Are you doing it all yourself or do you split chores? If it's just you, then once a week is definitely not too much for a bathroom! With four young adults, a good routine would be something like quick 10-minute clean twice a week (wiping down sink/toilet bowl/taps, dusting, tidy) and then a big clean once a week (scrubbing bath, sweeping/mopping floor, cleaning mirrors, cleaning toilet). For me I like to just make a (mental) list of some things to do in the morning after my husband's gone to work, and then just go through them without a break for about an hour or two - daily things like sweeping/mopping the kitchen, washing dishes, but also a couple non-daily tasks like cleaning up a certain room, washing windows, or emptying out bins. Basically just stay on your feet until you've got the jobs done.
