the web. The first step to becoming a programmer is to Google. They spend more time doing that than coding, since you need to do a lot of research on things you don't understand.

Coding takes a lot of hours of effort to be decent in. Most people are not willing to spend the required hours to even learn the basics of a programming language, but to even be good at it, you need to study other peoples code as carefully as a math textbook. It's insane to try to get 'normal' people to do this. You either have the desire to read the HUGE AMOUNT OF INFO you have online or you don't, no amount of TV commercials will change that.

This is incredibly true. I see so many bleeding hearts on Facebook cry about injustice towards African Americans, and then a few hours later they say something racist about an Indian/Chinese/Arabic person. Political correctness and all that other nonsense only applies to blacks, but it's easier to change yourself than to change society, so you should focus on the former.

Start hitting the gym. You will relieve all your pent up angst, and you'll have an outlet for your stress. You'll feel better in no time. As someone with a very nerdy major (Computer Science), I'd advise you to take a few female dominated classes (such as psychology) and to hit on the girls there. Use it to practice your social skills. If you haven't done it already, take a speech class. It will get you out of your comfort zone, and it'll give you the confidence to express yourself in front of a…
