Because malicious mods in /MRA want to silence all trans people by discrediting their views. In other news, I'm sorry for being an asshole. There are things that cause me to be fiercely emotional and I guess we just hit one. I do appreciate the ways in which you are an ally and I hope one day we can all come to some sort of agreement that doesn't marginalize and does save everyone from the heartache I know has been felt.

You just disagreed with them, you didn't even stoop to uncivil name-calling as they did. So insultingly claiming that most trans women don't pass (fancy way of calling them ugly) or outright calling me a "keyboard tranny" isn't name-calling. Hmm, alright then.

the misuse of this word is something that was primarily popularized by women though, if I recall; as a means to further hurt and criminalize men and male sexuality The wimminz are out to get your sexualities! No one would ever also harass, insult or attack a guy for having sex with a bisexual, kinky or tomboyish girl either. Classic. It's the woman's responsibility because you might be made fun of! tomboy is a personality trait(which would generally be pretty apparent from the get go and non-per…

feminists and trans people often Just because you've seen it happen a few times does not give you the right to make such sweeping generalizations. "white straight cismales" So you projected your own assumptions of what they were saying onto them, and accused them of insulting tones they didn't have. It's become an insult when said by some people. No, it becomes an insult when someone says it as an insult. The person who says it is absolutely irrelevant.

"cutting dick off" comment was a summary for the sake of brevity and because, quite frankly, that's the way most straight guys will perceive it. So it's okay to reinforce a complete falsehood for the sake of brevity. Awesome. though please consider that it was in the context of and equally ridiculous comparison to bestiality made by another Redditor. "Equally ridiculous?" It's fucking ridiculous to call a man a rapist just because he didn't tell you he was married. Whoever believes that is truly off their shit. On the other hand, I think you're morally obligated to tell the person you're about to sleep with that you made a solemn vow not to do exactly what you're doing, unless your wife is fine with it. (Some wives are.) You, however, are not morally obliged to tell the woman you're about to sleep with that you had testicular cancer that required surgery, or that…

Why do you MRAs continue to push and push and push that trans women are tricking anyone by not disclosing medical history? It's ridiculous. If medical history is so damned important, it's your own responsibility to find out about them. Nobody else's. I would also go so far as to say that if you're looking for a hookup, a one-night stand, or a fling, respect is probably not so important as lust and chemistry.

You are not wrong in anything you've said here. My only argument has been that there should be a 3d: "I'm infertile and cannot ever bear children, and I don't really want to go into detail about why." At that point it should be totally fair for you to break it off and you both go your own way. You deserve to know if she's fertile, but you don't necessarily deserve to know why. I do feel personally (opinion) that it's best for her to be fully truthful, however.
/r/MensRights13/10/11 07:29 AM

Nobody is saying that it's wrong for men to not want to sleep with trans women. It is, however, wrong to deny a trans woman womanhood, which MRAs have done even in this thread, and also to assert that a woman is morally obligated to tell you about her past medical conditions before you sleep with her (or assert she has any other "moral obligations" that you see fit), and also to assert that no trans woman can fully pass as a "real" or "natural" woman, which also has happened in this very thread.…

If they have a vagina, they're of the female sex, and denying them of that makes you anything but an ally. Your tone has always been that of a transphobe, despite being vocal about your ally status. Gender is their presentation, a social construct based on gender cues. If you see me and you see my long hair, or my pink nails, those are gender cues meant to signal you to understanding that I am a female. This is why a lot of girls don't want to wear boy's or boyish clothing, because it erases som…

You think that these are criteria for being a part of the majority? Very few women meet all of these standards. Many women are infertile, by choice or otherwise. Many women do not produce enough estrogen, and are forced to take estrogen supplements. Almost all women lost their ability to produce enough estrogen as they get older. Many women have chromosomes other than XX. There are about half a dozen variations for them alone. And it's not that rare for a woman to be born without a uterus either…

Good for you, you live in a twisted state where you can manipulate the law to further your transphobia...maybe. That's great for you, and the fact that a law was passed totally changes my mind /s. A trans woman is biologically female. She is only genotypically male. I've already explained how.

If you prefer one woman over another because of something that your senses cannot sense, then you are being bigoted. In this case, that bigotry has a name. Your senses can sense stupidity, or masculinity. Your senses cannot sense chromosomes.

