America should return all South Africans back to Africa where they belong. Bye, bye Dave Matthews. Thanks for the jams.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 05:45 PM

It will all get worked out. The real problem is that previous admin have required DEI statements with grants and people had to get really creative to explain WTF their research had to do with DEI. Who is wrong there? Personally I always found the DEI statements to be performative bullshit unrelated to the science. And you would not get funded because your DEI statement wasn't strong enough. So I'm not shedding tears over this loss of admin beurocracy. Just delete that shit and resubmit. Done.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 03:31 PM

It's just a delay for review and they've already set up processes to get them going again. You're like a week behind.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 03:22 PM

What you're talking about isn't DOE yet but public universities used to be funded primarily by the States. Then the DOE happened and for a variety of reasons related to what the DOE actually does, the costs of education have skyrocketed faster than inflation for decades. The idea behind abolishing DOE is to put the States back in charge of their own public universities.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 02:24 PM

Funding for those non-DEI and non-gender ideology projects is not at risk.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 02:07 PM

Not really. Research programs do, but again the ones that matter aren't involved in DEI research. Do you covet US DEI and gender ideology research or something? India can go ahead and take the lead in gender ideology research. How about we ship you these affected grad students to get you going.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 02:06 PM

The US will be perfectly fine without postdocs and PhD students wasting time and resources on DEI projects.

AI to the rescue. "Hey Google, what's this bitch yapping about?" I was visiting a friend in LA a while ago and Google Messages accurately summarized (in English) this whole farsi convo that was exploding his phone. If Google can handle a bunch of Iranians talking, it can handle one woman.

I thought IUDs had very minimal side effects since the doses are lower since physically close to the target (unlike pills which have to get from your intestines to the target)

It's a "collective" where you can fire anyone below you on the list. Haven't seen SpaceWiskey, LeneGenova, dakru, alreadyredschool or ppd_FrameEnfocer in eons. Admit it: you're PPD queen bee and all the other mods are your bitches.

You're a pretty highly ranked mod. Probably the highest ranked active mod. You could restore the post and kick the mod who removed it from the mod list. 🤷‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 04:00 PM

I don't know why you have this burning desire to have to disagree with people who agree with you but fine. I COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH YOU AND YOU ARE WRONG I NEVER AGREED WITH ANYTHING YOU SAID.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 03:56 PM

There are a lot of senses, particularly higher-level integrated senses such as social status, etc. For whatever reason, everyone on this subreddit seems to have decided women are limited to basic vision only.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 03:52 PM

Yeah, awkward and aspie isn't an exciting vibe.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 03:49 PM

Yeah it was boring and not exciting.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 03:45 PM

Non-raw attraction is a more cerebral sort of thing. "Oh you're checking all the boxes and align with my life goals, having sex with you will make progress". Essentially the nervous system is laid out with the low/high level sensory processing on the back half and low/high level motor/action/goals/long term planning on the front half. Raw attraction is "attractive!" as determined by the sensory half.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 03:44 PM

He's too boring and not exciting enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 03:38 PM

Literally linked to it
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 03:19 PM

It's also because the idea is to give donated organs to those with greatest need and most likely to have a successful transplant and improve, rather than those who can bid the most. So it is a bit more about justice and equity. There are problems with this also (sometimes the sickest don't have the best prognosis), but that's the general idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 02:16 PM

You do realize the hyperloop was a high speed transport involving vacuum tubes to be faster than bullet trains? Now it's just Teslas driving slowly in tiny tunnels.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 01:55 PM

Holy fucking shit Starlink is $120 per month for 24-220 Mbps? You call that "high speed internet"? I have 2Gbps with no caps for $50 per month.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 01:45 PM

Meanwhile the FCC revoked just under a billion dollars in funding they gave Musk because Starlink failed to provide the promised high speed internet. Pure snake oil salesman.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 01:38 PM

He could have apologized and said he was bursting with emotion or something and didn't realize it looked like that or whatever. You know something authentic and endearing. But instead he just says what he did with his own arms is a "dirty trick" and follows it up with Nazi jokes.

Never used it, don't need it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 01:04 PM

Yeah of course they're happy to call themselves "antisemites". Call them what they are: jew haters.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/25 04:28 AM

Palestinians are also semites. Historically, German jew haters concocted the word "antisemitism" because talking about "jew hate" sounded too negative in polite company and also tagging an "-ism" on the end makes the jew hate sound scientific.

It's just an extension of all the overall erosion of trust in institutions and other over arching themes that were supposed to guide people's lives. Religion is on death's door. The whole idea of having a "family" in the traditional sense has been under fire for quite some time. Nobody trusts employers anymore. Nobody trusts public institutions anymore. And more generally the value of relationships is losing support. It seems like everything everywhere is a scam. People are ready for the world t…

It's the same reason you have to have "woman" in your flair even though you chose the "blue pill woman" flair class. You need to have "blue" explicitly in your flair for automod to be non-neurodivergent. There are some emojis that work but there's nothing documented about anything. Best bet is look through previous Q4BP threads and see what works.

