Why would you expect her to be attracted to some meek little nerd? She just wants one who's even the slightest bit interesting and appealing, can't really blame her.

Based on that pic she's an easy 6. Most people on the Internet's ratings are either 2-3 points too high (chicks they are banging/want to bang) or way too unfairly low because they consider her a bitchy feminist or whatever. Considering she's 38 and comparing her to other chicks her age she's even a little better.

You could not have made a bigger fool of yourself, short of like, dropping trou and taking a shit in the middle of the carpet and rolling around in it. Read the advice in the thread, stop trying to one up people, act like a normal human being, learn graciousness and humility because frankly you need to start at step fucking one. Also, of course the dude was talking shit behind your back, I would have too "what the fuck is that guy's deal" - everyone laughs, etc. Seriously dude. Erase and start a…

Then show it. Don't make vague statements about 'food that comes in boxes.' You can absolutely eat sugar if you train hard. Most of it's problems come with the corresponding sedentary lifestyle

Not in this thread, no, just some generic broscience about 'if it comes in a box or package don't eat it.' I'm calling 'new convert to fitness getting carried away' on that statement. Edit- also 'build a strong lean body not a swollen musclebound one.' Just lol. If you want to show you don't know what you're talking about, that's the way. Next he'll be talking about 'toning'

I basically agree with this. The best thing you can do is be honest with yourself. Honestly evaluate your failings and why they are that way. Don't let your ego get in the way. Don't be brutal and harsh but be fair and don't sugarcoat it either. If you are completely honest with yourself in your critiques and evaluations the solutions and ways to improve will appear for you by themselves most of the time.

He's a narcissist who believe he can do no wrong. He's been rich so long and had people kissing his ass he's used to thinking he's bad ass. I can see using his behavior as an illustration, kind of, but his situation and behavior isn't really applicable to most people. He's an utter moron who thinks he's a genius, big deal, I have 5 of them at work and none of them will ever back down but that is all just a show and a demonstration of their stupidity. You can destroy them like a jenga block with …

Estupide. I do not believe, however, that lifting should be number 1 (professional lifters excluded). Past a certain age, all of us will succumb to aging: testosterone levels drop, our joints get creaky, bone density decreases, the works. It is a facet of nature. In this stage, we do not exercise to be the dominant man. We exercise to maintain health, to extend our lives, to fight the ravaging diseases that plague the elderly. At this stage, we are doing it for ourselves. And chances are, it is …

You aren't a part of the future if you have kids. You don't own kids. You have them, you are part of their life for a while, it is just a relationship same as a wife or a friend. Their accomplishments are not your accomplishments and their mere existence doesn't make you immortal in any ways. Whether or not you had kids 500 years down the line has no bearing on your life at the moment, they are just people you are tangentially tied to. As much as you like to think plopping out some inconsequenti…

Your long term value as an organism is determined by the number of progeny you create that in turn successfully procreate. This is not something anybody can really contend with; your life and your contributions are dwarfed in scope to what you contribute to the future by creating strong/plentiful offspring and the continued sustaining of the human race with good genes. There are always exceptions (like scientific breakthroughs etc.) but the vast majority of what we contribute to the future is ge…

Because I don't really give a shit. Thanks for trying to help but I am just commenting on something I think is gay, if that's alright with you. I hate that useless little nerds are getting rich making stupid shit. If they invented computers or whatever fine, but if they are just contributing a useless little app to the narcissism and iphone culture of our age then fuck them they should be strung up when the revolution happens.

None of that has anything to do with her face being attractive or not. She is, if you busted out the rulers and measurements and shit she would be. You are the one talking about how it's scientific and quantifiable and blah blah, If you're gonna go around talking science you're gonna have to be able to acknowledge beyond your personal preferences for unbiased evaluations

Far and away my best move is to sort myself out so my wife comes around This will never work. She is who she is and nothing you do will ever change anything. Many a person in an awful relationship has uttered this exact phrase. Get your shit together ASAP man with the goal in mind of getting out of there, like, in a fixed timeframe. Otherwise this shit could spiral on for years.

