If you've heard of a short story called "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift, I have a feeling this is supposed to be something like that. Juvenalian Satire used to mock and ridicule the mindset in a starkly grim manner. I haven't read it though so I can't be sure, this just is my best case scenario guess.

I apologize, I didn't read the whole thing, mainly bc I kinda knew all I needed to from the first few paragraphs. It sounds like you just have alot of baggage and self esteem struggles due to your past trauma, judging by your constant reference to yourself as a beta male and talking down about yourself, so if you can afford it, maybe start getting some therapy now, let that be your first step to GYOW, and the answers to everything else will become clear once you're more happy and confident with …

Yeah I got banned for arguing the notion that a man wearing makeup for enhancement or stage performance purposes (i.e kpop members) did not take away from their masculinity. I swear for people who fight for the idea of masculinity, they have such a low opinion of it if they think its fragile enough to be broken by cosmetics.

Also I've noticed men only spaces in general always get alot of flack no matter what. Female spaces? Cool! Empowering! Uplifting! Male spaces? Sexist! Misogynistic! Discriminatory! Double standard much?

20 years is a bit excessive i think. Id say maybe around 8 months or so of jail time, as well as a fine of $750 or so, and yes, denial of child support from the man

when i get anxiety... i deal with it like a man and get over it.. You expose your ignorance for what it is from this very first sentence. Anxiety is a mental illness and disorder, its not something people "get over", it requires professional help and medical intervention to recover from. Not to mention its very typical of people such as yourself to bring masculinity into it, "deal with it like a man" so its more mature and manly then to repress emotions and problems, which in turn cause even mor…

Everyone values self preservation what are you talking about? Our bodies and brains, especially brains are quite literally hardwired to put our own safety and security above all else in dire situations. Thats why fasting makes it harder to lose weight. That's why danger leads to fight or flight instinct. That's why most long term trauma induced mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, CPTSD, etc exist. They're coping and defense mechanisms that keep our bodies and brains from shutting down fro…

I actually had never heard that before, and if its true then I suppose it would make sense that men would fare worse in a society revolving around structure and routine like ours than women. My only point was OP claims that this setup of our society is the root of men's problems, however this is not a male-centric problem as women have to live and operate under the same structure. That's all I was saying.

I mean for the most part women have to follow the same rules, obey the same laws, etc. I think that's just part of living in a society not part of being a man.

Tbh hearing this young boy talk about such mature political based topics makes me feel a bit unsettled. Its kinda like when little girls talk about feminism. Like the fact that they know this at this age is concerning.

What's funnier is that they claim the group is open to gay and bisexual men as much as straight men. Which is great and everything but at the same time, like dont be shocked if you catch billy giving zach some head in the upstairs bathroom. But still sounds like an enlightening experience. And I'm pretty sure theres more groups than what I'm seeing and a male only group sounds like a fun experience :)

As a man whos never actually been in a relationship, therefore can't really understand that dynamics of one, I just have to ask why you thought you were trapped and had to stay with her? Its just a mindset I'm too naive to fathom, since to me a relationship such as this is nothing more than a verbal agreement of coexistence between 2 people.

This isn't me trying to discourage you from writing, just a heads up for when you do. You probably already know this, but the way our society currently works, it really doesnt matter if it doesnt sound mysoginistic, if it doesnt bash woman, or any of that. The fact that its marketed towards men, or discusses a male centralized community in a positive light is grounds enough for feminists and sjws in general to label it hateful and bad, And that's not even counting the people who will hate on it …

Yeah i feel like sex being the only thing you care about isn't just a mgtow problem, its a problem in general. Sex is great but its not something that your whole life should revolve around. I agree, go find other hobbies, other things in life that make you happy and pursue those. Eventually you'll find that sex really doesn't mean as much as media leads us to believe, which is where I'm sure your current viewpoint spawned from

I hear this viewpoint very often that MGTOW is just Feminism for men and shit like that, but its really incorrect for a number of reasons. The main one, and least inflammatory one, being is that feminism is for fighting for the rights of women. MGTOW isnt fighting for anything. We're not activitists per se either. Those of us who follow MGTOW don't really care about rights except for our right to pursue what makes us happy in life without being tied down in a relationship.