Annexing Mexico on the way to Panama is another interesting solution to the "illegal immigrants" question. Surprise! You're citizens now and the Panama canal is the wall.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 03:15 AM

Oh. Random dumb cops is just par for the course. I generally get videos of cops doing dumb things while trying to interfere with federal agents and ending up shocked Pikachu. I also get a bunch of sovereign citizen encounters with cops but I think sovereign citizens are hilarious. Anyway I haven't seen "female cops worse" videos. I'll be on the lookout.

There's nothing soft about the way China operates.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 12:47 AM

Panama is ultimately about global weather changes (unclear whether it's a short term or long term problem) that have depleted the water reservoirs that are necessary to operate the canal. The result is that the flow of traffic through the canal had to be severely restricted driving up shipping costs and contributing to delays. Additionally China has been weaseling their influence into Panama to get preferential access.

The international stage exists in a state of anarchy and existential dread. If UK decided to reclaim Canada and the US then what's stopping them? The answer is the size of UKs military vs the US and Canada's military and how much damage they are willing to risk. International relations are fundamentally about military power and fear of destruction. Even within alliances, allies jockey for power and advantage. There is no "leviathan" on the international stage to keep everyone in line. I assume y…

/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 04:59 PM

Anyone can set the overall tone and expectations of the relationship. There's a certain mythbuilding, idealism, narrative, rituals and cultiness about relationships. At least in my view. The relationship is a larger entity you conjure with your partner. If your partner doesn't align that's fine and it's not a good match. I'm not saying everyone can do things the same way, but I do think like minds recognize each other and flock together.

I've heard so many men proud of breaking their backs for their woman, These guys have always made me cringe. But in my experience they actually don't end up lasting long. Most of the ones I know are divorced and complain about all the things they tried to satisfy the beast. But I'll be honest some of those women are horrible and a lot of those guys are spineless. and I can count on one hand the men who only gave what they were willing, but they were willing to give almost everything to their wom…

That seems to be about people living a separately and significant distance apart (at least one hour) and one moves to live with the other. Which okay, but isn't really the same as a couple that already lives together moving as a unit (which a lot of people thought you were describing)

My personal ideals and life goals for myself align with "safe choice". I'm not "risky choice" material.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 12:53 AM

It seems more to be about a) not knowing about the past, the person in question not being forthright about the history, and also b) not being open to (or wanting) the same, explorative and sultry, experiences with the new guy. It's in particular synonymous with b)--unsatisfied with his sex life as preexisting condition. a) is superfluous.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 08:33 PM

The fundamental premise behind your position is that he already is actively accepting an unsatisfying sex life because he's rationalizing something about her past. Said another way, you fundamentally are arguing that an unsatisfying sex life is acceptable if the woman doesn't have an unacceptable history. Why? That's dumb as hell. It's a house of cards built on a foundation of stupidity. His actual sex life is reality and immediate. He's either satisfied with it or not before he's given knowledg…

Dance is difficult as a dad and is very much run by women. One of my daughters did dance and I was volunteer stage crew. With daughters you do not expect to be allowed in places like changing areas. Most of the moms were former dancers and very protective (they know all about the creeping). I have no idea how it worked with the few boys in the school. Anyway the dance school was very much a matriarchy and the stage crew were the dads. Youth sports are more run by men and very much not like that.…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 08:39 PM

You know I used to feel like that but I don't anymore. I think being a dad increases your don't-give-a-fucktuitness. Like at playgrounds parents will point out guys who are concerning to each other and when you're the token "dad" the other women recruit you as bouncer protection squad. It's mostly a parents vs non-parents thing TBH. Strange women who show up at the playground without kids get watched, also.

(B) Guy texts it to 5 female friends who he may have dated before but just friends now. And I constantly take pictures of things while disassembling them to remember small details about how to put them back together. It's so useful.

/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 08:29 AM

What do expect her reaction will be?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 08:02 AM

What's to reconsider? You either like the chick and want to see her again or you don't. The end.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 07:59 AM

How can you stand watching 4:3 shows stretched to 16:9 aspect ratio?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 07:53 AM

There are actually some pretty simple ways that are easy and very accurate (only require basic spreadsheet skills) that self-calibrate directly to your own physiology but they work best weekly (or monthly). Raw day-to-day measurements will always contain a lot of confusing noise. Anyway sorry you're suffering, you seem pretty cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 07:34 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/24 04:32 PM

God I hate alcohol. It gives me the absolute worst insomnia ever time (in this case one glass of red wine at ~6pm kept me from sleeping until after 4am). I don't know how you guys drink this crap.

Should anyone welcome passive starfish just because she's never been different? Passive starfish should be end-of-story. It doesn't matter what she did previously.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/24 03:20 PM

I dunno there are a lot of aspects to this tale I have difficulty visualizing going down. Like her mom and grandmother are there... and are not nursing her? And are expecting her to cook and do all the x-massing? I'm sorry but women in my family and my in-laws would never behave this way. The whole scene it paints is extremely odd and foreign.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/24 02:48 AM

That's pretty shitty. How do you fill the stockings and not notice one is empty and start improving then.

