It is relevant because it goes to show that it's a patriarchal idea (the very thing feminism seeks to fight against). Men are saying NOW that it is barbaric. Actually, according to the ncbi (National Center for Biotechnology Information), the determining factor in circumcisions is based on the circumcision status of the father. If the men are circumcised, 80% of the time they'll choose to circumcise their own children, and with the high circumcision rates in America, it would make logical sense …

If we’re thinking about it men did start the customs for both, so I don’t know how circumcision really fits into the category of anti feminism. It’s just, outside of it? Also snipping off foreskin is a surgery people get of their own accord as well (although I’m sure less frequently). I think it’s weird/unnecessary to do to babies and people shouldn’t do it, but it’s hardly comparable with female genital mutilation.

I do agree with you on that point - I guess its something about people being on your same side? Not to justify it at all, but I feel like there are people like that in all different belief systems. Any movement taken too far should be addressed by the people on the movement's side, and I agree there's definitely a lack of that oftentimes. However, I also believe that some people are more passive or less invested advocates? Like, they support it and will maybe post stuff about it, but they aren't…

You were lied to. Feminism isn’t about equality. No matter what the dictionary says if the majority of those who adhere to this cult behave in a discriminatory fashion then it’s a discriminatory cult. I'm more inclined to believe an academically cited dictionary than someone on reddit who refers to feminism as a cult. Feminism isn't a cult, it's a popularly regarded ideology and movement. Also, in the same way you argue feminism is a discriminatory cult, I could just argue anti-feminism is a dis…

Literally this, oh my god. Sure there are extremist feminists, but there are also extremists on the other end of the spectrum. Most feminists are just somewhere on the normal end of the spectrum - I absolutely detest when people use the most extreme people to represent a whole movement. It's so much more nuanced than that. Feminism by definition is just the goal of equality between men AND women, it isn't about women winning over men or anything like that. I wish more people understood that.

Does anti-feminism mean wanting true equality for both genders or for men to be ahead of women, because actual definition of feminism is as follows: “the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities” (Merriam Webster). So by definition being anti-feminist is inherently sexist, and anti-women. If you’re somehow arguing against the literal definition of the word and saying that you aren’t sexist or anti-women, I’d genuinely love to hear whatever explanation you come up with…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
