| 1 | I acknowledge Feminist BS exists.Solar sails are already a theoretical thing, I tried to address it with the sail comment. But no quantum phenomena take place to make it work. It's simple conservation of momentum. A high schooler can already calculate how powerful it would be just based on the momentum of the solar winds themselves. I just hate when people throw the label "quantum mechanics" on to something to make the impossible possible. | /r/MensRights | 13/01/14 04:01 AM |
| 5 | I acknowledge Feminist BS exists.Sorry, to dash your hopes, but conservation of energy says it's impossible. The only feasible way to have propulsion without energy is for something else to push you, like with a sail. the only reason that they can get away with the headline is because it is using "quantum mechanics". Guess what? Quantum mechanics still abides by the law of conservation of energy. I could go into depth about it, but i doubt you really care about all the nuances to why it's bullshit. TL;DR: science says no | /r/MensRights | 12/01/14 09:50 PM |
| 4 | I acknowledge Feminist BS exists. This headline couldn't work due to conservation of energy. The most basic rule of physics was apparently never thought about when writing this. | /r/MensRights | 12/01/14 09:44 PM |