Instantaneous downvotes can be a thing Reddit does algorithmically to things it believes are bots or to threads that it finds are getting brigaded. It adds random numbers on top of the true vote to cloud what's going on. In general that works better in large subreddits where people get lots of upvotes. Reddit admins have talked about the effects of this on small subreddits and they have explicitly said they don't care because it is necessary on the large subreddits. That's just to say it may not…

/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/24 12:12 AM

Whatever it is you're talking about doesn't sound like something that can be solved at an abstract level. For example, irrevocable change could be good or bad depending on the nature of the change. Some changes are good. Some changes are bad. Irrevocably itself is pretty much morally valueless since it's synonymous with entropy and entropy is nothing more than the passage of time and time is inescapable.

You're making perfect sense. The dissonance comes from you yourself only valuing the sex/lust perspective and not valuing a partner's non-sexual virtues. It's like trying to use a fistful of MXN in Canada. Technically you know the MXN has value, but you need CAD (or USD).

/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 02:27 AM

If people would describe him as weird they would happily throw him under the bus rather than what's going on where everyone who knows him is terrified to have their name associated with him in Google because they only have good things to say. One of the WP reporters is an alumnus of the same high school and is talking to everyone, everyone is "anonymous" and not one of them is saying "he was a weird kid" even behind the mask of anonymity.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/24 02:07 PM

Oh. What did you do?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/24 01:51 PM

Meh. Bluesky was created by Twitter as a prototype next generation stack with improved algorithms to overcome some fundamental limitations that were frustrating Twitter. Ultimately people go where the people they want to chat with are. A lot of people are on both. My field made the jump and it's pretty nice and the conversations are interesting again. Bluesky seems to be far less annoying and more customizable but we'll have to see if that survives scale. If you prefer X that's fine.

Essentially you are advocating for only above average men to use the apps. The predictable result will be that women will exclusively use the apps. What you want is the opposite: below average and mediocre men need to flood apps to drive women out and funnel them into more favorable venues.

What's disgusting about casual sex? It certainly could be disgusting if people want it to be disgusting but it's not some sort of a necessity of casual sex. Any sex can be disgusting. Sex in all sorts of relationships can be disgusting. I'll freely admit that I grew up with mores that sex outside of marriage is bad, but ultimately that sort of morality is arbitrary and there are other moral frameworks.

Literally among my peers it's more about feats like sports success or winning competitions or business success or professional accomplishments (or families and the trappings of that). Sure, landing a hot chick is impressive but that in itself doesn't put anyone at the top of any dog pile. Sex is just a waypoint, it's not the pinnacle of anything. My Kid’s Teacher Has Assigned My Son a Project That Will No Doubt Turn Him Into an Incel Dear Care and Feeding, I’ve just been informed of an assignment my son “Patrick” was given in middle school. He’s to select a topic from a pre-approved list, ask ChatGPT to write an essay about it, submit that essay to the teacher, and then fact-check the essay, looking for things the AI got wrong. I do not want Patrick doing this assignment. ChatGPT is an irreducibly sexist device that reads and then regurg…

I get the feeling you don't understand what "trust, but verify" means. The verification step merely validates that the trust was not misplaced. You can't allow trust to bypass the verification step. A corollary is that if trust can be easily verified, then you just verify don't need to worry about whether the trust is misplaced. It was a different story back in the day when paternity could not be verified. That required all sorts of paranoia and mate guarding. This is because there was no verifi…

OP asked about what guys would do before it was possible to verify. I personally can't see getting hung up about whether or not I was the father to a fetus unless I had reasons to be suspicious. Particularly with "verify" on queue to happen in 9 months, the potential losses are very limited. I've been pretty clear in the past on PPD that IMHO women should embrace and celebrate paternity tests and use them to shame women who have things to hide.

Sure, that's true. But in general I don't think the particular hook that initially attracts a woman's attention is important. I probably agree with OP about that. I don't know why guys can't weed out women who are only after money. You can have perfect looks or money or whatever... feelings either grow or they don't. The point I was originally trying to make was that for a LTR safety/security is what keeps a woman around. It's a prerequisite for desire, but over time it's not enough for eroticis…

From what I can tell it seems that women want two incompatible things: security/safety and novelty/adventure/danger. For both men and women eroticism is associated with novelty/adventure/danger/fun. Money can of course be used for both safety and fun. I just don't think as a whole guys are as concerned about obtaining security/safety from their sexual and romantic partners. So I think the issue is that it's such an alien foreign concept for men to even seek money from a partner.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 12:49 PM

I don't like gay porn but I do find chicks enjoying dicks and getting fucked is pretty hot. Some lesbian stuff is hot but I only seem to like it if it's in a format where I can mentally replace one of the chicks with a dude. I suppose there's all the stuff with women getting fucked by dildos on crankshafts or whatever but unless it's controlled by a dude I'd rather watch guys fuck women than watch women fuck themselves with machines.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 12:30 PM

Self inserting into lesbian porn is extremely easy: they're slaves kept isolated from men who are desperate for dick. They entertain you full of hope that you might be pursuaded to end their misery and dick them down.

