Trump doesn’t know how to play the games needed to get legislation passed. Hilary or for that matter Pence, do know how to pass legislation and would have had a far larger and more detrimental policy impact.

Fair enough, but I doubt her husband is that off the grid. She should still contact an attorney though.

In this case though, depending on her state, despite infidelity, spousal support / alimony may still be owed by her husband. She should (from her perspective at least) contact a lawyer.

The issue is that if he doesn't want to be a father, and she chooses not to have an abortion, adoption, or use a safe haven he's on the line. Even if she has no reasonable chance or desire to ever work; he's paying child support for her decision.

Then put a freaking trustee in to make sure the funds get spent on the child. And make sure the mother is contributing as best she can. If the mother is able to stay home and live off money pilfered from child support there's a problem. Plus, your ignoring the fact that the woman could have chosen to have an abortion and/or the man wanted one.
