I've got no beef with adding information - it's vital to debate. It also constitutes new premises to be attacked or accepted. 1	The Academic Study Fallacy A utilitarian identifies as such because he/she has accepted certain premises (e.g. "an action is moral if it maximizes utility") which align with utilitarianism. Ditto for an altruist (e.g. "an action is moral if it helps someone else"). Why? How deep does your understanding need to be?
