I've forgotten more than I remember about western philosophy, but I thought I'd caution against SolarStarLord97's characterization of Kierkegaard and the others as nihilists. I'm fairly certain that Sartre, Kierkegaard, and Nietzshe, having looked at the negative side of life, found life to still be something to rejoice in. Put another way, I think this quote has been taken out of context. I'm too lazy to look back into it, but I think these three are better characterized as existentialists, w…

I absolutely respect the women in my life, but I don't just let anyone in and I'm not really into just fucking unless it has an explicit metaphysical/tantric/dakini context. It could be said that some of the hate we see in the sub is a consequence of poor decision making. That is, these guys could choose more wisely. That said, I've been with more than one crazy female and have probably been very lucky to have escaped unharmed. I still respect the crazies. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a …

Um, pretty sure this is all wrong. The word "thug" comes from the Sanskrit "stagathi" or something very close to that and meant "an outcast". In contemporary Hindi/Urdu and other subcontinental languages the usual term is now "dacoit". The root survives in English as "thug". Diva, I don't remember nearly as well, but I'm certain it also predates Buddhism.

Your post lacks coherency. You're right in that it could be self-righteous to tell people to better themselves. But that is different from saying that a person who does better themselves will be happier. A fulfilled life, by definition, is one that is constantly asking/answering the question, "How can I better myself." The specific "demands" are chosen by the MGTOW, not enforced upon him by society. Someone who has given up on their dreams and claims they are happy either lacked a clear vision o…

I would advise extreme caution with regards all relationships you had as an alcoholic. They will surely drag you back into the scene. No friends is better than old friends right now. I got my fresh start by enlisting. It's not all sunny days from here on out, but if you stick with it long enough you'll eventually realize that you made the right choice by staying sober. I'll be passing the 25 year mark soon, and I still get regular reminders of what my life could've been. Many of my old partying …

It's pretty obvious that a woman not covering her hair in a place that generally expects her to cover her hair is going to be okay with openly rebelling in some sense(s). That, however, doesn't say anything about what the women covering their hair are doing behind closed doors. I know for a fact that in Saudi Arabia there are full on niqab wearing females taking it up the ass with randoms. When it comes to sex, people are people.

$2K/mo goes a long ways in many countries, including the US depending on your wants. Rumor has it that Phnom Penh is one of the best values going in SE Asia these days. It's been a long time since I was there last, but I'm still not sure it's a place I would want to live (great place to visit though). I would expect to be able to rent a decent, small studio for around $250/mo. Currency rate fluctuations and differing rates of inflation can wreak havoc on a plan like this. I've been living the li…

I think what the author is saying is that at some point "a social network of like-minded people" becomes a limitation in itself. Average people lean on social networks. Great people, self-actualized, don't need them.

Most of my closest friends have children. I've seen how it has changed their lives. I've listened to them complain for hours and hours about it, only to dig deep to have the energy to say, "But, I love them." My life is damn good, and they see that. I had to have a similar conversation awhile back. I dove into the statistics regarding marriage, divorce rates, alimony, and child support. I drew attention to the consequences if he happened to be one of the 50% that ended up in a divorce. I brought up the immediate costs and the long term costs (in terms of a much diminished principal and compounding interest vis a vis the numbers outside of a divorce). I won't speak for others, but part of why I accept the lambasting of women in general is because I pretty much need the daily reminder that it's not worth it. My biology has a way of interfering with rational thought.

I understand what you're saying and agree to an extent, but what "pool" would we be in if the bulk of our posts were about all of the awesome shit we're doing, things we're acquiring, increases in social status, etc.? My guess is that there'd be plenty of critics for that behavior as well. I assume women to be capable of everything you've shared. I also assume that they will change over time, as will I. I can't commit in a day and age where the government will arbitrate to my severe disadvantage if things go wrong. The stakes are too high.

