The worst is when the wife won’t have sex with you. I should have totally gotten a mistress. But no I was too honorable, and then she left me for some caveman looking dude and I’m sure she’s not celibate with him. I would never accept a sexless situation again. I’m not looking for a roommate.

Is this a good thing for people who went through a divorce?

Yup, filtering out girls who just want free drinks or free dinner is key

Yeah it’s called exposure therapy. I also would let places affect me and then I realized if those places affect me it means that my ex is still controlling me. That helped me get over it.

Can you explain? What questions do you get?

You can also learn to pull your own tooth out but it’s also helpful to hire a professional

Yeah, too young and they’ll make fun of you or make little digs about your age. That’s not fun

Yeah they have been pumped and dumped by so many guy that any action you take no matter how well intentioned, they’ll look at it through the lense of their jerk ex boyfriends and judge you even though you did nothing wrong. It gets so annoying and exhausting
/r/Divorce_Men14/05/25 11:55 PM

Yeah they go through a hoe phase with a bunch of one night stands, then realize it's degrading and not what they want, and then they make the next guy wait for 2 months for sex.

You're close, but not quite there. It's not that women don't have close friends, they do. But they are very selfish, catty and love backstabbing their friends. They have no idea what is honor, duty and loyalty. No idea whatsoever. And here's the thing. Once you need something and once she has a better option, that same lack of honor duty and loyalty is what will make it so easy for her to leave you and jump on someone else's cock.

Your first mistake is looking for a fault in you to make sense of why she's leaving. Like whether you cheated, whether you're a good dad. Plenty of us here haven't cheated and are good fathers and are still getting divorced. This society tells women that they don't need to be wives, they can ride the cock carousel. The fact that you won't be under the same roof as your son is a terrifying thought to men, but women do not care one bit. And the fact that you'll be blind in 20 years means that she …

Thanks for the recommendation. Divorce American Style from the 60s with Dick Van Dyke is great too. They show the asset split negotiation with lawyers, I was like that was me!!!

You know how when your team loses the championship you feel terrible the next day but then it feels easier and easier. That’s how it is with divorce. After a while you’ll it won’t sting as bad

What’s your age? (Approximate) Is your sex drive low because sex is bad? Do you have trouble maintaining erection? Do you have trouble ejaculating? If sex is bad because of erection and ejaculation issues that’s why you don’t want to initiate. Try going to a strip club to see if that kick starts your libido. It doesn’t matter who pumps up the tires as long as your girlfriend rides the bike

Do you think it's cos you were 10 years younger? I don't know how old you are, but lets say you were 35 then and 45 now, isn't it expected for a 35 year old to go on more dates than a 45 year old?
/r/Divorce_Men12/01/25 04:16 AM

Yes, but our brains are elastic. With time you will be able to make connections with someone else. I don't even remember what my ex looked like after 1.5 years.

I take downvotes as a positive sign :-) I didn't want to have another man raise my kids, so me and my ex stuck it out until the kids were 18. It was the best thing I did.

It's incredible, why didn't you text me good morning, why didn't you ask me how my day was, why didn't you plan something to do this weekend, why didn't you ask me how my mom was even though I told you she had the sniffles 2 weeks ago, it's just relentless

Why would I be happy for her? She betrayed the vows we gave in front of God, family and friends. Why? Because I got covid and couldn't walk and gained weight. She said she lost intimate feelings for me and fell in love with some guy who slid into her Instagram DMs. Fuck that hoe PS I lost all the weight I gained during covid, and then some

Yeah, before I got divorced, in order to prevent the divorce I agreed to all my ex wife's demands and it only sped up the divorce process lol I'm much better at saying no now, but it's annoying i have to go through these shit tests

You will not find a person who cares more about work life balance than me. But if I was laid off next month I would be saying "I wish I didn't miss that deadline". I don't work OT a lot, but when there's something urgent, it has to be done.
/r/Divorce_Men25/12/24 07:46 PM

I agree, but there's a deadline and work needs to get done. If it's not there goes the bonus and probably the job when the next round of layoffs hits. It already feels bad to put in the extra hours without my girlfriend whining about it and making it even worse.

I went after my divorce, and the therapist was like "there's not much more I can do to help you" so I stopped going. But when this woman heard I went and stopped, she was like you have to keep going. Basically she thinks the therapist will take her side, so she wants me to go not to better myself, but for her thoughts to be validated by the therapist.

She was sad a year or two ago but you don’t notice cos you were busy. Now she’s told you it’s over and she’s relieved. She also probably is dating someone else, if not she’s at least talking to some guys on FB or IG
