This is really just a reflection of the failures of liberal feminism, in much the same way as the failures if liberalism. It doesn’t bother to analyze the underlying values that lead to that kind of sexism and inadvertently end up reinforcing the patriarchal values they claimed to be against

It’s worse because men are not only statistically more likely to be assaulted or murdered than women, but it’s even more disproportionate to men who are victims of violence on the streets

The worst part is the fact that otherwise progressive people will use this argument, yet this argument seems akin to a white nationalist blaming black people for the statistically higher per capita black on black violence