Warren Buffett is hoarding cash because he can't find deals, even preferred deals, in today's markets. I see the "who hurt you?" question as toxic feminism. It does imply that we're weak. At best it's a misguided attempt to feel empathy. At worst, and in most cases, it's a shame tactic. It assumes that I experience "X" in the same way as they do. It ignores that I don't experience "X" as they do. It ignores that in the rare event I am actually experiencing emotional pain/suffering, that I don't immediately move on, which is what I do. In the context of MGTOW it generally assumes that 1) there is …

Mainstream, common shaming is all about manipulation. Most MGTOW couldn't care less what others are doing with their lives, so no need to coerce different behavior. So, although some terms used around here might hurt some people and cause them to experience feelings of shame, the INTENT to shame isn't there.

"in the open" is an expression that means there aren't any secrets. I've been in at least one relationship where both me and my partner understood that we were going to enjoy our monogamous time together until X day. It's more or less an unstated agreement that although we had something great, it was best for us both to move on (we were avoiding a long term relationship).

I've been on the death bed a couple of times. I was content to check out if it were to happen. I have to admit that it might have been much more difficult if I had been surrounded by loved ones. Fortunately, they were thousands of miles away. I've seen others who live terrified of death. The way I see it death can and should be your closest ally. It provides one of the strongest catalysts for living a full life, insofar as one remembers its inevitability.

I spent some time reflecting on my past relationships. I can think of one girl with which the sex was out of this world. I vetted her well and could trust that there wouldn't be any legal trouble (#metoo). When I look back on it I'm not sure it'd be the same now. I'd just be too cautious with regards to STDs and accidental babies (she wouldn't have purposefully gotten pregnant, I don't think). I was fortunate none of that stuff happened. Okay, so you want us to support the idea that the SMV of men peaks later than that of women while leaving out money/status, two of the most important variables that women are looking for in a man (they must have a job and a car, right?). You want to compare the lives of NFL players and presumably their health trajectory to that of all females. That's maybe not such a bad comparison. NFL players are not living healthy lifestyles, so of course they're going to be wrecked at 35. Kind of like your a…

It's kind of important to reinforce the idea that MGTOW is not a movement. Movements, as the term is being thrown around, are organized in some sense. MGTOW are independent, but share some views. As an unorganized group of individuals there isn't anything for anyone to attack/deride/debunk/label. Your humanity is potential and not intrinsically faulty. Your human brain facilitates the transcendence of the here and now; it enables abstract thought, which is how you are able to see the world in terms that many cannot comprehend. Politicians and activists love to put people in little boxes. It makes it much easier to game the system. Box 1 believes in x and y, but if we can shape their opinion to also support z then we'll have "this much" more political capital. Box 2 believes in a and b..... The truth is out. Women aren't worth the financial, legal, and health risks. When you add to that their early Wall collision, obesity, unwillingness to support a breadwinner or be the breadwinner, and general toxicity these days and it is clear that a man is much better off without them. Most women, however, want a man. Their stock is tanking, big time.

Back in the day, women weren't obese. They'd find a good man and cling to/cater to him for safety/security. Nowadays, these Jabba the Huts are safe and secure via the state. The only thing they need a man for is status. Social conditioning has slowed men's realization and acceptance of this change.

I just thought you might want more ammo, in case you hadn't thought about it. Most of these so-called SJWs will also think of themselves as some kind of hero because of their rescue pet(s). And most people (American anyway), think nothing of dropping hundreds or thousands of dollars on their animals, but won't lift a finger/drop a dime on people in need. It's an absolute disgrace.

I think the study (and I think there was one) fails to account for the fact that almost all married men have to keep telling themselves that they are happy, they're to invested not to. Once freed of the relationship they can be more honest with themselves.

Like most decisions made in life the root is fear. With regards to marriage it is probably fear of being alone, fear of being without an heir, fear of not being seen as a real man, and fear of the unknown. Almost nobody these days lives a life not somehow driven by fear. It takes true courage and relentless vigilance to do otherwise.

