As a woman, this makes me really sad. I encourage my husband to have hobbies because they make him happy! We met doing a mutual hobby (dancing) and he still goes a couple of times a week (I don't right now as we have a young child and I'd rather not be out until 3am, but don't mind if he wants to), and he has an impressive pokemon card collection that he enjoys building, why would I ask him to stop? Yeah it's difficult my sisters are very sjw triggered types and they won't engage as soon as I disagree with them... I just avoid expressing my views with them most of the time it's not really worth the fighting