She doesn't make that choice alone. It's a choice made by the couple. Marriage is ultimately a form of business partnership and both partners are employees of the marriage with equal shares of the production. The way I view these things is the "equal" allocation of labor would be for both parents to become part time and reduce their paid labor to 50% and split the unpaid labor equally. I disagree it can be interpreted as morality (although I did note other methodological concerns about the study to a different commenter). Morality is a superego function, rape ideation and fantasy is an id function. The hypothetical nature of the survey is probing the id. If you want to know morality or superego you ask whether something is right or wrong directly. I think research into unconscious bias is useful (and that's the sort of study this is modeled after). But the idea of unconscious …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 11:31 PM

So a third of men admit to rape fantasy but only 64 of the 1,000 are actually rapists. I don't know what percentage of women fantasize about marrying a prince or billionaire but I could see applying the following results to conclude that roughly 370 (55%-18%=37%) of the 1,000 women are actual shallow gold diggers: https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2023/04/13/in-a-growing-share-of-u-s-marriages-husbands-and-wives-earn-about-the-same/
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 11:15 PM

That would be a silly question because it's definitely the women.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 11:00 PM

The problem with that statistic is that (1) college guys are indoctrinated that they are rapists during orientation and (2) it's actually a statistic about males wanting extra credit while taking psych which has a long history of guys replying with what the instructor wants to hear (see Stanford prison experiment).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 10:59 PM

You think just under a third of all men are rapists?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 10:48 PM

Q4A: Suppose you have two groups of people segregated into two different rooms. Room 1: 1,000 men Room 2: 1,000 women Marginal demographics on the people in both rooms are equivalent except for sex/gender (i.e. distributions of age, [censored], ethnicity, education, wealth, employment, social class, etc are identical) Questions: How many of the men in Room 1 would you estimate to be rapists? How many of the women in Room 2 would you estimate to be shallow gold diggers?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 10:46 PM

What do you suppose is the prevalence of make/men rapists of women vs female/women shallow gold diggers of men? i.e. How many out of 1000 men do you estimate are rapists? And out of 1000 women, how many do you suppose are shallow gold diggers?

So once again I will reiterate that everyone needs to go understand Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and that it has nothing to do whatsoever with physiology. Maslow's Hierarchy is a theory of motivation. Needs are defined as what organs do to interrupt other things to demand servicing of the organ. Hunger as a need is about how the sensation of hunger comes from your guts and makes it difficult to focus on other "higher" activities. Thirst as a need is about how the sensation of thirst comes from yo…

/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/24 02:12 AM

It seems more that you don't? Objects don't have minds. Objectifying someone means treating them as an object (denying the existence or equality of their mind and their agency).
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 10:18 PM

All it means is that each and every interaction between two people qualifies as "objectification". For example if two people choose to waltz, then each dancer is objectifying the other and who cares. And they are objectifying all of the members of the orchestra. And the players of the orchestra are objectifying each other and the dancers and anyone listening or watching etc ad nauseam. With this definition the term means nothing more than acknowledging that more than one agent are involved which…

People who don't have the opportunity cannot cheat, so the idea is that whether or not they are cheaters is an unobserved quantum state. You cannot know the state of their cheater qubit until actually observed. I think most people don't cheat due to ego, guilt or to avoid consequences.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 04:40 PM

The answer depends on whether you are better at building/innovating/optimizing or running/maintenance. I'm definitely better at the former (I love the complete freedom of doing things the way I see they should be done), but I don't like the financial uncertainty or investors. So... what I have always done is get hired to build other people's business for cold hard cash (have always refused to accept stock/shares) and then hand things off and walk away when it gets boring and the maintenance crew…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 04:09 PM

That makes the term entirely useless. Consent matters or consent does not matter. You can't have both. Pick a side.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 03:57 PM

That seems extremely likely, honestly.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 03:48 PM

How is it even remotely objectification? Do you think women who work at Hooters or Twin Peaks don't know what they are doing? It's pure agency. Objectification would be more like going to McDonalds to oogle fry cooks. Those women aren't there expecting to be seen.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 03:23 PM

Is it more respectful to Avoid hot women entirely (to justify a fear that you are unfaithful and untrustworthy). This seems similar to how alcoholics and drug addicts must avoid even a sip or taste for fear of relapse. In other words I can see a justification for avoidance given a problematic track record. Ultimately that's a defence for weak will-power. Behave cooly and respectfully around hot women and allow them to do their jobs and feed their families doing backbreaking work? It should be se…

Yeah I get the hate (I was a classical violinist through high school and hated the idea of her for a long time). It takes some mellowing out to enjoy and she grew on me slowly. Not Anne-Sophie Mutter skills, but different skills.

Why not? I like a lot of women. I wouldn't really say there is much of a thought process involved with what I find sexuality attractive. Oh yeah. I can agree about that. It would be weird to see a woman older than teens in this sort of style. For women older than that it reads as sleepwear. I do also think buying it loses the magic somewhat. A dress made by the young woman/her relatives has a wholesome sentimentality and family mindedness. Older women who haven't caught a man need to switch tactics. They'll just look sad and weird.

There's a reason why nearly all cultures on earth have tried and still continue to suppress the expression of female sexuality in one form or another. IMHO that reason is a consequence of paternal uncertainty resulting in lack of paternal investment. Which is a very valid concern, but it's completely outdated given family planning and DNA testing. Paternal uncertainty has been completely abolished. We do still have a small problem with unwanted pregnancy but I'm confident men will have more dire…

Another argument is that if you use virginity as a discriminant for rejecting women, there is an error rate associated with rejecting women who are great matches for you. Women can't win in direct competition with men so they pout and scream to create their own leagues of losers. Here you are asserting that it should be obvious that women do not want to be treated as second class citizens when the opposite is the truth. Women go to great lengths to avoid seeing the truth. Women want to be treated as equals knowing full well they are losers.