Sorry to break it to you, but that's not the way it goes. Muslim men shop around for an acceptable wife. Negotiations ensue. The man provides a house and complete support. At any time the woman can divorce him. They are both frequently unhappy with each other, but stay with it due to family/society pressure. Often, the man takes a second wife and repeats the earlier trials. Sometimes things get better since he is able to split his time between wives. Usually they end up just slaving away at work…

In your original post you were saying something to the effect that all muslims are alpha. I was disagreeing with that assessment. Now you're talking about Islam. I think you're right. Steak and egg diet, or meat and eggs if on a tight budget. You'll be satiated and won't have insulin fucking with your hunger signals. I wouldn't do it long term, but you'll be fine for up to a few months I suppose. I've done meat and cheese with success. Both are just variations of the Keto Diet.
/r/MGTOW24/07/18 05:43 PM

Funny. I don't see Muslims in the same light and evidently neither did Muhammed. The dominant men in history fought and often died in battle against the early expansion. The losers submitted and were assimilated into the Umma. Their self-doubt was evidently so apparent that Muhammed felt compelled to instruct them to bare their right arms during hajj to show their strength.

Middle Eastern men, especially the young ones, are also the thirstiest on the planet. They'll eagerly hook up with 50+ year old obese hags that would be invisible anywhere else in the world. The Keto Diet is probably your friend. Reestablish insulin sensitivity and good things will follow. Also, sprints (HIIT, Tabata, etc.), on a stationary bicycle since you mention weight issues. I'd suggest "train high/sleep low" with regards to carbs. For example, follow a Keto Diet for a few months before you start working in the sprints and then have your carbs before the sprint workout only. The opposite of insulin sensitivity, insulin resistance, is probably about 99% responsible for the obes…

What women need to understand about casual sex for straight men: 1) We have to ask ourselves, "Can I actually get a hard on with this fatty?" 2) Is this random fatty going to #metoo me or something like that after a consensual act(s)? 3) Is it worth the risk? And even then, the sex is often substandard. In her words, "overall, it seems to me this type of stuff happens less to straight women."

I don't know how you could finish reading that shit. It's interesting that you compare alcoholics and drug addicts to obesity. The biggest problem I see with fat acceptance is that unlike alcohol and drugs where the negative side effects are plain to see and have been widely covered, the side effects of obesity aren't being disseminated in mainstream media. Obesity impacts the entire individual, the way their body responds to food, their hormones, their mental health, their psyche, their ability…

I'm pushing 50 years old right now and sometimes, I have to admit, I find myself wondering what life would be like had I gone the marriage route. There's nothing wrong with yoga pants, unless the woman wearing them is over 120lbs (or, if short, 105lbs). Some burkha wearing females eagerly don bikinis in the right environments. I think a lot of stuff is posted just for laughs and is misconstrued as hate. For example, I just watched a video of some morbidly obese woman jogging along side her car and fall during her attempt to wedge herself back in. That shit was hilarious. I may have upvoted it. Doesn't mean I hate women. Stating the obvious, that she was morbidly obese, isn't hate, it's fact. I was referring to society seemingly neglecting human nature when it comes to men. Historically, whether or not a man passed on his genes he at least experienced unbridled freedom. He moved as he pleased, spoke what was on his mind, fought when he had to, hunted, etc. Nowadays, it is all but impossible to live free of chains. Men are finding themselves increasingly cornered, trapped, neutered, what have you, and as with all animals, is bound to lash out.

You've heard the saying that it takes a village to raise children, or something to that effect? I think it was much, much better back in the day. Now, the entirety of parenthood rests on the parents' shoulders and it is relentless. Cultures that live in multigenerational family units would do well to never let that tradition go. Parents need breaks and just don't get enough of them without outsourcing to unknown people/services. It's not good. I'm like you. ONS, one night stands, do nothing for …

I think it's fairly obvious that their untrustworthiness is culturally determined. If I imagine a Paleolithic society, it just doesn't seem likely that betrayal of one's family/tribe and/or its members would have been an evolutionary asset. Women are therefore fully capable of very high highs, but they aren't presently held to any reasonable standard.

I don't drink alcohol, or do drugs for that matter. I've noticed that my views don't fit nicely in a MGTOW category all the time, if MGTOW is taken to mean something more than no marriage/no cohabitation. I don't fully buy in to some of the assumptions/beliefs that I read here. I see it as more of a place to have conversations regarding the current state of gender politics from a male perspective. That (safe) space isn't available elsewhere.

