If he's in a relationship with her, is he "buying" prostitutes because she wasn't willing to have sex often enough, because he wants to "try different flavors of women", because he wants someone he thinks is worth more than his would-be wife status-wise because of where he and his male companions would rate her on a scale of 1 or 10, or is he into seriously dangerous, devious, horrible things that no unpaid/uncoerced woman would consent to? Males who buy access to other human bodies scare me. Th…

This guy is so despicable. It's hard to believe he would treat another human being so disgustingly and disrespectfully. Unfortunately, I do think it's some raw insight into average male psychology these days. Here's a tragedy - the majority of women are beautiful/pretty. She is beautiful. The majority of men are not. A five on the female side of the equation is far prettier than a 5 on the male side, in my opinion. My dad - who's got a bit of sexism to him, but not a lot compared to the average;…

Just a lurker. I don't see why attractiveness would be such a big deal for men. Have you seen women??? They are, by and large, gorgeous more often than not. How high are your looks standards?????

Men aren't manipulative?!?!?! WTF is PUA and negging, then?!! I get it though, I grew up with a lot of internalized misogyny and also thought that women were the manipulative ones while men were direct. Maybe it used to be that way. Not anymore!!!!!

Do you have a link to an article on this or anything? I'd like to repost it.

Men need to understand that them cooking is attractive... It's both a kind and utilitarian function they can fulfill. If the relationship's gotta be transactional like that. Otherwise, it's just a good skill and a nice thing to do for someone. And yeah, there's nothing inherently masculine about working on cars. That's a myth.

Red flags! If a dude describes his taste in women like steak, know you likely will be brainwashed into a gender role, compromising who you are for what he wants to see, if you stick around with him for too long! Yikes!

What's scary is the men who are attractive and able to get women and still go to hookers so they can act out degrading fantasies no "free" woman would partake in with impunity. We have a problem. This is one of the only reasons I feel that maybe prostitution should be legalized, so that we can try to keep these women safer.

I swear frequenting prostitutes and infidelity are insanely common with men and it's like a running joke they have against women that they only bring up in the company of the boy's club. I could be wrong, but at 29 years old, this is how bleak my outlook is. I just read the thread. The guy sounds like a real charmer. Talking about how the sex is better because the hookers whose bodies he buys are better looking than the average woman - probably any woman he'd be able to sleep with without paying…

And I hate women referring to themselves as whores as if it's empowering. It's ok to like sex! That doesn't make you filthy... People these days aren't owning their shame about their sexual impulses by engaging in degrading acts, they're perpetuating the association between shame and sex, and calling it a "liberated" mentality.

100% agree. Offer men the opportunity to sell their bodies in the sex trade and their only response is an excuse as to why they can't personally do that, but it's still empowering for women or even a "female privilege" that women are able to sell their bodies to willing customers. But offer to pay to peg them and/or gag them with a dildo for a fee... I wonder how many would perform oral on women for a fee professionally, even. Regardless, if the system weren't stacked against people's ability to…

Yeah, really. Our entire gender is being bombarded with mental abuse constantly.

Right? There's like some barely conscious attitude of no, I like this dog, I'm not gonna call her a bitch. Now female humans, on the other hand...

I know it started as a relatively benign term, but since I've had it so deeply ingrained into my mind as an insult, I refuse to use the term to refer to female dogs this way now... I feel like the negative connotations are apparent in the tone of voice I would use when speaking, "bitch", and I am aware that animals are very aware of things like tone of voice (in addition to their capacity to learn at least some human words), so screw it.

You're brilliant. Thank you. I was seriously trying to figure out how bitch became a slur for women, and the shaming women for promiscuity aspect is something I totally missed. Fuck this word! I love female dogs. I don't even refer to female dogs as bitches because I'm so sensitive to the abusiveness of term.

Me too. I tried bisexuality for a while before realizing no man wanted to have sex in a loving way that was based on mutual respect.

I think his approach is ok. At least he's honest and not misleading women or lying. Comes off as a little sleazy, but what would a male be without his sleaze... Who knows, maybe he'll find a woman who also just wants to have orgasms. I feel like we should encourage them to be honest. And I'd prefer him fishing for intimacy-absent sex this way than with a prostitute, because being used as a sex object (for starters) gives prostitutes PTSD.

I'm curious about whether men are really even capable of respect for other human beings, regardless of gender. I once watched a Jordan Peterson (famous psychologist at U of Toronto, has some cool ideas but is also a sexist) video where he stated that men don't actually "respect" another man unless they think they'd be evenly matched or outdone in a fight. Don't know if it's true or not, I am not male, but if it is, I couldn't think of a better example of toxic "masculinity". That's not respect, …

I would never send nudes. I don't trust a single guy not to spread that shit around.

I may have meant sexism rather than misogyny. My bad.

Internalized misogyny and the stereotypes associated with being womanly. Note that both men and women can be misogynists, hence some women's discomfort with a man expressing too many "womanly" feelings. Also note that I am not judging you for at times thinking that men were "pussies" for expressing too many feelings. I am a woman and have been guilty of this myself in the past and was also left wondering why I felt that way about a man's overt display of emotionality. I had trouble with my mothe…

I think it's meant to make you want a massage and jealous and insecure at the same time. PUA or something.

THANK YOU. That really needed to be said. At first glance, I thought he was referring to raping someone you've divorced.

Pre-owned dick with pussy residue is different, though.

Why does that disgust most men?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
