Not really, tho. X² can be either xx or -x-x. if you take the square root of x² then, it can be either x or -x for example, take x as 2. the sentence √(22) is equal to √(-2-2), which represents √(-x*-x). √(xx) = √(-x-x) √(22) = √(-2-2) √(4) = √(4) although x (2, in the example) is the principal square root, -x (-2, in the example) is still a valid square root for this equation. therefore, the equation that the OP posted is rendered invalid, as it backfires from the original meaning if you still …