I agree with everything you say. I would add that in modern society it is increasingly difficult to be gentlemanly towards women without them feeling that you're making some sort of advance. I treat everybody the same, gangbanger, gorgeous female, perceived high social status individuals, and the only ones who have ever shown any contempt are women and most of them, like 99% of them, I would not even consider the possibility of fucking let alone partnering up with.

You might actually be on to something here, except your food recommendations are misleading. A diet higher in saturated and mono fats (and lower in polys) will support natural hormone levels and if carbs/sugars are minimized (to keep insulin at bay--allowing HGH to enter the fray) at the same time that would support higher HGH levels.

The world needs enlightened people. Intelligent people have brought us to where we are today, where natural resources can be individually owned/abused/ where members of the tribe at large are easily discarded for no reason, where we are divided along countless fronts to the advantage of a fractional percentage. Enlightenment happens in spite of intelligent people, and intelligent parents is in no way associated with the break. See Krishnamurti, for an example.

I agree with them being emotional, but I don't think there's any comparison between a baby trap and mirroring a person in order to gain favor/leverage (or get laid in this case). The former is an 18 year totally life altering sentence. The later is more akin to a woman saying she's only slept with a few guys, but has in reality slept with 100+. Even this, imo, stretches things a bit far. Being honest, as you mentioned, is best and saves a lot of trouble.

In my experience, there is something to the notion that women in the "east" are more submissive. I've met a number of beauties who ostensibly wanted traditional gender roles, i.e. housewife and breadwinner. Their claimed hobbies, HOBBIES, were cooking and taking care of the house, and they wanted babies. It would be a mistake to assume that they were submissive though. They could/would walk all over a man. Two somewhat serious girlfriends of mine would try, and were fairly successful, until I'd …

Historically, population decline presages the death of empires, so yeah, it's fairly safe to assume that the economy would suffer. However, technology as we know it today probably changes the picture considerably. The question on whether or not "the bullshit" gets corrected depends entirely upon whether or not enough men opt out of the traditional arrangements. So, in my mind at least, it boils down to a question of just how rational are men in general. Marriage is a bad deal for men, when looke…

I'm not trying to start an argument, I mean, I agree with almost everything you said in the original post. But, I do think there's a general misunderstanding in terms of the STEM-Humanities divide. The bit of STEM I've been exposed to had the lab requirements and that is more or less where we had to kind of prove our understanding of the topics being studied at that moment or up until that moment. With all due respect, obviously you didn't pursue humanities beyond a course or two. It can be quite entertaining when self-taught political science experts start talking politics, for example. Or when self-taught anthropologists weigh in on conversations they cannot even begin to contextualize. You see, the difference here is awareness of limitations. I'm not going to sit here …

But, the sad truth is that men today are playing roulette if they think they've found the so-called unicorn. Marrying/cohabitating is a fool's game. I think the problem is generally that the silent majority in Islam let the fanatics define what Islam is. I've known quite a few rather strict Muslims that adhered to a Sufi-like interpretation (emphasizing Allah's benevolence rather than reducing the religion to a fear mongering checklist) and that would still be considered a heretic by many, many other Muslims, many who shamelessly skip fajr on the regular.

Separation of mosque and state, so to speak, obfuscates the truth here. I don't think that it is the law, per se, that one must marry, but it is the law none the less. The King, as protector of the holy land, upholds sharia, in the context of "Islam", the one true path (as distinguished from absolutely everything else, and as interpreted by those the King empowers and supports). This question deserves context. Marriage is mandatory in Islam. Marrying "two, three, or four" is all but mandatory (do so, but not if you are unable to treat them equally--sunna). Fathering children, basically mandatory. The man is obligated by Allah to provide for his families. He serves them, and thus God. In the perspective of the Umma (Muslim community), he who isn't married (and is of age) is in some sense not a Muslim, that is, they haven't fully submitted to the Will, regardless of their…
