White people make up only 60% of the population (according to the United States Census Bureau). This is INCLUDING white Latinos. The number is even lower (56%) when only Non-Hispanic whites are counted. White people make up: ▪︎ 82% of DUI arrests ▪︎ 75% of sex crime arrests (excluding rape) ▪︎ 74% of vehicle theft arrests ▪︎ 72% of drug abuse violations arrests ▪︎ 70% of rape arrests ▪︎ 68% of burglary arrest ▪︎ 67% of all property crime arrests ▪︎ 66% of arrests for offenses against their famil…

Once the child is born, the priority in the eyes of the law is the well-being of the child so it's not the same thing at all. Neither mother nor father can easily "financially abort" so that is a level playing field for both parties.

Is it shocking to you that once kids are involved, more women than men leave the workplace to care for them? Fewer than 10% of men fight for full custody of kids after a divorce, but you think they're volunteering to be the stay at home parent? Nevertheless, that's still 1 in 6 or so women that are the breadwinners, so my point stands that the post I responded to is incorrect, and not by a rare percent or two.

Only about 3% of married people are separated from their spouse, so the majority of them still live with their husbands. What kind of question is this?

About 30% of married women are the breadwinner, so that's an awfully bold statement to make.

Also, men make up 24% of teachers, and around 12% of nurses. Approximately 10% of CEOs are women. So you feel men are disproportionately left out of these professions when they actually have a higher participation rate than "women in the boardroom". You find 24% to be overt discrimination but 10% on the flip side is...?

The original thread focuses on general deaths of men being higher than women. I was actually corrected in that while suicide rates in men are higher, it's a negligible difference. Funny that's the one you want to focus on though. Men almost always get shared custody if they fight for it. Most men don't. In fact, the estimate of men fighting for custody is 4-8%. I would absolutely be in favor of researching the higher suicide rates of men after a divorce. Some interesting statistics there. As I a…

I'm in favor of government resources helping to prevent all suicides. Shame they shut down hotlines. However, I have zero idea how you expect the government to do more to prevent men from driving recklessly, engaging in extreme sports, playing with fireworks, working on electric in their homes when they're not qualified to do so or any other risky behavior men are more likely than women to engage in. I also think this is a super disingenuous argument when you're trying to equate "companies can't…

Funny how whenever something affects women, it's society's problem requiring legislation and costly govt programs to address, but when something affects men, they get told: just solve it yourselves. Discrimination in the workplace. General safety. Reproductive rights. Unrepresentation in leadership. Pay inequality. You know, things that men do to women. How do you expect the government to address men engaging in behavior that is risky or reckless to themselves? It's not a systemic issue. It's on…

I very clearly stated attempt, so what is your point? How is that taboo when it's exactly what I fucking said? It's not necessarily "missing", it's that women tend to use "less messy" methods, which aren't as guaranteed to be successful. This does not mean they are purposely not dying.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/25 12:29 PM

Men are more likely to engage in risky behavior than women. Women are more likely to attempt suicide than men, but are significantly more likely to fail, leading to a much higher suicide rate for men. So, I'm struggling to understand what it is you'd like society to do about it. Do you want women to be more successful at suicide to even out the numbers? Maybe men could dial back on the risky behavior, rather than expect society to think of a way to protect you from yourselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/25 09:49 AM

Because those are the every day things that keep a home running and they heavily fall on women. The lawn, oil changes, etc that men say they do aren't things that are done every single day, or even weekly or monthly depending on where you live.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 09:01 PM

In what other ways do they compensate? Housework? Childcare? Better than previous generations, but still not equal. Grocery shopping? PTA meetings? Scheduling family doctor's appointments? From what the government said this week, they're not even the ones picking the family health insurance plan.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/25 07:37 PM

16% of wives are the primary earners (breadwinners). 29% earn roughly the same as their husbands (egalitarian). So 45% of women earn as much or more than their husbands. https://share.google/ymyu4zi1A8xS0xg5M "All"? Not even close.

moved society from "favoring men" to "overwhelmingly favoring fewer men". And all you red pill dudes want society to put women "in their place" so you can feel more equal to those fewer men, or what? This entire premise is based on the assumption that ALL men are entitled to some level of equity or equality and women are not. Why? Yes, the wage gap is across all jobs. I've said several times that women lose out on finances because they take time off for childrearing. Majority of surgeons are men not which means the Gender that saving most of the lives are men not women. So in spite of the fact that female surgeons' patients have better outcomes, male surgeons are better because... there's more of them? And while women are more productive in an office setting, men are better at office work because... there's more of them?

A biological programming to do what? Continuing a species that lives in a society. Do only old women need support? Why do any old people need support? Because they're part of a society. Both of which are inherent in men as well; they just can't do the actual childbearing.

