I can see both sides. It must be very annoying for women who want to be part of that subculture to constantly be judged. At the same time, I know that their presence might lead these guys to reasonably believe they're being "tricked".

Mmm, the same thing that happened r/atheism and r/politics; circlejerk comments/posts become more visible, which leads people who don't like them to leave, which leads to a greater portion of the active users being those who posting stuff like that. It creates a positive feedback loop that sends the subreddit into a downward spiral of rants and mockery.
