How? How can I unlearn this behavior when this has been my personality for over 30 years? I am agreeable to the point that I put the needs of other people before my own to not cause any problems, I’m introverted, shy, and a people pleaser, plus I have zero confidence and self esteem. I’m basically screwed at the dating market.

Die Grünen are a left-wing party in Germany, known for their aggressive climate politics and feminism agenda. In their latest election program they talk about the importance of diversity, tolerance, and the refutation of discrimination and that it’s time for a feminist government(!). They are pro gender and minority quotas, they ban everything that’s remotely fun, want you to abstain from meat and live as a vegetarian. Their voters are mostly young women, so it’s clear they are trying to fit the…

Same reason why I won’t be working in academia anymore. But this shit is everywhere. Will even get worse when the Grünen win the Bundestagswahl in September. Seriously considering moving somewhere else then.

This was published in an anthology titled “Tradition und Herrschaft”. I don’t know if it has been translated into English, the quote is from an article called (loosely translated) “Feminism and heroic tradition”.

"Feminism is based on the premise that the woman as such has no value, but can only be valid if she becomes a man as far as possible and makes use of the same prerogatives of the man." Julius Evola

I'd say that dropping your kid off at daycare and picking it up 9 hours later so you can have it for the remaining hours of the day before you doze off on your couch is detrimental for you and for your kid. And my stance is that both parties might be happier if there wasn't such a pressure on women to join the workforce and work the same hours as men do. A lot of women at my workplace work part time because otherwise they couldn't handle the stress between working and looking after their child. …

Sorry for reposting but this sentence comes to my mind immediately when I read about this topic: "Feminism is based on the premise that the woman as such has no value, that she can only be valid if she becomes a man to the greatest extent possible and claims the same prerogatives of a man." J.E. (Loosely translated.) Just imagine a woman saying she'd rather be a housewife, cook for her husband, and take care of her kids during daytime than putting on her business outift and work 40h/week; societ…

"Feminism is based on the premise that the woman as such has no value, that she can only be valid if she becomes a man to the greatest extent possible and claims the same prerogatives of a man." J.E. (Loosely translated.) This was written in 1933 and it applies to our modern times more than ever.

You know what's even funnier? When all the women in high paying professions still want to "marry up" and won't settle for guys below her social status. With more men dropping out of these professions and women earning more than the average man, I'd say you better start investing in cat food and wine companies, because there will be a lot of miserable single women asking "where have all the good men gone?"

Totally get where you come from. I have friends that don't know shit about TRP, but have no problems getting a girlfriend, some of them having a LTR for 5+ years and still going. They meet through mutual friends, at parties, choir, work etc. and have so much experience under their belt, jumping vom LTR to LTR. Of course there are downsides and more often than not they break up with their partner, but sooner or later they find a new girlfriend, without TRP knowledge.

I have a 50k student loan debt and currently work 10 hours a day without payment for overtime, can't afford a house or a car. How can I get away from my cheap life?

One of the reasons identity politics is so effective. People want gratification based on what they are, not on what they have to do. That's why a lot of people like to construct new identities and make sure they don't play games where they can not win.

Yeah, I've already gotten better at those kind of situations and feel more comfortable, but I still need to relax more and let go of any expectations I set for myself. As with everything I think repetition is important, but for that I have to force myself to go out and leave my comfort zone which is still difficult for me.

I just don't feel really comfortable around people, or I should say, I only feel comfortable around the right people. I can't go out and make new friends and talk to strangers like I've known them for years, and social situations wear me out pretty quickly, as I need a rest after a few hours and recharge a little. (If you want to know more about this, here is a pretty good description of it.) And that shows when dealing with women, since I'm always uncomfortable in new social settings. Alcohol h…

I already tried a lot of things like climbing, martial arts, surfing, plus I'm in a band where meeting girls should be the easiest thing in the world, but since I'm not a very outgoing person and quite introverted I find it hard to connect with the people around me. I think this is a topic too broad to discuss here.

First and foremost, I don't have an active social circle where meeting girls is guaranteed. I tried Tinder and got a few matches, but as soon as I suggested that we meet, I was ghosted, every single time. I'm not a club or bar person, so that certainly minimizes my chances of meeting new people.

You think she wouldn't cut the video so it appears he hit her without her doing anything wrong? He did the only right thing and walked away from the scene.

If you haven't already, check out "Better Never to Have Been" by David Benatar. He pretty much covers exactly this question (and some more) in his book.

Interesting though how Disney princesses changed over the years. Look at the Disney movies during the 30s, 40s and 50s and you see your typical "housewive", falling for the charming prince who comes and rescues her out of her misery, see Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty etc., in a time where women couldn't work and had to stay at home. During the 90s you have the more rebellious women with Mulan and Pocahontas, going their own way and trying to emancipate, up to movies like Zoomania, wher…

The political scientist Bassam Tibi, an immigrant from Syria, talks about this problem in the media and he is one of the few who do this, because everyone else is scared shitless to be regarded as a racist. He says, the expectations from the refugees are so great, that they are let down when they come to Germany and see they don't get a nice apartment, a car or a good job, so they try to take revenge on the men by assaulting their women - to humiliate them, which is an instrument of warfare in t…

Exactly, even if she does consent, she can make up her mind the next day and decide she actually said no to your advances and you have no way to prove the sex was consensual.

It's ridiculously easy to date german women, since nobody wants to date them, except thirsty weirdos. Really? My impression is german women are pretty stuck-up and definitely not easy to date.

I suffered from social anxiety myself and I still do up to some point. I was really, really lucky with my (male) therapist, because each week we had new goals he would set for me. I told him I was scared of talking to women and feeling boring in conversations, so he invited one girl per week to come to our session and all I had to do was smalltalk with her - that's it. At the end they had to fill out a questionnaire and write down how fun the conversation was, if I was boring, exciting etc. The …

Thanks, great advice here, especially the last part about the self-monitoring (is this the right word?). I have this problem and usually get distracted when I talk to other people and focus too much on myself, so I can't really follow the conversation. I found it helpful to try remaining eye-contact and don't, like you said, "pull inward" and observe myself.

Seriously, I don't think that tips on flirting and seducing women will help you with your anxiety. I tried to overcome it with several approaches and it only got worse, because I couldn't maintain a normal conversation with someone I don't know.

I've already studied for more than two years and I think it's a bit too late becoming friends with my colleagues.. I'm already known as "the shy guy who doesn't talk", I used to talk to a few students but we lost contact after a few weeks. I do have some roommates, but I don't like being around them, I thought about moving out within the next weeks, so that's not really an option too.

But how do I start a conversation? I think it's a bit weird to just talk to a stranger you meet at the library. I hate smalltalk and always fear people might judge me and don't want to talk to me..

Thanks for your story, but my question is: How do you actually meet new people? In my hometown I have a few very good friends and everytime I'm home, I have a really great time, go out nearly every day and have fun. But when I go back the place where I study, I spend my days sitting home alone, even at the weekend, because I don't know any of my fellow students and don't really have friends there. So what is a good place to meet new people?