Tbh my dream atm is to pursue a career of music or acting. Pretty generic I know, and a 1 in a billion chance of success, but these have always been things I loved to do, and I'd at least like to learn all I can about them if not make a career out of it.

I've discovered that I really enjoy and have a knack for crafting. Not exactly the standard of crafting considered "manly" like building furniture and stuff like that, that's too complicated to me lol. But working with my hands and making something that people find nice and/or useful is quite therapeutic for me.

True. One person even posted on there saying they think women's right to vote should be taken away again cuz apparently "womens voting is destroying society!" It seems like they don't hate women as much as they hate women being seen as equal beings.

I understand where you're coming from and can see the error of my logic, however you still seem to be confused about what I mean. I'm not referring to MGTOW as a whole, I know that's not what MGTOW truly stands for. I'm only referring to the members of the original r/MGTOW who as has been already established by the people who made this subreddit, do not represent what MGTOW truly stands for and are very extreme in their actions and viewpoints.
/r/MGTOW212/01/20 02:54 AM

I mean it just made sense to me that this specific group of mgtow who have so much hatred for women should be much more accepting of men who prefer the company of men instead since they think so highly of men. And I guess I was just shocked that in my experience at least this wasn't true. My surprise had nothing to do with MGTOW as a whole, or straight men in general, it just had to do with these specific mgtow people who have so much contempt for women.

By intimacy I just meant romantic relationships with each other. And this could have just been my experience in a post that attracted the antigays.

At one point they even attacked me for my own sexuality, which is very out of line tbh. Being Bisexual, or even being gay for that matter doesn't make someone less of a man. For a group of people who are so anti women I was quite shocked with the amount of adversity towards queer men.

Someone posted on the subreddit trashing K-pop groups for wearing makeup on stage calling it the results of women's drive to feminize men and all that BS, calling them Simps and shit. Now I didnt care incredibly much about K-pop I'll admit, but what I did care about, and I felt was worth discussing is the stigma behind makeup itself and masculinity, and how just because someone wears makeup to enhance their features and cover imperfections so they'd feel more confident about themselves doesnt ma…

For somebody who seems to love manliness, you don't seem to think very highly of it If you think it's that easily crippled by a cosmetic.

Well, as someone who's obviously redpilled to the point of not giving a shit about others perception of them, or attracting anyone else, I'd say that statement lacks objectivity. Bc the answer would be someone who would be viewed by thousands of people, For instance a model or case in point, a pop star, or someone who in general just wants to look good enough to be attractive to other people.

I figured this out myself, not with a girlfriend but with my mother who tried to start an argument with me and I basically responded the same way with one word, neutral toned answers and it drove her crazy to the point of her half joking half irritated saying she wanted to hit me. Men shave because we are not allowed to be focus too much on appearance. Simple short haircuts, trimmed nails and shaved face. Might be the results of misspelling errors or whatnot, but I'm not sure I understand your logic. Men shave for their appearance so if we weren't allowed to focus on our appearance we wouldn't shave and make sure out hair looks good frequently. Furthermore, I agree that it might differ from cultures but I live in the western world too and here, women (god forbid I mention…

Kpop is fucking great tho. Just saying. Also men who wear makeup do it mainly to cover imperfections to feel more confident about themselves. Nothing demasculating about that, its the same reason men work out and shave their face, just easier and more short term. Especially if they perform on camera/under bright lights. If you've never done stage production you wouldnt understand this concept but pretty much everyone, man or woman who goes behind camera or goes onstage wear makeup to cover imper…

Unlike other men on this subreddit who would label all women as cheaters, leaches, and all around demons, I will say just focus on you for now. I just find this headline extremely condescending and even narcissistic. Like "Oh, men are facing mass poverty? I might not get married as soon!" Way to go, you've taken an issue facing hundreds of men daily and made it all about you. And you're basically saying its okay to judge men based on their income, but if we judge a woman based on their weight for instance, we're assholes.
