But I think the level of prestige for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts is pretty equal between each other. So why would a boy want to be a Girl Scout and vice versa? I think what he’s trying to say is a man is generally the only one who tells men and women what to do, not a woman. Maybe due to the amount of work he already put in, others accept him as the dominant one. It’s pretty much the amount of work and initiative one is willing to put in that creates a dominant figure who is accepted as such by the society.
