I'm not a strong Whorf or Chomsky hypothesis supporter, I do agree with them native speakers (however defined) are rarely wrong in their language, only by other arbitrary standards placed by formalized or outside community standards; i.e. "y'all" or the Texan German "der fence posten" For the same reason you don't plan on using pod, I don't either.
