I'm brown and got kicked out of a bar not long after i went in. It was reasonably busy and there were some white folks there as well. Some girl saw me and pointed me out to the staff. They ejected me but not my white friend or the Japanese dude that brought us there. Definitely one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. In that same 2 week trip, two Japanese guys tried picking fights with me. Both times, on the street in daylight while I was having conversation with my friends. Both times,…

Short buzz is always good. Depends on how you're balding. I have a receding hairline and i've learned that a short-cropped faux hawk type look works well where it is now (I've only lost about an inch from my hairline or so so far). The other benefit is that the same haircut turns also turns into a nice caesar type look (Think Gladiator) pretty well

Holy crap, they have one in walking distance of my parents place. Shame I don't have a vehicle to actually get to that part of town from where I live. Arrangements will have to be made

Oh yea, I'll totally agree. They didn't expect a random person to walk up to them and ask to take pictures while they did what they were doing. Most people that don't want photos tend to just shy away or say no outright. These folks were pretty douchey about it in their reaction. We played with that and tried to joke around but they made it seem as if they were more concerned over us trying to profit off their photos than they were about having photos taken of them. At the end of the day, it doe…

There was an episode of jPod where they tried walking around the office with a giant butcher knife and trying to find a way to not make it look creepy. It's a great game to play with friends

I haven't started the saying hi to 50 strangers thing yet. I started reading it this morning on my subway ride in and intend on getting through this first week as quickly as I can. The mental block around it is pretty brutal on its own. Photography is a big hobby of mine and I've spent a lot of the past year doing street photography. Usually candids of people, and things which are great and have a life of their own, but more often than not, It feels like the viewer isn't a part of the picture. I…

Yea, but it got weird. They had imposed a pretty strict 'no touching policy'

They were originally Saudi Arabia and only in Canada to get their degrees. I learned my lesson.

I asked someone out on a date after we had been flirting for a while and i noticed getting along great. When I picked her up, I found out she wasn’t alone. Her brother was along as a ‘chaperone’ to make sure we didn’t do anything ‘inappropriate’. When I asked about it, she said “It’s not appropriate for girls to be out with guys alone”. The moral of the story? Be weary around girls that were born and raised in the middle east. They can be a bit... weird.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
