16 had a really toxic relationship with my mom (beating and verbal abuse). my dad was just not sitting well after the divorce and needed to deal with his own feelings. moved in with my gf dad actually. they let me stay there for a little while until I got my first place at 18.

it doesn't fit the narrative and that current narrative is that men have power, wealth, and society to back them up. they find the opposition of a male based organization that's saying "we have problems as well", to be antagonizing. its the whole "feminism is for men too". in reality it is but only if you agree with the tropes of toxic masculinity and anything cascading from it. also, its easier to radicalize your base than it is to possibly lose some of your following for the sake of bipartisan…
