Oh yeah Strength training will do that. But not aerobic exercise. Once I hit my goal I will loft like a mofo but I am still right. Lifting yes. Diet yes. Running or swimming only if I want to not run out of breath. I used to do massive cardio once. It did nothing same fat %. Dieting hard and losing over 5 lbs a month.

But science is converging on the idea that your body heavily regulates you to burn the exact same amount of calories granted you could climb a mountain every day and it will make a difference but the gym time people tend to do on the long run does absolutely nothing. A caloric deficit from dieting will however eat up all the fat in a manageable time frame. That said we are talking about setting your caloric intake to a third or half of what you need daily
