Here's a paper on how feminists conceal and distort evidence that women commit domestic violence as often as men: http://pubpages.unh.edu/~mas2/V74-gender-symmetry-with-gramham-Kevan-Method%208-.pdf

I don't think you understand how metrics, samples, and methodologies influence data. We do. That's how feminists are able to claim that women rarely commit domestic violence, when they are actually half of the perpetrators. It's how feminists are able to claim that men are 99% of rapists and 9% of victims, when in reality, women are a significant percentage of rapists, and men are far more than 9% of victims, if you properly define rape to include being "made to penetrate". Like I said, if you w…

Seems like you had no problem googling reliable sources. And every study we've found shows far less than a 3 to 1 ratio. Can you find the actual study with a 3 to 1 ratio? If not, why should we believe such a study even exists?

This paper mentions how feminists create "evidence" by citation: http://pubpages.unh.edu/~mas2/V74-gender-symmetry-with-gramham-Kevan-Method%208-.pdf The Kernsmith study, the World Health Organization report, and the pattern of selective citation show how ideology can be converted into what can be called "evidence by citation" or what Gelles (1980) calls the "woozle effect." A woozle effect occurs when frequent citation of previous publications that lack evidence mislead us into thinking there i…

Ah, you're up to your usual practice of mocking male victims of sexism. For example, male victims of domestic violence don't need access to shelters, right? That's absurd! That's like building a hospital for healthy people, or creating bus lanes for cars! You disgust me, but I realize you are merely representing the feminist position. You do a great job of demonstrating what feminism is really about, and why as an egalitarian, I must fight against feminism in order to fight for equality.

They've got it backwards. Obamacare requires birth control for women to be covered at 100%, including tubal ligations. This does not apply to birth control for men, and men who want vasectomies have to pay their deductible/copay. It's institutional discrimination against men that was caused by feminist advocacy.

Women are a significant percentage of rapists if you properly define rape. According to the latest CDC (US government) survey, 4.8% of all men have been "made to penetrate" and 79.2% of the perpetrators were women. Examples of "made to penetrate" are: a woman who has sex with a man who is passed-out drunk, or a woman who forces a man to have sex with her through violence or threats of violence. There is some confusion due to the fact that their definition of rape excluded "made to penetrate" and…

Wow, I'm sorry you went through all of that. It is a heartbreaking story, and it's a good example of why the fight against feminism is so important. Due to feminist advocacy, male victims of abusive women are treated as victims, even in cases like yours where the abuse is incredibly serious and all evidence demonstrates she is the abuser. If there is a child/children, this results in the abuser getting custody, another tragedy. The only way we can obtain equality in domestic violence cases, to h…

I oppose feminism because I believe in equality. Feminists oppose equal rights for: 1) Male victims of domestic violence and rape, particularly when the perpetrator is female. 2) Boys with respect to education. 3) Infants with respect to genital cutting. 4) The right to safe spaces. 5) The right to free speech. In particular, the right to state viewpoints on gender that differ from feminist theory. 6) The right to due process regardless of the genders of the accuser and the accused. 7) Paternity…

Feminists say that if a drunk man and a drunk woman agree to have sex, the man raped the woman, because drunk women can't consent. But using that logic, the man couldn't consent either, so she raped him as well. So why isn't the woman a rapist? I haven't seen any feminists answer that question.
/r/MensRights21/08/13 03:51 AM

Good luck, and as others have said, feminists will protest you, but in addition, they will probably falsely accuse you of supporting rape and hating women. That's how feminists operate. But as long as you stay reasonable and demonstrate that you are completely for equality, neutral students might see what feminism is really about and join your side.

The bias against fathers has largely been caused by feminism. Feminists have falsely portrayed child abusers as being almost entirely male, which has led to systemic discrimination against fathers and other men who care for children. The anti-male, feminist propaganda actually puts children in danger, because it prevents people from recognizing abusive women, or believing children who report abuse by women.

It's normal for humans in power to overstep their boundaries. I'd say men and women have the same propensity to do so, so I do not agree with the feminist view that women abuse their power far less often than men. Although I will say, feminists in power seem to abuse it more than others. The woman from gtwy's story was probably a feminist.

It's a personal preference. It's a good idea for men who want to "go their own way", and not a good idea for men who don't. I find it interesting that feminists constantly insult and ridicule men who "go their own way." There's no reason for them to have a problem with men who decide romantic relationships are not for them.

Point out that they: 1) Are virgin shaming, which is equivalent to slut shaming. 2) Are reinforcing gender roles without noticing it, which demonstrates why feminism isn't enough to achieve equality. A men's rights movement is also necessary. 3) Are contributing to the marginalization of asexuals.

"The majority of male rape victims (93.3%) reported only male perpetrators." and this: Then you go on to conclude that 79.2% of rape victims are male being made to penetrate a female. That is the fraction of the remaining 6.7% hence 5.3% of the original set, a far cry from the 79.2% number you used. You're reading this wrong. Their definition of rape, where the 93.3% comes from, does not include being made to penetrate, but defines rape as being penetrated. "Made to penetrate" is a separate cate…

Discrimination against male artists and childcare workers is relatively new and corresponds with the rise of the feminist movement. Feminists say this is "benevolent sexism" caused by "patriarchy", but it's really institutionalized misandry caused by feminism.

