My approach: Don't be a douche Be able to have a non-bar related conversation (little difficult in a packed place) Don't focus on them, talk to lots of people Don't over tip (this matters) If they give you a free drink make them have one with you Break the conversation off by saying "You know what, you've been working really hard. I'll give you a 15 minute break." Return every so often, to that bartender/waitress alone, to order drinks and for quick chats in between DO NOT GET SHIT FACED I've go…
