I'd agree if you were speaking solely of never-married women above the age of thirty. Divorcees that I've encountered rarely want any semblance of a relationship and are happy screwing around after their kids go to bed.

It's only odd if you're socially awkward. You:"Hey, wanna grab a burger sometime?" Woman: "Sure" You: Arrive at burger joint, "You don't mind going dutch do you?" Woman: "It's not a problem at all, I was going to pay for my half anyway." It probably comes from my 30-something perspective, but women at my age date as much as I do and completely understand how going out can get expensive. I also don't put on the facade that I have all kinds of money, because that attracts the wrong type of woman.
