Boils down to the players in question were under investigation earlier and were cleared by all law enforcement and everything went back to normal. Now they've been suspended now after they were cleared and not given any reason why just that they are under investigation. And I guarantee that if one of these people looking to lower the standard were stuck in a high rise fire and could call the fire station with the better scores or the new fire station with the lower scores 100% would call the higher scores. Activism is great until it's your life on the line then you want the best help available not the adequate help.

They are set so high because you never know what may happen in a given day. For firefighters they may have a couple fire calls and some accident calls as well on the same day. The days may be extremely hot which increases the difficulty. You don't want people trained to handle a single fire in the best conditions because that will put the public at risk. I suppose you could change the test to a 24 hour test and add the above type of situations but I think it would be actually harder then.

All the time in all media outlets... It shows that women are the main consumer group, if they weren't the ads would be focused on men. It's horrible treatment and I always point out these bullshit ads/commercials, tv shows and movies. They must work though or they wouldn't still be making them.

I'm sorry the OP had such a hard childhood it could have been so much different with better family laws. Some people will marginalize her story but try to imagine this happening if the parents genders were different. The state denies a fit mother custody solely on the word of the husband who is abusive to the kids and a drug addict. It's so ludicrous an idea that it seems impossible. Custody needs to start at 50/50 and then can be debated from there.