Hours yes. Physical jobs, for sure. That's not been shown the case in other work. It absolutely can be both. If women are happy working, even making less, and are building communities and relationships, I'd call that thriving. If men are making slightly more money, but overall doing nothing to improve their situation, and opting out... that's on them. You can make the best of a shitty society that wants everyone poor, sick, and exhausted, or you can opt out. Who forces women to have kids or take care of them? A functional society? Human nature? Do men not want children? They don't earn less because they're women, they earn less because they work less, that's how economy works. That's exactly what I said. That doesn't take away from the fact that there's a significant amount of unpaid labor women do to keep a functional society moving and they take a financial hit for it. The unemployment rate is basically the same across gender. Median weekly pay isn't great for either ($1300 for men, $1100 for women). Being half the population means if a large portion of men are unmarried, the same holds true for women given poly isn't legal, yes? By all accounts, we're pretty much in the same boat, with women still having slightly worse outcomes. But you find that levelling the playing field to women being slightly below equal = detrimental to men. Before that happened, it was…

I absolutely do not think one should be halted to focus on the other or we'd simply yo-yo back and forth forever. I think society as a whole needs to stress the importance of education and financial independence for everyone. Unfortunately, we are seeing the opposite; a return to conservatism that does not value education, puts so much pressure on men to be uber successful that they simply opt out altogether, and returns women to caregiver roles which we can see they don't want by the levels at …

Still exists. Women take more time off for things like childbirth/rearing bc, well, they have to, and it has a negative impact on salaries and career growth. Manosphere/RP are a joke because they want everyone, anyone but themselves to solve their issues. Certainly powerful enough to win an election, as it seems to be a pretty large contingent. And there's no doubt a good number of Trump voters want to put women "back in their place".

The guy that has 5 kids by 3 wives, cheated on all of them, and fucked a pornstar is a return to "traditionalism"? If this is the type of masculinity you want to see make a come back, can you see why women would be less than interested in partnering with red-pill men?

You're comparing criminal abuse to some women having too high of standards to date you? Take a stroll through Wal-Mart. You'll see plenty of slack jawed yokels with six teeth in their head and a girlfriend on their arm. It's not a systemic "men's issue". The issue is you being mad because you can't get the very specific type of woman you want. News flash: most women aren't dating Jason Momoa or Idris Elba. The average woman dates average men. Again, look around you. Touch grass.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 08:21 PM

Sometimes it's not? There are plenty of people that have "friends with benefits". There are plenty of men who won't go on 2nd or 3rd dates if a woman doesn't sleep with them right away. About 14% of American men have paid for a prostitute. Sometimes sex is just sex. Other times, it's really something extraordinary and special. It makes no sense to say that just because you've had sex that wasn't all that meaningful, you CAN'T have meaningful sex ever again. That's a bizarre train of thought.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 04:22 AM

I don't agree. Context is everything. I can have dinner with anyone, and it's just a fun evening out. But dinner with my partner is special because I'm with the person I love most and we're adding another memory to our time together. Sex is fun, but it's even better when there's an emotional connection. Sex with the man I love isn't meaningless because I slept with other people before him anymore than any other activity is. That's silly.

Domestic abuse, yes. Generally, the men that are rape victims are as minors, not adults in a dating situation. (29% of guys and 24% of that were as children.) As to victims of violent crime, again, by other men, and not usually in a sex/dating situation by the partner.

"From men’s perspective, although men have placed more importance on the financial prospects of a potential spouse over time, some studies have suggested that they may value women’s high status only up to the point when women’s status exceeds their own status. Thus, men may hesitate to form marital relationships with women who have both more education and higher incomes than they do." From your article. MEN are the ones likely calling that shot, not women.

The mere ability to fuck like a syphilis-ridden koala bear (should I want to) for the sole means of reproduction isn't exactly what gets me through my day to day. As OP just discovered via a couple of very disappointing trysts, sex without intimacy is overrated, for both men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/20 03:10 PM
3

I'm not referring to sex workers in general. Sorry, my post was a little hazy on that. I'm saying women want these same things in general, so the fact that it may be easier for us to get laid, doesn't mean we have it easier. Sex is not necessarily intimacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/20 02:42 PM

Being used as a human fleshlight does not equal intimacy or connection. It doesn't feel nice at all to know that's all someone wanted from you if you thought there was a chance for more, or you thought you had a connection and were pumped and dumped. It's hurtful as fuck, actually.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/20 02:39 PM

Do you think those women don't also crave intimacy and a connection? Men seem to think women have it so much easier, but we are frequently just used for sex when we are looking for something more. Quantity does not equal quality.

Nope. I would never again get into a relationship with a man that hasn't had a very serious, long term relationship before me. There's so much one learns about themselves, about compromise, about what's actually worth fighting about, etc. No interest in a doormat, and no interest in selfish/domineering men. I want to be with someone that understands what it means to be in a healthy partnership where sometimes you give, sometimes you get.

I don't date women, but: 1) No, I would not think less of a partner who had been in an abusive relationship in the past. From the moment we are born, we all have experiences that shape who we are, some of which we overcome, some of which permanently become part of us. If they were now with me, I would assume they've grown and learned from that experience and acknowledge that is part of who made them the person I love today. 2) Report, no.