I said that the potential for injury is greater. On average the harms that must be remedied will be significantly lower. It's pretty unlikely he was physically harmed. Of course she might be pregnant and he might not want a child or she might have given him an STD. "Yes means yes" is the invalidation of "not no means yes" which was the previous legal standard. Enthusiastic consent is about the fact that a "yes" should not be considered valid if it was coerced. Holding a gun to a woman's head and telling her to say she wants to be raped or you'll shoot her shouldn't cut it. Ultimately these things are defenses in criminal proceedings after a victim presses charges so if you don't do things that cause people to drag you into court... who gives a shit? You're…

Agree that was the original intent, but it's become more complex since "yes" can be coerced so it's now moved on to "enthusiastic yes" and I'm sure once some scum and their lawyer figures out how to work around that we'll move on to being lectured/arguing about some even more byzantine, pedantic and autistic thing.

That's the way it works in many states now follows the general approach is the things you brought, you keep as long as you don't do something that makes them become part of the marriage. This is somewhat tricky and why prenups clarify things. For example if you have $10k in an private account before you married and you don't do anything with it to mix it with marital assets it will generally remain separate from the marriage. If you use it for a downpayment then by default you've signaled that y…

Casual sex means sex that's not part of a serious relationship. It includes sex with strangers, but only as a sunset. Even with hookup apps, people typically get to know each other first so they're not complete strangers before they even meet.

The reason single payor would be an improvement is that basically every single insurance company handles everything differently. So you have to pay for staff who basically specialize on how to submit claims to each insurance company. Because if you don't the claim is denied on technicalities and the doctor doesn't get paid and then the patient gets a bill. And then us as users have to deal with the companies, too. Ultimately all costs are tied to medicaid and its broken procedure-based billing m…

I agree. However it's also crazy how the government is responsible for tuition increases by making the loans so easy and safe for lenders and simultaneously allowing college administrations to make bank on free money. State governments defunded colleges, feds responded by making debt money easy, colleges ate the loophole and bloated on the free debt, and students got the shaft.

One of the big theories about dreams is that your mind has an important task of sorting fantasy from reality. Fantasy is extremely important for planning and learning about the world, but generally the brain is extremely good about not baking fantasy into memory as reality. During sleep your whole brain gets into an incoherent mess so when you are suddenly woken that part of your brain that filters fantasy form life narrative comes back online and tries to assemble the mess of senses and percept…

No she's attractive, some women I just can't read well and it's awkward talking to people I can't read. Me saying her eyes are weird just means I don't get a good read from the photos I saw. They're not objectively weird. It's a higher level thing about them. Photos really aren't enough to make that call about readability conclusively. But I have my suspicions in this case because her eyes remind me of someone I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 03:29 AM

I would probably notice her. I have certainly started conversations with women who are uglier than her at house parties lol. Beyond that I mentioned elsewhere that based on the photos I've seen of her, her eyes bother me. I think I have trouble reading her emotions and if I can't read her emotions I can't connect. But that's just photos so who knows (I have not seen any interviews). I'm also too old for her and would not approach anyone her age, so answering about the house party more hypothetic…

I don't think either of these are really fleshed out enough to choose. On the one hand the financial security sounds great. On the other hand, she could be a harpy powermad abusive shrew. The sexual openness of the second is interesting if she's open for threesomes or something. But if it's because she's a loyal ace and hates sex, what's the point. Anyway, of the two I'm leaning towards the first. She seems easier to divorce if she's actually a closeted bitch.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 05:49 PM

I pointed out a massive logical flaw in your recent thread and you just ignored it. Frankly you mostly seem to be looking for confirmation of your own biases and validation. Yeah I get it. And even if you know the things she does like you never know what things she likes today. The whole "talking yourself into it" part is a bit burdensome. It can be pretty discouraging when you read about women who are very vocal and open about giving hints about what they want. Well, I didn't really challenge you on this but what makes you say the gymnastics team has a large frame? They are muscular, but frame is skeletal. They may well be large framed for some reason, but I'm unaware of that reason. To me they just seem muscular. It's certainly reasonable to offer the gymnastics team as examples of low bodyfat and higher BMI due to muscularity. Large frame? Dunno. I'd like some justification for that assertion.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 07:39 PM

Hmmm. As elite athletes they are likely to have quite low bodyfat so I would not have called the gymnastics team fat. Ultimately BMI is an approximation of bodyfat percentage and is known to have issues with body composition. I very much doubt a skin caliper test or body composition analysis (such as DEXA) would find that the US gymnastics team has anywhere close to high bodyfat. This is just a known caveat for interpreting BMI.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/24 07:15 PM

I've tried googling various shows I think it might have been but not having luck finding it. Edit: found it... What you don't get about this is that deep down women want to be miserable and love a clearcut excuse to blame their husbands/babydaddy/whatevermale for something, so women can all get together and henpeck and commiserate. If you give them a card, they'll have to find something else to complain about. So in reality not giving her a card is giving her what she really truly wants. Marriage has a lot of tax loopholes. It's great for creating and protecting wealth and walking it down generations. So of course higher socioeconomic classes are using it. They also expect infidelity and are more marriage as business model oriented. Of course UMC strivers try and emulate the tycoons but they're still confused with lower SES morality about marriage ideals.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/24 06:57 PM

