Seriously they don't think black men are men?

MAGA Republicans are hard-core neoliberals by definition bar the tariffs. You can hardly say the current administration is pro feminism

But the textbook example usually given for neoliberalism is literally called Reaganomics as Reagan and Margaret Thatcher were the 1st to really implent it in the 1980s. Neoliberalism is an economic philosophy. There is virtually no relationship between neoliberalism and feminism. Feminism was taking off before neoliberalism became the mainstream way of running economies. Both the right-wing and centrists like Bill Clinton were neoliberals.

Ronald Reagan is probably the most famous neoliberal. Lol I'm sure he was a very progressive feminist 🙄 and right wing Conservative

For example a neoliberal would say that if there is a wage gap between men and women it's because the market has naturally done that and that men are being paid more because they are more valuable and the market is always right E g A modern Liberal would likely say we need the government to intervene and have quotas to make sure that there are as many women and men in high paying positions it's the patriarchy not that men are more productive

Modern liberalism is a political ideology that blends civil liberty with social justice, advocating for government intervention to correct market failures and protect individuals from poverty, discrimination, and lack of opportunity So yes they are generally capitalist with hints of socialism where the government intervenes to make sure everyone can cover the basics of survival. Most of Europe works like this. Don't most American liberals want a European style economy? In contrast, neoliberalism…

"Neoliberals" ? Since when are free marketeers feminists. Neoliberalism is centre right-wing economics! Edit. Neoliberals believe in unrestricted capitalism with no government interference. Liberals not Neoliberals are the ones concerned with social issues

I'm definitely not a feminist but circumcision really isn't a big deal. I had it done as a necessary medical procedure as a teenager and it was fine and I dont miss my foreskin at all. FGM is more akin to my penis being cut off completely.

My point was more the root cause of violence against women is never addressed. Its attributed to very nebulous reductionist things. All the time, it's patriarchy or toxic masculinity, or men just need to stop hating women. It's not going to solve the problem and just unnecessarily demonises men. Male violence appears to be mostly driven by inequality. Feminism offers no solutions for this

Yep feminists don't seem to be interested in investigating and addressing the root cause of violence against women. They should be campaigning to reduce inequality and protect children from violent and dysfunctional homes. Feminists answer to everything is men just need to stop hating women it's completely reductionist to the point of ap.ost not caring about achieving anything

No it doesn't, the paper does advocates a strong biological link between men and violence; however, it's saying violence to the point of criminality isn't inevitable and most men aren't significantly more violent than women. Its the outliers in men that skew the violence stats. Women don't have these outliers when it comes to violence due to biological differences in male development. Edit. It's saying early childhood experiences, especially trauma, are very important in predicting which men wil…

That probably a good reason to take those papers with a very large pinch of salt

Also Feminism im popular culture with concepts such as "man keeping" seem particularly harmful to men and seem like an unfair attack

A few thoughts 1. Many feminists see men's issues as cynical attempts to undermine women's issues Feminism often relies on the circular reasoning that men simultaneously benefit from the patriarchy and suffer immensely from it depending on what angle is being taken. It doesn't feel like a good faith argument to many men. It's hard for modern men in the west to see this as a reality in their day to day lives. Women's subordinate position is attributed to patriarchy, while the definition of patria…

The concept of Emotional labour being a gender issue was straw that broke the camps back for me with modern feminism for me.

Women leaders of nation states have been less common through history. I'm sure the ratio of women leaders engaging in war to the total number of women leaders is identical to men

If anything, it is more rooted in patriarchy

I haven't paid much attention to mens rights or feminists stuff until recently. I am actually socked how the Feminist subs are full of man hating bigotry, and it's the majority of comments. Men's subs have more balanced discussion and bigotry is usually shut down. I honestly thought it would be the other way around. Journal of Nature is probably one of the most prestigious journals in the world

I think you could have framed the question very differently if that's what what you wanted to discuss

Yeah I can see certain kids mainly boys lives being made absolute hell because of any coincidental similarities between them and the protagonist.

The concept of the show was trash overall:however, I agree with you that the show was balanced as much as it could be. Though lots of people came away only seeing the bad things the protagonist boy had done and completely ignored the unfair conditions that led to it. Though I do think they the show runners did try hard to make you feel sorry for the boy. I'm pissed off at how many people could not see the boy as also being a victim not sure if that is netflixs fault

There are lots of self diagnosed women who probably don't even have autism trying to get validation on social media. As the diagnosis rate is so low in women alot of women now think they have it but we're missed. Many of those women probably don't but they like to feel they are in a special club now. In a few years the fad will die out. Autism in men and boys is old news

Lol the mods on a many sub reddits deliberately try to create echo chambers. Anything the mods disagree with even slightly can result in a ban. Playing devil's advocate to stimulate debate is dangerous
/r/MensRights18/06/25 04:22 PM

No I'm saying I have been banned from a left wing sub reddit because I commented on a right wing sub reddit. Apparently, similar things happen here with men's rights and the various feminist sub reddits
/r/MensRights18/06/25 04:17 PM

If you comment here and then comment on certain feminist subs, they have bots that can see your activity here and you will be banned if you comment or post there automatically. Look in the rules for this sub there is a big warning about that. It hasn't happened to me but I have had similar things happened to me in political sub reddits
/r/MensRights18/06/25 03:54 PM

Oh I totally agree. There doesn't seem to he a single moderate view on most feminist forums. But to have any legitimacy, MRMs have to be better than them.

I think admins for subs like these aren't doing enough to limit misogynistic stuff on here. All it's does is undermine the argument for men's rights

Apparently you get autobanned by bots in feminists subs if you post or comment here. So maybe that's an issue with getting responses

I dont think the article is sincere at all. As other have pointed out, it's really about how can we turn "male loneliness" into a woman's issue. "your partner should not be the only emotional support in your life" that is absolutely true but that doesn't mean it's not deliberately trying to undermine issues facing men. That is what people are upset about
/r/MensRights18/06/25 11:00 AM

I think everyone agrees that using your partner to carry all your emotional baggage is bad. But I think the concept of mankeeping is just intentionally divisive. Its regressive and harmful. It's not really a gender specific issue it's personal issue that could occur with either men or women. I have been both my mother's and girlfriends main source of emotional support for as long as I can remember. Edit. How can you not see this as anything other than cynical attempt to reframe the male loneline…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
