Much of Reddit is an echo chamber. You’re ostracised if you don’t tow the line. I know this from experience!

Which is why I’ve not told anyone since I tried to report it at the time. The shame. I hope one day what she did will be a crime. Imagine what would have happened to me had I drugged and sexually assaulted a woman…

I feel bad for your uncle, and am in a similar situation. I’m 55 and also won’t be retiring any time soon. 17 years ago, after we split up, my ex wife drugged me and shackled me to the bed then stole my sperm and impregnated herself with it. Ffwd to today and I’m still paying her 35% of my income in child support for a kid I’ve never met. I reported what I thought was a crime (sperm theft) to the police and they literally laughed at me. UK guy here, a woman “can’t” rape a man. I reported sperm theft to the police and they literally laughed in my face when I told them I’d been drugged and shackled to a bed. 16 years later I’m paying almost £400 a month to the woman for child maintenance.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