That's what feminism is all about. Feminists will stop at nothing to stop egalitarians/MRAs from pointing out the ways men are discriminated against and supporting equality for men. Hopefully, in the long run, the public will see the bigotry of these feminists and will realize that feminism is not about equality. Only then can true equality be achieved.

It's feminist ethics. It's all about pushing the false idea that women are morally superior to men, by covering up bad actions by women. It demonstrates that the MRM is the true movement for equality because it views men and women as equally capable of both good and bad, unlike feminism.

There was an interesting comment about the danger of SRS/AMR-type feminism: I was raised by lesbian separatists and I have a brother. I don't agree with this. Birth control is directly related to the consequences of sex (a potential child). Being an astronaut is not. That's why I'd say lying about being on the pill is rape, but lying about being an astronaut is not.

Do you acknowledge that in certain situations, women are privileged because they are women, and men face institutional discrimination because they are men? Spermjacking is a mythical event where a woman steals sperm from a man for the purpose of exploiting him through child support It doesn't matter what the purpose is. Reproductive coercion, for any reason, is abuse. It's also common, but when it happens to men, feminists mock it and call it "spermjacking". Well I do know how feminists often treat male domestic violence victims, which is probably similar: A) Many feminists who work in shelters mistreat male victims. According to the following survey, male victims of Domestic Violence who seek help from DV hotlines/agencies are often accused of being batterers and/or made fun of: http://www.clarku.edu/faculty/dhines/Douglas%20%20Hines%202011%20helpseeking%20experiences%20of%20male%20victims.pdf Here's a quote from page 8 that summarizes the findings…

The "1 in 71 men have been raped" stat from the CDC survey doesn’t tell the whole story. It defines "rape" as the attacker penetrating the victim, which excludes women who use their vagina to rape a man (rape by envelopment) which is counted as “made to penetrate”. The very same survey says “1 in 21 men (4.8%) reported that they were made to penetrate someone else,” which is far more than 1 in 71.

Have you discussed how the standard definition of rape ignores most male victims because it only counts people who are penetrated, and ignores men who have been "made to penetrate"? Due to that, stats appear to show that the vast majority of rapists are men, but it's not true if you properly define rape.

/r/MensRights09/06/13 05:03 AM

Here's one example. Due to the MRM, many academics have researched female perpetration of domestic violence, rape and child abuse and have found that women are a significant percentage of abusers. That contradicts the original feminist idea that domestic violence and rape are caused by "patriarchy", so women can't be perpetrators and men can't be victims (look up the "duluth model").
/r/MensRights09/06/13 04:49 AM

Absolutely. Obamacare requires birth control to be covered at 100%, but only for women. For example, if a woman wants a tubal ligation, insurance now covers 100% of the cost, but if a man wants a vasectomy, he has to pay his deductible and copay. It's like lying about not having an STD before having sex. If it's not rape, it should at least be considered a form of sexual assault, and it should certainly lead to jail time.

On reddit, I don't care whether someone is male or female, what their ethnicity is, what their sexual orientation is, or anything like that. What I care about is whether they are from SRS. That tells you a lot about a person, since SRS bans anyone who disagrees with their ideology. Insurance companies cover Viagra but not birth control Wrong. Here in the US at least, due to Obamacare, 100% of birth control costs are covered for women, so tubal ligations for example are free. However, vasectomies are not covered at 100%; men have to pay their deductible and copay. So birth control for women is covered at 100% and not for men, which is clear, institutional discrimination against men. Obamacare discriminates against men in other ways as well. It's not fudging data, just properly defining rape. Typically, rape is defined as requiring the perpetrator to penetrate the victim, but this doesn't include rape by envelopment (when the man is forced to penetrate the woman) and that accounts for most of the rape of men. According to the latest CDC (US government) survey, 4.8% of all men have been "made to penetrate" and 79.2% of the perpetrators were women. Nyariko is from SRS. Here's what she says about this subreddit: Men's rights groups (at least the men's rights subreddit, here) are not egalitarian because if you actively engage with their ideas, it becomes apparent that what is important to them is not the fair and equal treatment of everyone, but rather what they really want is a safe space where others will agree with them when they hate women. Yet she complains when people are negative about feminism.

No, because decades of research have shown overwhelming evidence that true instances of criminal sexual assault are not restricted to those that are subjected to criminal investigation, much less result in a guilty verdict. Yes, studies show that sexual assault is common and the majority of those cases aren't reported, but actual sexual assaults are independent of false rape claims, so that doesn't by itself prove that the majority of reported cases are true. However, if a survey asked victims w…

So yes, from what I understand (please correct me if I'm mistaken) they should include those that don't make it to trial, as well as those found not guilty. The way feminists "help" men is to claim men's issues are "patriarchy" and claim that they are fighting "patriarchy". That's it. They don't actually do anything about the issues men face. In fact, they reinforce aspects of "patriarchy" that harm men, like when they falsely claim that women rarely commit rape or domestic violence. Abusive relationships are generally built on an asymmetry in power. I already disagree. This view, combined with the idea that women have less power than men, is what feminists use to downplay abuse by women. The idea that women aren't a threat to men because they have less "privilege" is really just a repackaging of the "patriarchal" view that women aren't a threat to men because women are weak. For example, the US Office on Violence Against Women defines domestic violence as a "pattern of abus…

I'm not sure about this new sentence: "The men's rights movement explicitly rejects a number of feminist concepts including patriarchy theory, institutional discrimination, and gender as a social construct."
