I'm sorry, but I feel like I'm missing something here too. Unless there is more to this story, or perhaps the author was privy to some other quotes from this man that the rest of the readers didn't see, how exactly was the leap made from what the man was quoted as saying to defining his response as race based. How can you tell from the quote what exactly he is referring to when he says prejudice? just because he is black?

I think it just comes with being able to recognize the crazy in somebody and just letting them go their own way. You needn't openly fight those people, its a waste of your energy. But we see this same dynamic in place with muslims. Is it fair to tell the worldwide muslim community that they need to stand up and be the loudest detesters of Islamic extremism?