Even if that wasn't the case, marriage doesn't happen without pedestalization, oneitis, and a lack of abundance mentality. It is the most beta move you could ever make. Any argument to the contrary is just your hamster spouting horse shit. You're gonna cringe so hard in 15 years when you come back and read this and remember what you were like as a 19 year old

I don't know the situation, and obviously neither does anyone else, but why is everyone automatically assuming OP is in the right here? How often is a 19 year old or whatever arguing with their parents actually in the right? Maybe his mom actually was right about the person's behavior and just ended up agreeing with him to shut the whole thing up. I mean 19 year olds often feel compelled to explain to their parents how the world works, what with their newfound and all encompassing wisdom and the…

Talk about unable to see your own bullshit. I think the lesson is just not to expect anything from anyone. If you do some big grand gesture do it knowing what you're getting into and don't expect anything in return. This doesn't preclude doing something nice for a stranger but it does preclude 'sticking your neck out' or risking yourself hoping the other person will reward you a certain way or putting another person's well being ahead of your own unnecessarily. That I can agree with. You have to look out for yourself first and foremost be…

Is it wrong to emotionally and psychologically manipulate women? Maybe. But the media has no problem convincing your girlfriend to abandon you and ride a parade of baloney ponies until she finds herself. If you don't control her mind someone else will. If you don't engage in psychological puppetry, she will follow her tingles onto another man's sausage. Is it wrong to cheat your way through placement tests and university? Probably. It certainly undermines the spirit of academia. But at the same …

Women hate decision making. Just make it for them. No they don't. Maybe like Decisions with a capital D but they have all kinds of ideas about any small stuff I just couldn't give a fuck, let them have their way. Nothing is more sad than some dude trying to be top dog by micro managing all kinds of little shit. That's plainly not true. He stands to profit a lot from his words, never ignore that incentive. No, he really doesn't. He doesn't make that much money and he doesn't care about making that much money, he makes almost no effort to market his products and never seems to say anything for the sake of drumming up revenue. You have a very cynical and wrongheaded view if you think everyone is so shallow as to only say things that might profit them, or that everyone might misrepresent things and lie for…

I wasn't doing any cardio. And if it didn't work he wouldn't recommend it, being as he's coached thousands of skinny kids who've done it and seen the results firsthand whereas you are basing the entirety of your belief on internet hearsay and /r/fitness rules of thumb. It's pretty fucking hard to make a skinny kid in his early 20s who is pr-ing his squat 3 times a week and has never lifted weights before fat. It's also hard to get him to eat enough to sustain that kind of progress, hence the rec…

Well all I know is 6000 calories worked great for me and much less than that did not. Maybe the fact that training hard 3 days a week and eating mostly decent food results in lots of burned energy and energy converted into muscle mass but I didn't get even remotely fat doing that
/r/TheRedPill17/04/15 03:14 PM

Amazingly he actually knows more about the subject that you do, having lifted and coached skinny ass beginners for 30+ years. He's seen what works, whereas all the internet ladies get aghast at the idea of losing their abz, but getting big and strong on 3500 calories a day is laughable. The program just won't work. Skinny hardgainers bulking on 6,000 calories works just fine, I've done it, didn't get that fat, gained tons of muscle and strength. It's not even remotely bad advice unless you are t…

Yeah because they lose huge amounts of weight getting into show shape. Going from 180 at 12% down to 155 at 6% to be on stage doesn't mean they were fat before it means you lose tons of weight, water, and muscle getting down that low. On stage bodybuilders weights are not representative of how much muscle you can carry, they are representative of how much you weigh while dehydrated at 6% bodyfat, there's a huge difference.

Not that I want to get in on this but there's a difference between advanced Olympic Weightlifters and beginners. Advanced lifters who are already big and strong can only gain muscle slowly, yes. Beginners can gain muscle MUCH faster. You say earlier that the difference between an average dude and an elite powerlifter is 20 lbs of muscle. NO. Take an average dude say 5'10 170 at 20% bf. 20 lbs of muscle takes him to 190 at maybe 17% bf, if he cuts maybe down to 175 at 13%. Is a dude at that size …

Being that we're talking about Rippetoe here is a piece he just wrote on the subject http://pjmedia.com/lifestyle/2015/04/09/losing-bodyfat-or-gaining-muscle-mass-which-is-more-important/ Basically, fat itself isn't really harmful, it's the process of getting fat - bad diet and sedentary lifestyle. If you train hard and get overweight from eating a ton of not shitty food you aren't necessarily unhealthy. However this doesn't apply to most HAES people.

I don't think so. I guess it depends on the person but an adult should be perfectly capable of doing the right thing or a good thing for it's own sake without getting all self congratulatory. If I decide to give a buck to a bum which I almost never do I don't feel all high from it or anything I just do it same as if I like swept up some broken glass so dogs don't walk on it or whatever.

Public versus private altruism. Anyone making a big show of it is a hypocrite. That's why I hate so much whenever anyone says 'Oh so and so celebrity is SUCH a good person, they blah blah.' The mark of a good person is what they do when no one will ever find out. "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. Matthew 6:2, not that I'm a…
