I mean it's an institution of sorts, still doesn't mean it was the fairest way to organize, but again, good 'ole land and profit.

(Marie Curie went through hell to get the recognition she deserved, and the scientific community just assumed she was an anomaly, and maintained that women were incompetent in the sciences at that time period.) I was simply giving examples of how difficult it's been in the past for women to get any work recognized, never mentioned there weren't any women that did work, or offered things. There have been plenty of successful women, and plenty of downright oppressed men. I simply wanted to put a b…

Class struggle is in the essence of human history. I'd say Patriarchy is more a sociological construct that came with developing permanent settlements, and owning land, where being able to be sure of who your heir was was important for such socioeconomic systems. This attitude passed on for a while. Even in recent socialist states, (which had a dialectic viewpoint in problem solving) tackling the matter of gender issues was part of the agenda. So it's not like gender inequality is not there or c…

Let's not forget there indeed existed patriarchy in the past in many places in the world, even today. I knoe feminists like throwing that word around till it's lost its meaning. Women couldn't educate themselves, weren't accepted in the academic community if they were, couldn't have a say in their sexiality, I mean, c'mon.....

But being able to have control over a sexual siuation is essential! Maybe in a more sober state you'd decide to avoid having sex with her, for whatever health of psychological cue you may have gotten. Not to mention condoms are an important responsibility. The biggest most expensive parasite you can catch is a kid or two. I dunno man, we have respect for all sorts of situations, sex should have the greatest.

well it depends on which scope you are using the word in. good old wiki says: " In Marxist philosophy, the term bourgeoisie denotes the social class who owns the means of production and whose societal concerns are the value of property and the preservation of capital, in order to ensure the perdurance of their economic supremacy in society."

well I'd say it depends on whether or not they own the means of production. it doesnt matter if you own a macbook. edit: I was making a snarky joke, but it seems like s lot of you need to read into some things a bit. some of these comments are head-scratchingly odd.
