It seems people are so focused on sexual diversity, they completely forget about intellectual diversity, which is just as, if not more, important.

But that's why I joined the computer science field-- I love Star Trek and geek culture o.O

I'll be honest, I'm okay with gender neutral restrooms because having to seek out the ladies room when I know where the men's room is a pain in the ass. (I know a lot of times they're right near each other, but it's not always the case.) I just want a place to go. Anyway, it'd be nice to not have to wait behind a conga line of girls at the bar just get in there to see half of them giggling about the boys, or other stupid shit.

I am of the XX-chromosome persuasion :-P (yes, I'm a female.)

Men have a biological clock, it’s just different. Their sperm count and quality drastically reduce after a certain age, and their testosterone decreases, as well. Women go through menopause which makes it almost impossible to have kids after, while men still can albeit with increased risks of birth defects. Still good article. Just my two cents. Carry on :)

She’s famous for her body and what she does with it (twerking and posing nude) and she expects people to take her seriously? It’s not like she’s getting paid to expose her intellect...

I’d like to think so _^ I want to give people the benefit of the doubt; it’s just harder nowadays with all the feminazis

It’s the easiest route when we can simply cry on command and blame the guy. We’ve managed to fine tune these skills over millennia. It’s disgraceful. Crying does not a victim make.

Side effects from birth control really aren’t that bad. I’ve been on it for twelve years. I’ve changed it a couple times, with the advice of my primary care physician. I asked for one type, and he said it’s not as good or there are higher risks etc etc etc. It’s important to be upfront about your health history to AVOID these side effects, which include weight gain, irregular periods, among others. Some actually do increase your risk for clotting, but only slightly and if you’re healthy it won’t…

What the hell even is internalized misogyny? I hate myself and all other women? So then I should get a sex change! Become a trans-man! Then they’ll love me and my struggles. Oh wait, then I’d be a man, and a part of the oppressing patriarchy. x.X

How about good ol’ birth control? Contraceptives and such. It’s a two-way street and both are reversible! It seems we’ve forgotten about responsible sex habits and prefer to fight things out in court. Condoms cost wayyy less than all of that. No surgery necessary.

I taught preschool for a while and you could tell the kids from single parent homes were more stressed out and acted out more often. Even when the parent ruled with an iron fist to make up for the lack of support. It would seem like the kid was well-handled, but as soon as the parent left, s/he didn’t respect any teachers’ requests. Obviously, this is a broad generalization, and a loving single parent is better than an abusive two-parent household. What I’m curious about is what type of support …

My college is hosting a women’s talk, and I’m honestly curious to go. I’m a woman. I’m not a feminist. But I’m always eager to learn and participate. I have a few questions about birth control, and such. But I also want to know definitively if it’s just a club for misandry, which is suddenly popular. And either way, I’m curious to know if there’s a men’s talk... are we women so delicate that we need to have talks? What exactly does this talk offer that can’t be googled or found at a counselor’s …

It sucks because when I was a kid I used to watch “Charmed,” and I thought she was the coolest! (Did I admit that out loud?) Anyway, now I realize she’s insane. :-/

Well, there’s rejection, and then there’s false rape accusations. A grown individual should be able to bounce back from a rejection. But you’d have to be soulless to think lightly of the latter.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s video game addiction either. That’s just a fun past time, though admittedly some people do use it as an escape. Also, video games tend to be less threatening and violent than the current social climate. Like you said, it’s a fricken land mine out there with real risks, and it’s not like you get unlimited lives!

Everyone gets a safe space! Except men, apparently. Like they don’t have enough to worry about. (Alimony, custody battles, false rape accusations, the draft, ad nauseum) Now they’re not even worthy of a place to get away from all that shit for one god damn second!

He shouldn’t have had to resign. And that girl should have been expelled. False accusations aside, it was an attempt at academic dishonesty. You’d think the school would at least take that seriously, if it ever cared about its reputation...

