Wtf. I even stop myself sometimes from saying woke, because it has been a bit overused. But sometimes it’s hard to find a better word. But to ban it? Come on.

I just googled this trying to find another source. This was the first result: “Among homicides in the United States, intimate partners kill almost 50% of female and 10% of male victims.” If OPs study is correct, that’s an odd way to put it. But it makes perfect sense if you want to obscure the truth. A whole lot more men get murdered, so why not compare intimate partner killings to that? By doing that, men’s number looks really small at 10% compared to 50%.

Yeah, most of the time people whisper when they say some outrageous shit, unless it is about white men. I overheard two young women (one white, one mixed) at a café loudly talking about movies. Their main concern was if the movie was made by or starred “another fucking white man” and how tired they were of white men “dominating and oppressing everything and everyone” and just “wished they’d all go away”. No shame. Caramel latte.

CM is trash, and I have zero sympathy for rapists. But I do wonder how all these guys can lose in court when it is word against word.

On one hand I liked his response, but I also wish that he addressed what ever the fuck she implied by saying that "just because you sit at your desk for 12 hours..." and so on. What the fuck are you implying lady?

I can see that! This was a clothing brand, so the diversity of opinion was definitely lopsided, and they could quite openly express their hate.

It’s not just online unfortunately. I work for myself now, but my old job was overcrowded with man haters, quite openly. No one cared at all.

So roughly 70% of men are garbage? Ok…

I think this is a more important angle tbh. As a white man who has struggled hard to get from a zero to almost mediocre, I can’t tell how many times I’ve been told to my face that I’ve had it easy just because I’m a white man.

I was ready to be pissed, but the title is rage bait. Her boss told her to go to a meeting because a client liked pretty women. That is garbage, and the boss should be reprimanded or fired.

The “men beat each other up on a daily basis so they wouldn’t feel traumatized by rape” is mind boggling on many levels. The leap is amazing, and i for one have never been in a fight in my life.

Multiple Oscar nominations and a win, but I still see your point. I actually think she is a great actor, and I gravitate to her movies, but getting paid in Hollywood is all about draw (and other stuff…) and hers is not big at all.

I feel this, OP. My ex bullied me for my medical condition. I got the feeling she saw me as weak because of it, so she often berated me for it, when it slightly inconvenienced her. Never mind that I felt like shit at the time, and could’ve used her support. It should’ve been a sign for me sooner. But we often try to look past these things in order for things to work. You already have your foot firmly out the door, and it seems justified to me.

This is standard procedure to get ahead now, it’s pretty much automatic. If you don’t succeed, blame men or white people. Preferably white men. Profit right away, or later due to the fear of bigotry you helped instill in people and institutions.

After dating for a while recently, I now understand ghosting and have done it myself. The way some women reacted after being respectfully rejected was shocking. Like I owed them something, like I possibly couldn’t turn them down, what a disappointment I was, straight up insults, etc. I get that men can be the same, but let’s not act like women are angels.

Some generalizing from my pov: Most of the time we drink beer, make harmless fun of each other, sing a shanty, have heated arguments about sports or maybe tax spendings or something along those lines. We rarely kiss and tell, aka talking in detail about a woman we met or her body. I say this because I was the only guy at a pub after work once, and after one or two glasses of bubbly I couldn’t believe what I heard about numbers and dick sizes, performance reviews being thrown around. Made a man b…

My best and my worst have been women. No male boss stood out as outstanding, but two women did. But… the openly sexist (and racist) female bosses I’ve had—Jesus Christ. A tenth of their behavior would not have been accepted if they were men.

Even in a minority at my old job, women held the power. Even when not justified, they put the men in place and made it clear that it is their time now. There was no limit to the erroneous statements they could make regarding men, women, equality, etc. And the men walked on eggshells. One of the reasons I left.

I’m not young anymore, but even 20-30 years ago, they told us boys to respect the girls. Needless to say, the reverse has never happened anywhere ever. Great idea having girls growing up seeing boys on their knees for them, and at the same time not teaching them that boys are deserving of respect too. It is like they want to create entitled women who see men as less than.

This image illustrates most feminism I come across tbh. “Startling rise in suicide for women”, “women most affected by war”, “we have to help women out of homelessness”, “we won’t stop until there are more than 50% (some go even higher) women in leading positions”, “more women in stem” and so on.

Finally someone I agree with. I am pretty damn sensitive to being taken advantage of financially and emotionally, but this is not it. I would want to make this day special for the both of us, and if it’s an even more important day for her I would go the extra mile to make her feel appreciated. It’s one day in your life together. Then next date night, she picks up the bill or whatever.

Slightly off topic, but I find it funny how Latinos with European descent get (according to a certain group) a minority pass. So, an American person with Italian ancestors has white privilege, but an American person with Spanish ancestors (who back in the day might have been doing some shitty things to natives) are protected. I don’t think anyone should get special rights or be put down because of their ethnicity, of course, but some people are dead set on it. What do you call that?

You should know by now that it’s bs that white cops kill black men disproportionately. Multiple studies have shown that black cops kill as many black men. Cops can be shit, and the disproportionate number of black men having to resort to crimes that get them killed isn’t fair, but don’t get it confused.

When I read that for the first time I couldn’t believe my eyes. I always thought it made sense that men would be doing the vast majority of the raping due to a tiny minority of men who would use their physical advantage to their benefit. It just made statistical sense in my head. Some people would of course say it is because men have sick minds. But to see a cdc survey saying women can be just as likely to take advantage of men sexually, it just flips everything on its head. Is this survey to be…

It’s messed up how much traction this phrase has gotten the last few years. Women at work use it all the time when they feel even slightly offended by some guy correcting them or even just being overly helpful. Imagine if in 2019 guys would coin phrases like woman whining, and that it would be accepted in the work place and put into thesauruses. I just find it odd, the whole thing.
