Again, it's not about what is "necessary for survival", neither the post's OP not the counter-argument's OP was about that. You're allowed to complain about something whether or not it's a necessity. And you're still wrong in your own frame of refence as well. I mean, I didn't need a job a survive into my mid-30s. I'm the living proof that it's not "necessary for survival"! Fundamentally, it's about OP's "if you are not willing to adapt to the market, your complaints about [THING] are unreasonable" argument. The entire problem is that it's a silly argument against complaining about anything, be it employment, my aforementioned cheap pencil, or dating. It's not about the importance or necessity, I was just pointing out that even in your framework jobs aren't a must have for everyone. Hell, some don't even need an income, they are taken care of by their families and communities. From what? I'm not sure what you're asking, but there plenty of studies that show this.
