I’d say to just be polite and respectful to him like you would a co-worker. Certainly don’t avoid him and make things weird. Keep your hostility in check, but you also don’t need to be subservient in any way. No need to become buds. If they get married and he becomes step-dad, then you might work on building a better relationship so that family things like Christmas, graduations, etc. are less anxiety provoking for your son. It’s best if your kid can go into these events feeling relaxed and bein…

Even if he did come back, you shouldn’t take him. Trust is broken. You’ll never trust him again and he’ll never feel for you what he once did. You need to accept that, grieve, and move on. Try to stay friends for the sake of your daughter. My ex is now remarried. We are great friends and coparents and I have a great relationship with her now husband. The family never suffered and life is good and much better for all of us.

She was tickling you and playing with you. She was flirting and letting you know she wanted sex. She wasn’t assaulting you. She wasn’t being violent. Men and women should both be allowed to flirt. As a man you had the power to take control of the situation. I’m sure you could have easily shut the whole thing down in seconds had you wanted. Had you been assaulted, she would have over powered you and forced you to have sex. Let’s be careful not to get too sensitive and conflate assault with flirti…

Just happy I don’t have to pretend I’m in love anymore. Makes it better than many previous Valentines Days. Thanks for the kind wishes to everyone.

I’ve heard this before. What it really means: You’re such a miserable peace of crap. I hope you turn yourself around some day. Don’t give it a second thought. Carry on.

You’ll get through this. You’re a good man. It’s hardest in the beginning. It will slowly get better over the years. You’ll have challenges but you’ll overcome them. You’ll also have a lot of joy. My kids are in college now and we all did good. This hardship will make you strong and you’ll be happy you got this opportunity in life. I’ve got my fingers crossed for ya.

You’re just really stressed about the unknown with the judge and I don’t blame you. Just sit tight and wait. It’s probably going to be OK.

Unfortunately your ex is a terrible person. Karma is a bitch and someday it will come back to bite her in the ass. There’s nothing wrong with wanting your kids to have decent clothes and water bottles. Bad clothes and haircuts can be damaging to a kids self esteem. You don’t want to spoil them, but helping them to fit in is important. You’re being a good dad. You’ll just have to pick up the slack where your ex falls flat. In time she might become less angry and realize she’s being a bad mother. …

A couple of things: The red pillers will tell you it’s all your fault and you need to work on yourself. They read some books and watch some videos and think it solves every problem. It doesn’t. I think every man needs red pill content, but it’s not a silver bullet. Most of these guys have no idea what you’ve been through. Having said that, the greatest moment in my divorce journey was when my ex was chastising my daughter for not eating her broccoli. She was five years old and crying at the dinn…

You need to be strategic and smart here. You’ve got a lot at stake with two little kids. My kids were 3 and 6 when I divorced 16 years ago. Let her do her thing on Sunday. Don’t let her know you know anything. Get used to the idea of divorce, as much as you can. Start to collect evidence of her cheating, like maybe a GPS tracker in her car. Talk to a lawyer. If you get evidence of cheating, possibly use that as a bargaining chip if necessary. If you can tell that she really wants a divorce, she’…

Hey man, you need to be strategic here and make the choice that’s best for you and your kids. I was in a similar situation. I did most of the housework and child care. My kids were 3 and 6 when I got separated. I had my kids half time from the get go and that was hard as hell. I just got the last one off to college this fall. The past 16 years have been tough, but I don’t regret getting divorced and would do it all over again. The point is, I needed the week off every other week for my own sanit…

No kids and no property? Dude, just get out of it. You aren’t doing yourself or her any favors by hanging on. It’ll probably be the hardest thing you’ll ever do, but in a year or less it will be over. Way better than years of misery.

Generally speaking, say 90% of the time a man is a man because he has a penis and a woman a woman because she has a vagina. We only recognize a man as a man because there is an opposite, woman. Like if there was only daylight and never dark, we wouldn’t have day. So men have a penis and testosterone and 1000 other hormones and chemicals and women vaginas and all their chemicals. Men are strong, weak, stoic, sensitive, big, small, etc. You just can’t put them in a box except for the basic biology…

Examples are everywhere all the time but people don’t care. It took 50 years for feminism to take root and it will take another 50 years until things get more fair for men. All you can do is call it out when you see it. I think sites like this are good places for men to get support, but I don’t expect a cultural shift in my lifetime. I’m 59.

I was in a situation like this. In my experience, there’s not a lot you can do right now. I’d say to go to marriage counseling to help with communication and getting through the next few years. I got divorced when my kids were three and six years old and it was OK. If counseling doesn’t help start planning your divorce. Wait until your kid is maybe 3-5 years old. You can’t live the rest of your life like this. Don’t have any more kids no matter how much she begs, threatens, or pushes. It’s reall…

Stick with your kid. My kids were 3 and 6 when I got divorced. I raised them half time and they are young adults now. All the women I dated and relationships are over. Women don’t mean anything. I’m 60. All I have is my kids. They love me and I love them. Women will come and go. Your kids are forever. If you leave you’ll always regret it, especially if you have a son.

Yeah, I’d say going to the gym. I like going on Friday or Saturday night when it’s just a bunch of seriously bad ass guys pumping testosterone. I’m no bad ass myself, but the environment makes me feel like I’m the shit too and makes me work a lot harder.

