How luxury leads to downfall Most successful rappers come from very poor backgrounds and write about their upbringing and the ghetto lifestyle (as a result of systemic racism). Many end up giving back to their communities once they realize how much easier it is for people to succeed when they're not raised in the ghetto and resorting to music/drugs/violence to make it out.
