Some of the reasons I was attracted to her. Just one of those common misconceptions of bi-polar and mental heath (I don't fully know what her chats were with he docs only that they happened). Where you can be ill yet smart, yet do stupid things that you should know better but still do. She really got the trouble/help she needed when she showed up drunk to probation. and 6 months later hid from her officer and responsibilities. So she did so like a year cumulative in jail time, pretty much due to her not complying. I was stabbed by my ex crazy gf 6 times with a 12 in serrated knife. She too got off with a slap to the wrist with mental health court and her "first offense". She got double probation (mental and regular) and went to jail for a bit but she had enough money to bail herself out... She got a slap on the wrist.