Fear mongering about porn addiction and danger is basically a right wing religious and feminist strategy for controlling men. Total BS. I actually dug into the scientific literature on this one time but lost those links. Here’s an overview: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/talking-sex-and-relationships/202104/7-major-myths-about-pornography

There's possibly some biological reason for women being more attracted to women, based on some content I've seen. Early in our evolution, it's possible that some men had harems, like say, elk, or cultures like Mormonism. Women were attracted to the man for his genetic fitness and the resources he could provide. However, he couldn't please all of these women sexually, so that pleasure came from other women in their harem. Just a theory.

You're starting to see the world for what it is and that can be a very disheartening realization. One thing you're seeing is that there are hypocrites in this world. They are numerous, they're everywhere, and some are very, very powerful. The best thing you can do is develop your own sense of integrity. It's good that you're starting so young. Always live by your integrity and you'll die with very few regrets.

I would hope you cried after 10 years and a kid. Bawled my eyes out seeing my family break up.

You're a good man for wanting to spend time with your son and working hard to make a better life. I'm sending a prayer your way and hoping the best for you. Follow your intuition and your heart. You're sincere and the universe will point you in the right direction. Just keep reaching out to people until someone helps you. Good luck.

Yeah, I'm quite red pilled, but also realize that there's a lot of nuance in relationships and nothing is black and white. Like any other movement, there will be the fundamentalists who turn it into a cult.

This was a big part of my story. We had so much in common but I wasn't really attracted to her, and she turned out to be a prude in bed. So she didn't ever want sex and I wasn't very attracted to her anyway. It sounds like it's time to cut the cord so you can both move on and be happier. Might as well do it ASAP.

It does sound like your wife is reasonable and trying to work things out fairly. Not all divorces are a dumpster fire. Just get a lawyer to look over the paperwork. You don't have to go full on court battle if your lawyer thinks the settlement is fair and sufficient. Some lawyers like to go to court because that's how they make money, so shop around.

It may not be as bad as you think. My kids were 3 and 6 when I divorced. Sure there were challenges and I had to get used to not seeing them all the time. But you'll develop a relationship with your kids that you could never develop with a wife around. You can raise them your way. They will be happier. And you don't have to bring another woman into your life. In fact I wouldn't recommend it. My house was the house of peace, safety, and happiness. I wasn't going to bring the tension of another re…

You're about the only one out here who isn't a butt hurt, raging, red pill lunatic regurgitating the same stuff they hear over and over again in videos. Most of these guys have fallen off the cliff. The assumptions people are making with absolutely no evidence is disturbing. We don't know that anything he says in counseling will be used against him in court. My marriage counselor told me to take care of myself, take care of my kids, and my wife needed help. This just sounds like a regular old de…

Counseling was actually good for me because it got us on the same page for getting divorced. I don't think it can save a marriage, but it may help you end one in a more civilized way.

I'm divorced, not pro marriage, and I'm pretty red pilled, however I don't rant to my son about how terrible women and marriage are. I look for opportunities to slip in bits of advice, like when friends are getting divorced or something happens in a movie. His girlfriend recently broke up with him and that was a good opportunity to talk about women's psychology. However, also remember that you only know what you do now because you made mistakes. Nobody could have told you not to fall in love. Ev…

Divorce was extremely scary for me. I thought I would go broke. I thought I would be lonely. I thought it would harm the kids. However, none of that happened. Finances were tight, but they improved over time. My kids were happier because they didn't have to grow up in a dysfunctional household and I could raise them as I saw fit. I wound up dating plenty of women and had a number of relationships. Ironically, I now prefer being single and I'm not dating at all. In summary, I reclaimed my self-es…

It sounds like you're in a miserable situation and I suspect you'll be much happier if you divorce. It sure sounds like the best move. A lot of people are giving you grief about "asking" for divorce and saying you should just write it up and serve the papers. However you noted that you can save a lot of money if you can reach an agreement. If you are able to reach an agreement I'd assume your coparenting situation would be much more healthy for your child's well being. My ex-wife and I agreed on…

I think you're feeling this way because you are lonely and want connection. You're probably also a good guy and good guys have feelings for others when they are hurting. However, giving into these feelings is just going to fan the flames of this dumpster fire. You want to put the fire out and move on. Acting on your emotions won't be good for you and it won't be good for your son. It also probably won't be good for your wife. She needs to bite the bullet and move forward so she can start to work…

My wife moved out when my kids were 3 and 6. I was scared as hell, about finances, raising kids, being alone, and just about everything else. It took a few years, but I got stable. I made my kids my primary focus and mission. I also started dating and had a handful of relationships. Many of the patterns I saw in dating were similar to those in my marriage. I took a deep dive into the manosphere and red pill communities. These opened my eyes to female psychology and helped me find my masculinity,…

The first approach would be to try and arrange a time to see your kids. I don't think it's OK for one parent to just take the kids and not allow you to see them. All the advice about being active, finding friends and activities, is all good. However, you'll still get home and miss your kids and life will feel meaningless. That's just how this works. Fortunately time is magic. Given time, lots of time, you'll get better.
