Dependent isn't a great word for this conversation because it has many meanings. This could mean emotional, financial, momentary. The problem can likely be explained better, by him. Not really much to go on.

It sounds like her catchphrase. Aand, not everyone is Laura.

That was the eye surgery to make her look like a different race, that has more Western eyes. So the cultural significance that surgery is very extreme. Different than breast augmentation but a good point.

So you don't obey your own will. You need to manage your emotions such that you don't lose control of yourself. Or you need to constantly tell yourself what you want; to lift him up, not beat him down.

Get a blood test but also look into yourself and question whether your lack of energy stems from your mind and spirit. Maybe if you strived for more than a beta you've convinced yourself is the one, you could do what RPW is about, better yourself, and be the cheerleader and homekeeper for a man who, today, you think you will never have.

You're asking people on the internet how to control yourself. They can advise you on your actions but not their execution. Also you aren't telling much about the relationship dynamics or problems that occur. What makes you yell/angry? Is it his actions? Are you the authority on his behavior? Is it you forgetting to be civil, or is it your emotions causing you to lose control of yourself?

I would think that "I haven't found the right person" maintains your worth, is honest, and is a pretty standard response. You don't have to tell everyone that the right person would ask you and no one's asked you, or that 'not attracted' might be more correct than 'not found'.

Is he failing to get his needs met by leaving someone who isn't meeting his needs? Is he being a sucker? What would a man you respect do about it? That's another way to consider it. In the past I've caused my own misery by waiting for someone who wasn't going to come around. Now I don't waste my time.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
