hahaha what on earth, unless you were tossing up being a sex worker I can't imagine what ethical reason he would oppose a normal career for. so glad you saw through that.

Imagine the disrespect she’s put up with that hasn’t been caught on camera. That’s so horrible. Poor woman.

god that's awful. I can't believe the people telling her that she shouldn't go to the police because he "technically didn't commit a crime" like yeah but it's definitely worth giving a statement. Could build an intel picture incase anything bad happens to women in that area or provide evidence in a future case. She did everything right, but i'd sure as shit be heading to the nearest police station to report it when she gets a chance.

I lost my virginity being sexually assaulted at 18 and it really messed up the way I related with men for a few years after that. I let a lot of people access my body and do things that physically disgust me now, and some of it was coping, and some was not knowing better. I go through phases of grief, but at the end of the day I’m working on loving myself and forgiving. The words my therapist said to me were, “it’s okay. You coped the best way you knew how at the time” and it’s true. Life goes o…

yep same here. So many regrets on nights i've had drinks, but i've never regretted a quiet night sober. I've learned the hard way that it's just not worth it.

you forgive yourself. Being a loving, good person who sees the best in people is inherently a good trait. And that's you. Not your fault a piece of shit took advantage of it and manipulated so that you didn't know what was happening. You learn, you get stronger and realise that you did the best you knew at the time.

um I already would do this automatically, no way I'm getting yelled at by any man, ever. I don't do yelling and I don't do getting yelled at. I won't even have a heated discussion with a man if he's standing up because I find it really intimidating and it gives me a trauma response. I need to be sitting down and calm voices.

Ugh reminds me of my pickme days when I wouldn’t want sex if I wasn’t willing to be hurt that day. Like, no, sex shouldn’t hurt just because a man wants to smack you to get himself off. Pain receptors aren’t shut off just because I’m naked. I don’t enjoy being in pain. How the fuck is this so hard for men to understand? Oh wait, it’s not, they just don’t care.

Yeah most people in Australia aren’t as chill with it as a few pretend to be. At least not in my social circle

Oh for sure, I’m trying to get better at loving myself. I’m not usually a sook but those occasions are tough. I was so inspired by all the valentines posts on here with women treating themselves

I hate my birthday. I cry every year. It’s just a reminder of the fact that no one cares enough to put effort into anything for me. And men hate them because they don’t wanna put effort into anything

Ew. He’s just using her as a flesh light. No such thing as good sex without reciprocating pleasure. A good partner who sees you as a human being should be getting off from mutual pleasure, not simply not giving a fuck about you. Shouldn’t be having to ask for someone to give a modicum of a shit about you

“But babe I just let her suck my dick so she’d feel beautiful” Waste of space. I can’t believe anyone would believe that stream of bullshit

Being a hoe ruined my self esteem, put me in dangerous situations, gave me bad expectations to the point being spat on and degraded was normal, and was a result of being raped and emotionally destroyed by men. I ended up with chlamydia twice. I lost everyone’s respect. I thought it was normal and I’m only now healing. People who say this shit have no fucking idea what is behind the facade. It’s not safe, sex casually is not beneficial to women. Fuck right off with this fake sex positivity bullsh…

I've been able to finish from it before, but only with a trusted boyfriend who tried to make the experience enjoyable for me. Would never, ever do it with anyone else. Under those circumstances, and when I initiate so there's no pressure it can be enjoyable.

It happens. But someone who treated you poorly doesn’t reflect on you so much as them. Your needs weren’t met and that would never change with them. Use this opportunity to level up and next time you’re with a man have it be a healthier relationship. Trust me, there’s better things out there than that crappy guy

It’s a “I don’t really want you but no one else can have you” kind of thing. He wants the benefits of commitment without the responsibilities and therefore will always be able to use “we’re not really in a relationship” as an excuse for his actions, whilst also throwing “we were exclusive” at you to belittle you.

“We’re just having fun” is always code for a man having fun at your emotional expense. At least you didn’t waste any more time on him

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
