People are upset with what he is saying which I don't understand.First off, I'm on mobile so I can't see what I'm typing, so apologies in advance for typos. I get what you're saying, and people can definitely relate to characters that don't necessarily represent them, but it's a lot easier to relate to, or even more exciting to relate to them, if you can see yourself in them fundamentally. For instance, Daredevil, Jon Snow, Maximus, and Spider-Man are all characters I see a lot of myself in, as I'm a white guy. White-led movies are the most common-place, and usually the stars are men or evenly split (I am aware there are female-led/dominated movies but they're an exception and are part of my point).