I like some of Iliza Schlesinger’s work because she makes fun of other women. Like the bleating sheep noise she affects when impersonating a 20-something-year-old XD (by the way, I’m a 20-something woman)

I’m not a true stay-at-home wife (I attend school full-time), but my husband works full-time and I’m home more than he is. When I’m not in school or studying, I take care of the rest of the house (i.e. cooking, cleaning, etc.). I’m better at it than he is, anyway. So, I’ve often referred to myself as the housewife and him as the breadwinner. I call it what it is. He earns more money and supports us financially. I’m at home more and I take care of it. It’s not an insult to me in the least if some…

I agree that certain services offered for rape and assault victims is great thing. Like therapy, support, medical references, etc. But this message is tailgating on the popular MeToo movement that’s created a “believe everyone” culture, which has now exploded into hundreds of false accusations. To me, it seems like fuel to the fire. I wouldn’t be surprised if men just became terrified of women. With campaigns like these insisting we believe everyone, they have plenty to be terrified of.

I’m also a victim of sexual assault, but I wouldn’t call myself a “survivor.” This poster just made me mad because it’s over-dramatizing these acts by comparing them to near-death experiences. I’m not saying that rape and assault are trivial. It’s a scarring experience that takes a lot of support and therapy to overcome. And I’m not saying all victims survive, when that’s not the case. I’m saying I would call combat veterans survivors and those who beat cancer survivors. And I’m also not happy a…

Also, you’ve made an interesting point: I have a little brother (I say little but he’s almost 16 now >.<) and he was raised mostly by girls (me, my mom, and my sister). Our dad was deployed a LOT so doing outdoorsy (I suppose, “masculine”) things was sort of limited. The result: he’s a total mama’s boy. I call him an indoor boy. I think it’s funny because I grew up playing outside all the time and on my own a lot so I was/am a sort of “tomboy.” But he likes video games, theatre, and mostly indoo…

I’m a woman currently studying computer and electrical engineering, and I live a mile away from Microsoft’s main campus. Maybe I’ll apply there; maybe I won’t. But I honestly hope I won’t be hired just because I’m a woman. What pride could I take in any accomplishment thereafter? I want to stand out because of my abilities and work ethnic, not my accidental genetic makeup. I didn’t earn that. It was a genetic luck of the draw, so to speak.

I’m a woman and I hated the idea of female ghostbusters. Female versions of classics are just a horrible gimmick. That “What Men Want” movie is a re-hash of Mel Gibson in “What Women Want.” And the new “Overboard” that no one asked for. You can’t top Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Hollywood needs to stop over-feminizing old ideas and come up with something new. Role reversal is not new; it’s lazy.

I’m instantly reminded of how the theme song to Star Trek: TOS changed from “... where no man has gone before” to “... where no ONE has gone before” in Star Trek: TNG. And that was in the 80s!

It’s funny they accuse those with opposing opinions as Hitler, when their very platform focuses on censorship (see Canada’s C-16 bill). What authoritarian states or dictatorships did NOT oppress free speech and expression?

I feel like this topic was addressed in the movie “On the Basis of Sex,” about Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her fight to prove that men can also be caregivers. And that movie was hugely popular with feminists because, “hey a woman did a thing.” But maybe this poster missed the point...

I’m a woman and I believe it’s made up. My first degree is in PR— a field heavily manned (ha.) by women. Not a well paying field. I’m back in school now studying computer and electrical engineering. Not in itself a high paying field, but it will give me the knowledge to pursue my interests and in a field that has more opportunities. (Most people are their own publicists on social media these days, anyway.)

While I agree that men and women are inherently different and have evolved to perform certain roles, I don’t agree that men are more logical. True, we women have those hormonal changes that make us ornery from time to time, but men are just as half crazed when it comes to their ideas of impressing girls, wearing those drop-crotch skinny jeans, driving fast in the snow, etc. Oddest things, men. Still, I love the one I married. You do you, dudes.

As a woman, I can’t understand it, either. It seems the current trend is to emasculate all men by forcing them to be as silent and timid and women were in earlier times. Reminds me of that eerie Star Trek: TNG episode where Riker wore a mini dress... Anyway, if the receiving party is unwelcoming the gesture, s/he should have enough common sense to voice his/her opinion and decline politely. I suppose it’s just too much effort to be straightforward and polite, and rather easier to be a jackass an…
