I tend to prefer men who are similar success-wise to myself, I just feel like I relate to them more. My current boyfriend paid for our first few dates (since he asked me out and to come across town to meet up), but now we usually trade off paying for things. I have really amazing sex with him and am overall very attracted to him. I think that the income level certainly affects the dynamic of the relationship. I have certainly had boyfriends who were mad I didn't pay the majority of the time sinc…

It’s not an American thing. The being constantly hit on thing just depends, I live in a major city in the US and it pretty much only happens if I go to bars.

Positive Cares about how I’m feeling. Doesn’t mind emotional labor or hearing about my day. He is very interested in my life and my interests. Has a very interesting life experience and has a lot to talk about. He always has entertaining stories to tell. Amazing sexually and romantically. Not just great technical skills but makes me feel desired and attractive. Family minded. He cares about his parents and respects them. Too many people hate their parents in my opinion. I mean, I think this just depends on your interest in doing such a thing. I think the guys who regard themselves at being bad at hookup culture don't put themselves out there on online dating or going out to bars/clubs/events. The guys I know who actually have casual sex/dating/relationships actually bother to play the numbers game. Same goes for women to an extent, you aren't going to meet anyone if no one knows you exist.

I find the term "gatekeepers of sex" to be so disingenuous because it implies an actual act of malice that isn't there. I like sex a lot, but I'm not going to just fuck a bunch of random dudes who aren't even going to try to be half decent at fucking me. In my experience, the majority of guys only try to sexually satisfy women they actually have an interest in.