Marriage rates have cratered. People born in the 90s have some something like 60% probably of never being married even once and it's olny trending down. The reality is marriage doesn't particularly offer much of value when you get to the nuts and bolts of it. The best PPD seems to come up with is: oh wow you get automatic medical power of attorney. Frankly far better to just incorporate, setup formal parnerships and trusts to achieve whatever it is your hoping marriage provides. 20 years lmfao. …

Does that apply to OPs scenario though? I think a lot of men have the experience that the effort it would take to improve ourselves to the point that our partner is still as attracted and interested as when we first met is the exact same effort it would take to be able to easily find a better partner. Yes, it's likely to cause a lot of resentment and very probably lifestyle incompatibility. But I don't think she is required to undertake that sort of transformation in order to maintain his existi…

I think you've described that well except for the co-dependency bit because breaking that's a big focus of MRP. But actually if you go to MRP the focus of passive dread game (and why even that gets hate) is because you're not supposed to be doing it for her. You do it as generic self-improvement that appeals to all women. MRP dudes don't start from a good place in their marriages and they're contemplating divorce. The idea with passive dread game is that you're improving your value for all women…

Why is that bad for women? I don't follow how you got there. Women don't want a hotter, improved partner? Have you heard of hypergamy?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/24 08:20 PM
1

There are a lot of things that fall under the umbrella of dread game. Some of it could be emotional abuse, others are just reality. MRP generally splits things into passive dread game and active dread game. Passive dread game is self-improvement and being a guy that many women desire, respect and value and would seek if you were single (sometimes MRP calls it reality game). Active dread game is usually what gets the hate--it's behavior that suggests you will cheat. But it actually appears in mai…

So in general I agree that the same things that make you attractive to new partners make you attractive to your existing partner. It's somewhat obvious if you step back. Sometimes it's mutual, sometimes it's selfish, sometimes it's giving. I'm saying sometimes I just don't really care to get off and it doesn't bother me to have "the goal" for her to be selfish and me to serve her needs.

I used to feel similarly. Feeling obligated is probably too strong of a term. To me "feeling obligated" is more like doing something you dislike out of duty. I don't think all sex has to be perfectly "even" or "fair". But I do think that when you have more opportunities you can afford to be pickier. Personally I think resentment is the actual problem, not duty. Resentment has different hallmarks than taking one for the team occasionally.

I wouldn't have sex if I was in a completely opposed mood, but if my wife is horny and I'm more on the fence or ambivalent it's not a big deal to give her a good time. With kids there are just too many stars that need to align.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 04:03 PM

You don't know the unknowingly part of that. Adoption, sperm donation, etc exist. None of these studies even ask the fathers if they know. At best the kids themselves don't know. It's quite a leap to assume the father does not.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 03:30 PM

My approach is to just generally assume that PMS must be like having your balls firmly squeezed constantly.

What sort of n-count are we looking at for a manic pixie dream girl? The canonical MPDG is Judy in What's Up Doc? and I would be surprised if she wasn't approaching n=100 by the time she meets Steve/Howard.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/24 12:26 PM

Why not pity her? Even if she did <insert something horrific> to deserve it, you can still feel sorry for her the same way you can feel sorry for death row inmates. It certainly doesn't mean they don't deserve their punishment, but you can pity the unfortunate.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/24 06:19 AM

It's just the typical frequency formula: (# of events)/(period of time) So plenty of ways to plug and chug. wrt the rest of your comment are you saying you don't consider a woman who fucks strangers in an alley to be a slut? Most people would certainly consider her to be a slut so maybe you should touch grass.

~3 nHz give or take

There obviously are other ways it could be computed and not all women fuck in alleys. It's just a representative example to elucidate the concept.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/24 05:54 AM

There are a variety ways. For example, suppose a typical situation where a chick ghosts a guy on Tuesday at 3:24:21 pm. Later she goes to a bar and fucks the new bartender in the alley at 8:55:15 pm. It took her 19,854 seconds to get cock so she's a 50.4 µHz slut.

In SI units it would be "partners per second"

Whenever there's an investigation into massive Republican corruption and it gets to the point that federal prosecutors are involved it will typically end with guys facing hard time as the feds tighten the noose and many instead choose the old self-inflicted gunshot wound retirement plan. The best way to hold women accountable is to tax women who are 30 and older, single and have less than two children. It's fine if women don't breed but they should make society whole for their decisions. Once incentives are thus aligned, things will work themselves out to everyone's benefit. I know this is not necessarily women holding themselves accountable but women are voters and legislators now so it's at least partially. Literally no women find anything you wrote sexually arousing. Perhaps you have been steeped in incels too long? Please go take anything you wrote here to r/sex or r/seduction etc and come back with any evidence whatsoever that any women would gush with "carnal desire" for this basic adulting. I tried to explain this but what I mean is in my personal experience of relationships it's more that the rivalry axis does not exist. That's not saying I feel superior or inferior at all. It's just not even a concern. But it could just be me and what I look for in relationships. Perhaps he describes it as "masculine" because he's feeling a sense of hierarchy and that she's his superior? It sounds extremely vague. I don't really know what to respond to. Okay she feels one way or the other and spent 8yrs deciding how she feels. I probably do agree with the bolded text. My different personal opinion is this is more about Schnarch's Crucible theory. Relationships naturally develop toward crisis after 6-8yrs as the mutual fantasy that kindles and powers the early relationship dissolves into reality. There's more to the theory but it's off topic to your question.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/24 10:03 PM

