Some good advice here. Disassociate seems a good route. Type of person that can inject harmful drama into your life. But while you are chatting with him, I would suggest the strategy of leading him more than telling him. Let him talk and come to his own conclusions and choose ways to interject so that your ideas are not seen as assaults. But know this is all a game. Your path is not his. You're interest in the situation should not hinder your life in any way.

Just increase the reps. Find ways to remove dead time. Talk to lots of girls with intention. Not always the intention to get the lay, but have it as an option. See how far you can take the interactions. Then do some self examination. Ask questions like 'did I say something that lost attraction?' 'Could I have created an opportunity there?' Do and calibrate. Also enjoy the process.

Coffee is an alright place to start. But have a plan as to where to take it. Don't sit around for too long, you lose any inertia. Look for live music. Comedy shows. Some activity. And have a plan to pull.

Look into Chinese medicine. They deal with this sort of thing. Remove heat inducing foods like, coffee, ginger, alcohol, greasy foods... go get a comprehensive list online somewhere. Add cooling foods. Cucumber, watermelon etc.