If you are picking and choosing women because of medical history, it makes you bigoted against those women with your unfavorable medical history. If you were to say you don't want to sleep with women who have had ovarian cancer, you would be bigoted for picking and choosing based on something so shallow. In this case, there just happens to be a word for being bigoted towards this certain medical issue: transphobia.

I don't find someone who doesn't feel comfortable in their own body attractive. Simple as that. Do you make sure every woman you are attracted to is completely comfortable in her own body? I highly doubt this. No, I'm arguing that the analogy is false. There are real differences between meat and plants, and meat cannot be considered a plant. A trans woman, however, is a woman with a certain medical history. And there's no trickery. Oh look, you edited your stupid post into a less stupid (content-size-wise) but just as stupid factually. "Ravaging" has many meanings, but at no time have I heard it to mean "raping." At worst, in a sexual context, it implies near-destructive force, but not necessarily in a destructive manner. (Think of a woman screaming "harder.") So, if anything, I'm "male-phobic," rather than trans phobic. This phrase proves you're transphobic. You may not claim vocally to hate trans people, but that doesn't…

A trans woman does not, in fact, have a "fake vagina." If you understood the process of human development you would know that, if anything, every penis is fake based on the fact that humans are essentially female until a certain point in development. The line of the bottom of your penis is where that vagina's labia sealed up and reformed. Many intersex women have clits that resemble penises, the reason being that's how a penis is made, by inverting a vagina. Sexual reassignment surgery simply re…

Nobody has any obligation to reveal anything about their history, medical or otherwise. They are a woman at that time, and nothing more or less, so there is no omission. No more than a man who once had surgery on his back is lying by omission by not bringing that up to the woman he's planning on sleepin with. And if you feel the need to satisfy your bigotry towards trans people, then it's your responsibility to make sure they're not trans. It's your own preference, YOU uphold it.

Nobody can "tell [one's] birth sex," and it's inane to insinuate the myth that it's possible. Regardless, however, it is inherently transphobic to say that you suddenly aren't attracted to the woman you were ravaging moments ago because of a medical condition. I don't believe it's so inevitable, but at that point it's up to the people to decide how they will go about it. The woman could say any number of things ranging from outright lies to simple "genetic disorders." Honestly if a trans woman is in that kind of relationship, she knows that being with a guy who can't accept her past isn't the best idea, but that's an issue of two people working out issues, and no two people are the same. Good try. Hey, it's better than some of the analogies. Only problem is, you're saying that trans women are trans pretending to be women. The problem is that they're women, they just also happen to have medical conditions that earned them the adjective "trans," so your analogy is moot. Trans women aren't pretending, and the fact that you and other think they are is what makes you transphobic.

And this is where you're wrong and transphobic. Trans women are women. Trans is just an adjective pertaining to medical history. Also, if reproduction is so important, ask if she's fertile. Singling out being trans because of fertility being the issue is transphobic, just like singling out women who have had ovarian cancer. Only difference is there's no fancy word for assholes who don't want women who had ovarian cancer. In case you missed it, the point is focus. If you are focused on a woman's …

If you've made it to bed with a girl, then you're sufficiently attracted, and therefore have consented. If you find out later the girl is trans, or a nazi, or a murderer, you cannot retract consent and call it rape. If medical history is so important, you should ask if they're trans, or if they've had genetic hormonal problems, or whatever you claim bugs you. If trans or not trans is part of your attraction process, then it's your own responsibility to confirm this attraction before taking her t…

Yeah, I agree. Nobody should force trans women to have to be considered less than women when it comes to sex.

So much misinformation and lack of understanding it makes my head hurt. A trans woman is a woman, and there's no deceit or omission in that statement.

Its your own sexual consent and you do not need to justify giving it or withholding it to anyone. Finally, someone sane. You're absolutely right. I think the problem is not saying that a man should or should not be allowed to want or not want to have sex with a trans woman. It's the men who assert that it's the trans woman's responsibility to disclose, when it's not. Just like a skinny woman has no right to disclose to a man she was once fat. Either way, the man is nothing more than shallow, and…

This vegetarian/meat-lover argument is totally stupid. The difference between "woman" and "trans woman" is an adjective. The proper analogy is tricking a man who only eats 90/10 ground beef into eating 70/30.
/r/MensRights13/10/11 01:01 AM

And you honestly don't see where you're wrong in all this? YOU are the problem. YOU and everyone like you is the issue. People who don't realize that a transsex woman is a woman, and has never been a man. People need to realize that every penis is just a vagina that morphed in the womb. People need to realize that there is no difference between a man's tongue and a woman's. You are transphobic because you're homophobic; not because you're not attracted to men, but because you're scared that, thr…

the off chance that the guy wants to get married and have children then it's an issue of disclosing fertility, and has nothing to do with them being trans or not.

trans"women" rapists. You realize you just invalidated your entire argument, right? You biologically cannot be unattracted to someone because of chromosomes or lack of ovaries.

