Just to let y’all know, my date last night went great! He did not hesitate to grab the bill, ordered a shit ton of food and drinks and actually put effort into good conversation! Didn’t feel sexually pressured by him at all. Ended it with a hug and quick kiss and he texted me after to make sure I got home. Definitely a breath of fresh air from the last loser, but I know I need to continue vetting him and not go back to my old ways!

This is an awesome idea! Especially because I have a bad habit of forgetting red flags in the moment and making up an excuse for it on the spot and then not remembering everything clearly once I get back home...if that makes sense haha. I will definitely use this idea!!

Oohhh nooo! I’m sorry you had to deal with that, but yeah, both are CLEARLY LV. I’m definitely going to work on myself and my self esteem, as another person pointed out on this thread, regardless of how this date goes tonight. You’re 100% right. I’ve definitely struggled with my self esteem, even though I have moments where I know I’m awesome, there are times where my mental health tries to make me think otherwise. Working on my self esteem is definitely my #1 priority right now, regardless of how this date with this new guy goes tonight. I know it will take time to fully believe in myself 24/7, but this sub will definitely be a great help.

We started drifting a little over a week ago. He wanted to play games so I started talking to other guys again. We were never “official”, just “not seeing anyone else”. That should’ve been the biggest red flag after almost three months. But I appreciate your input and totally see where you’re coming from!

I was settling. He paid for the first date we went on which came out to about a whopping $45. All the other dates we went on, he made sure to ask to split the bill or would run to the register to pay for only himself first. If he is serious about you he should be investing in you for at least the first couple of months. At first I struggled with this concept, because I wanted to think of myself as an "independent woman who didn't need favors from a man". Now I've realized a guy isn't worth shit …