FYI there's actually a theory that women are smaller than men and play off childlike behavior and appearance in order to activate powerful latent paternal instincts in men. The paternal instincts are very necessary for the species to survive so the idea is that women are testing this mechanism in men they seek as mates. In this theory women are essentially trying to gain the benefits of being adopted. It's a strange theory but sometimes it explains strange behavior well.

Q4W: would you rather be stuck in the forest with cocaine bear or an escaped convicted drug dealer?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/24 09:39 PM

Yeah I remember thinking that in college. I had some friends who were in those and it seemed pretty ideal. Looking back there were always women who were opposed to marriage for principled ideological reasons and it was always very persuasive that only repressive antiquated neanderthal shitlords would seek marriage to a woman. But with the hindsight of knowing how those relationships panned out I think it's pretty clear it was always just hamstering by women with commitment and attachment issues …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/24 03:49 PM

How are you meeting the women? Could they be recommending you to each other on a fetish forum or something? "Really open to unloading on you in the bedroom rather than the shower or tub. urine has a nice pungent je ne sais quois and a nice powerful flow. 10/10 strongly recommend."

/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/24 02:42 AM

That is also true. I wasn't really that familiar with her and... I'll be honest she is very unfortunate looking to me and I think she probably has a poor sense of style for her body type. Theoretically she's workable as individual parts but fully assembled she's just not my type at all. There's also something about her eyes that turns me right off and makes me want to stay away and always has. So there's also that. If she were my type and dazzled me I probably would tolerate just about anything.…

/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/24 11:05 PM

It's pretty accurate in my relationship and probably tracks back to reactive desire. The erotica starts the warmup. I was actually advised by the women in sexover30 to set my wife up with erotica. It works extremely well for me. Men seeing porn probably can't resist popping off and ending up refactory.

I agree that men and women have very different experiences with sex. For example I don't think I can just project my experience of arousal and sex onto my wife at all. She's somewhat like an alien to me in that regard. Our sexual response cycles are very different really. Porn often does not do a good job of showing aroused female genitals and I know that in sex ed it was talked about but it was abstract. I guess I'm not sure. At first glance it seems silly because bears are dangerous. But I also don't think a bear will hunt a human. Sure, encountering one is a problem and bears would be opportunistic. But you make noise and wear bells and draw attention to yourself to make sure bears will notice you and stay away (which is what they prefer). Many men probably would follow and pursue women and sneak up in the forest for sure.

Reduced tuition is subsidized by the State. Different State governments have different spending priorities. They have various reasons for this but one big part of it is to increase the education level of the State workforce to compete for business investment. It encourages locals to attend college who are more likely to remain, grow the economy, start families, etc that are all in the State's interest. /r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 09:26 PM

I don't understand what "being a provider no matter what" means? Generally people need to provide for themselves anyway. I don't think you're expected to support homemakers anymore. Women have their own jobs and support themselves. Children alter that calculus somewhat of course because they do need to be provided and cared for. I don't think that is particularly sexed or gendered anymore and men and women distribute the tasks as they wish nowadays.

You show that women he does not want to date have high n-counts. For example hypersexuality and risky sex are associated with a number of mental disorders. It's generational. r\datingover30 sprouted from r\sexover30 which started because the 30-40 year olds ten years ago couldn't stand the new guard in r\sex and then wanted to escape them in r\dating as well. You don't think it's just begging for starting a conversation about spicing things up? I'd guarantee she's on board and more than happy to try things. She won't prod him, but she'll certainly welcome it. The real trick is he needs find and free the wild side in himself.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 03:05 PM

That's entirely within his grasp, though. See MMSLP, etc. He certainly shouldn't get married before he's personally satisfied that things have a good chance of working out, though. People who are not married and already dealing with a deadbedroom shouldn't get married. But deadbedrooms that develop later can certainly be unwound.

When you start from the guy knowing the sex isn't great and diagnose the issue being that he's inhibited and inattentive, wouldn't the "obvious" solution be for him to become less inhibited and more attentive?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 02:49 PM

My main thought is always that Morin's "The Erotic Mind" needs to be mandatory reading. He collected anonymous reports of men's and women's "peak sexual experiences" and analysed them (and came to a conclusion about a pattern). They are very interesting but the most important aspect is that it's not ever really about how hot the other person is. Attraction is very important but it's more of a precondition. What brings things to "best ever" class is a barrier of some sort that allows the attracti…

You are correct and it's been shown in large research studies where they directly measure genital blood flow, lubrication, and other physiological measures of arousal while presenting subjects with visual stimuli and asking them to report how aroused their genitals are. Physiologically women and men both respond equally to visual stimuli (meaning the same control from the brain out to the genitals exists). The difference is men are very aware and correct about the arousal state of their genitals…

Well is it 304 or 04?