Are you trying to say that a trans woman who doesn't bring up her medical history is lying? You seem like one of the more reasonable people here, so that's why I'm asking. Your point seems valid, except that it seems like you're saying that a trans woman not specifically bringing up the fact that she's trans is a lie.
/r/MensRights13/10/11 12:52 AM

Careful though, because your scenario isn't even passive deception. If a trans woman says she's a woman, then that should not be questioned. Many men here would argue otherwise, to the point that if she had sex with them, she'd be raping them. Otherwise, you're spot on. If only the others here understood it this way.
/r/MensRights13/10/11 12:50 AM

Oh, whoops, you accidentally a valid point there. Because it's not deceptive for a transsex woman to say she's a woman. She is. What you're saying is comparable to saying that telling someone you're a Christian, when by that person's definition you aren't, you're being deceptive.

In addition to Nijuro's answer, it should be noted that even your penis was a vagina once (to put things painfully simplisticly). Testosterone caused your body to reform all that stuff into a penis. That line on the bottom of your penis would have been your labia if you hadn't been a boy. Sexual reassignment surgeries really just reverse that effect. (again, we're super-simplifying the process, but the basis is still there!) Also, thanks for being one of the few reasonable people here! <3

men would associate having sex with an MTF as having sex with a man Personally, it would be better if men who feel this way would just admit it and be called the assholes they are for it, instead of trying to say it's right to feel like this, and that it's the woman's fault for their own misconceptions. The reason this question exists is because of MRA's in this subreddit time and time again trying to justify their own homophobia by calling a trans woman a rapist.
/r/MensRights13/10/11 12:38 AM
1

Then you are the rare 1%, and you should feel proud. The issue here is not disclosure of fertility, but disclosure of medical history, and the varying degrees of wrongness the MRA group as a whole continues to place that non-disclosure, up to the point of rape, or deserving of assault.
/r/MensRights13/10/11 12:35 AM

So it's the woman's responsibility to disclose because you might not get laid after all if you ask about their medical history. Mmmk, got it.
/r/MensRights13/10/11 12:32 AM

Actually it would be more comparable to tricking a man who only eats 90/10 ground beef into eating 70/30.
/r/MensRights13/10/11 12:31 AM
3

So it's unfair to not pander to an incorrect thought process equating a woman to a woman just because of medical history? Also wouldn't the analogy more correctly be "why would it bother you if someone didn't tell you they rubbed your toothbrush in their ass?" Also, if your toothpaste looks and tastes like ass spunk, you might want new toothpaste.

So if the girl you had sex with was into kink and she didn't tell you, it'd be dishonesty or rape. So if the girl you had sex with was bisexual and she didn't tell you, it'd be dishonesty or rape. So if the girl you had sex with was a tomboy and she didn't tell you, it'd be dishonesty or rape.

/r/MensRights13/10/11 12:22 AM

What, it's insulting to be straight and/or cis? I think the point is that it's silly for someone who is neither gay nor trans to think that somehow pointing out transphobia amongst homosexuals as if somehow that's an argument against the MRA's who say that non-disclosure of trans status is dishonest/rape/etc.

I've already responded to you once, but this takes the cake. Well, almost. I loathe you and everyone who thinks like you, assuming it's somehow betrayal or assault if you willingly sleep with a woman who just happened to have a little medical condition quite a few people have. Unless they're a women who just happened to be born with a somewhat rare medical condition that was corrected with surgery who slept with you without telling you about that medical condition (because nothing about it is contagious in any way shape or form)...then it's cool to just beat the fuck out of that woman.

Yes. Generally "transgender" is an umbrella term for people who are either transsex, non-binary, or transvestites. (I may be missing some, but you get the idea). Transsex usually means that they identify with a binary gender other than the one at birth.
