It's usually a lot better. Despite the stereotype from TV shows like MadMen and the Crown and whatever else WASP-fantasy older (40+) women dream of - the typical family money is more like the DuPonts - fat useless men who've never worked a job or done anything on their own - and are in all likelihood utterly boring.

The biggest downside of dating a single mom from a guy's perspective: you'd be raising some other man's kid. The biggest downside of dating a single dad from a woman's perspective: part of your money would be going to some other woman and kid. So unlike with a single mom, a single dad can negative the effect and still be HVM.....if he has a lot of wealth. Having a kid with an ex isn't a problem for wealthy men. But it's easier said than done, I know.

Who the fuck cares about "bluebloods"? This is 2020 - with youtuber millionaires, bitcoin millionaires, and tech millionaires. And "Madmen"? WTF? Are you living in 2020 or 1950?

I have never heard of a job that utilizes business majors to do math or statistics analysis. They would typically want a math or stats major (or even more likely a MS Stats graduate).

I think she has a point. The only useful thing that business majors teach is accounting. Everything else including marketing, management, information systems (at such a basic level) is not suited as an academic subject and picked up very quickly and easily on-the-job. That said, it's still terrible advice given that most jobs specifically ask for certain majors.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