It's the jobs that significantly require hiding your own emotions and play act a different personality. The classic example is a waitress who is expected to be happy and bubbly (regardless of what's going on in her life) or customer support. Later on it was perverted to mean literally any mental work.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 03:15 AM

Betteridge's Law says you already answer your own question "No" (since otherwise you would make the affirmative claim and phrasing as a question instead lets you avoid owning a losing argument). But anyway what would you like holding the Manosphere accountable to look like? It's conspicuously absent from your post so obviously that's what you're burying. Edit: downvotes 😱😱😱

Block me, coward
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 10:37 PM

If I had to choose among these I'm leaning towards the second. If you did a similar Q4M that was more pick-two/leave-one-out style I'd pick personality and lifestyle. I don't care about being not very hot/ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 08:50 PM

The Third Reich didn't even bother have a "Caesar". How on Earth was it a dynasty?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 07:50 PM

Do you think that's actually attraction though? I don't. It's not rationalizing attraction, it's explaining reasoning for rejecting men she's found attractive but incompatible with her vision for the future. All anyone has to do is convince her to change her vision. I think that's probably what makes dating apps challenging. They help reenforce rules that can be bent.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 07:43 PM

I agree with that difference. I guess we had different ideas about "obsessing". What happens to me is every now and again some woman will get stuck in my head and cause ideations or occasionally I'll have a preferred porn star or whatever. That's what I would personally call "obsessing" over a hot woman (vs merely noticing a hot woman). I feel like following/subscribing crosses a line but I don't have a word for it and that discussion you mention seems extremely c/rude and disrespectful. Being d…

Alternative: franchise one in your area and get rich bankrupting your peers and have lots of space to keep them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 06:29 PM

You see it's like this: hot women are hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 06:26 PM

tbf it's all the same pipes and urine is probably cleaner and more hygenic than tap water.

Decades ago and can't remember. I know is was more than 10 but don't remember the details. Remember being pretty impressed at how dead my dick became and that I couldn't get it to stand for anything. I had read a story on literotica... it was about a guy and a woman battling over who was whose slave. Basically they'd take turns trying to force each other off and and whoever was finally able to resist was the winner. Naturally I had to determine my limits or if it was even possible to reach a poi…

Back when you guys met each other, Katy Perry's "I kissed a girl" was what was on the radio. It was bad enough when someone pointed out that Eminem is more of an oldie than the Beach Boys were when I was a kid. Now we have this.

She needs Dr. Rick.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 02:44 PM

Yeah, it's a bit disingenuous to say that men are "coming out of the woodwork" when the reality is that the machines find the men for the content. I don't think there are men sitting around searching "sad chick to dunk on" or anything. The machines just serve it up. I don't get this deardiary shit on my feeds but I don't touch anything Meta, so.

I don't care what you do with it?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 10:57 PM

Oh, I see. So not opposed but just not meeting prospects in person for whatever reason. So not like a vow of celibacy and commitment to spinsterhood of cats sort of thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 07:10 PM

That seems concerning if new friends are being repulsed by him. I'd probably start keeping an eye on him and reevaluating whether I want to be around him. Hard to really say without more details.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 07:06 PM

Are these women I am supposed to know or random NPCs to me?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 06:51 PM

Why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 06:43 PM

I understood it as he assumed you were dating/trying to get a man and he explains your lack of bf as being too easy and being pumped-and-dumped. Which I get why you're offended but hey at least he thinks you're attractive enough that he imagines guys should be piling on you. It's not like he's explaining it away as you being ugly or fat or a bad personality or worthless.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 06:33 PM

Sure, you just have to win them over with your personality in the same amount of time it would take to win them over with your appearance.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 05:08 PM

I know why mine get yanked--"𝔐𝔞𝔫" != "Man" to computers. But the fact these others are allowed is ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 04:08 PM

No, it's the Q4M asking whether there are guys who are not interested in casual sex
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 04:02 PM

How come my top-level comment under Q4M gets yanked for not having "Man" in my flair, but users with the following flairs that do not contain "Man" are allowed to top level comment on the same post without them being yanked? 🔥legendary🔥 🔥super🔥 🔥sayian🔥 🔥pill🔥 No Pill Woman Debunking Myths About Male Sexuality Communist I hate flair etc. Explain yourselves, mods.

It could be. I was an armybrat in the cold war overseas and had girlfriends and it's great. Then I finished college in the 90s and a lot of us went to work for companies that were expanding a lot into Asia. A lot of coworkers had fun dating and whatever while overseas, I'm not denying that. But my own experience is that it was pretty creepy because I'm not really the partying type (the CEO of a company that was trying to make a deal with the company I worked for kept trying set me up with this w…

I actually know a lot of guys who married foreign women so this is more reports from the front yard as it were. The guys who marry women who are here as graduate students actually do work out very well, but that's different. The most successful of this is actually my childhood best friend (an extremely attractive tall, lean muscular blond/blue outdoorsy true-american boy scout) who married a knockout supersmart wealthy chick in grad school and she took him home with her (so actually more of a pa…

Do you think passportbros are having fun though? The ones I know seem to be fairly miserable. Probably the cohort with the most predictable divorces in my experience. Is passportbroing your ideal and if not, isn't that settling?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
