If you want your moral character to matter in dating, you have to also care about character in others. No it's not lol. It could also point to men being more trusting than women, men having less socio-emotional intelligence (men are often raised that way due to societal gender roles) and simply being worse at judging character. Or men having less options due to women being so picky these days, and feeling the need to settle or be overly optimistic about the person, not as a matter of sexual access but broader romantic access. And various other factors At any rate there's no reason to assume that … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/26 03:28 AM

If you want your moral character to matter in dating, you have to also care about character in others.A lot of women agree with the antiquated traditional gender role ideas that basically say that women are desperate sluts if they initiate anything with men, rather than doing the traditionally feminine thing of being passive and expecting the man to take all the initiative. So it's not surprising that a bunch will see a woman make a move on a guy in any way at all, and assume that it must be "horniness" rather than just showing any initiative at all and communicating openness | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/08/26 03:11 AM

Most of the women who have difficulties dating are just low value as sexual partners. You're simply saying "it's not right for men to prioritize sex" No, I'm saying "the stereotype that men prioritize sex doesn't seem correct to begin with" these men are building up a future relationship they're going to be dissatisfied with. Idk but either way many probably won't have relationships at all considering women's standards, if they already aren't getting selected. Chalking it up to sex here seems wrong because there's plenty of men who are fine without prioritizing sex too, these women who struggle just don't want those men either. Dating is also the most socially acceptable form of being a bigot, and nothing will really change that.A wonderfully myopic take by a man completely unaware of just how many minority men inflict their violent self hatred and white worship on non-white women Maybe this sort of issue exists among men and women, and should be opposed from both sides If that outcome bothers you, the issue isn’t women’s standards. It’s what men are offering. Problem can be both women's and men's standards, with both being too fixated on traditional patriarchal and white supremacist standards | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/26 05:46 PM
Women’s Selective Traditionalism Fuels the Red PillI'd gladly go for those women, but they still usually want the conventionally masculine men in my experience. Seems like there's a lot of "diverges from gender norms proudly in the streets, still wants a conventional patriarchal masculine man in the sheets" norm in relationships these days | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/26 05:34 PM
Women’s Selective Traditionalism Fuels the Red PillAnd fucking around but wanting to marry a virgin? That’s not selective traditionalism? Not wanting to be the sole provider but expecting women to be uneducated? That’s not selective traditionalism? Everyone does it. Plenty of us don't. Women often complain when men do those things but don't want the men who don't do those things | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/26 05:02 PM
Women’s Selective Traditionalism Fuels the Red PillPlenty of us men don't care about a woman femininely presenting at all, yet are still expected to masculinely present ourselves. The double standard can be frustrating | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/26 05:00 PM
Women’s Selective Traditionalism Fuels the Red PillEveryone engages in selective traditionalism, not just women. I have asked every boyfriend if they wanted to be proposed to, and they have said no. They actively wanted to do it. My boyfriend wants to lead and I am happy to see him do that. We know that when it’s time to have kids, he actively does not want to be the primary parent (the parent that takes off work and sacrifices their career and whatnot for benefit of the child). But I do. You've experienced guys like that, but plenty of us do ca… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/26 04:59 PM
It makes more sense for women to chase men than for men to chase women.I always hear the whole provide, protect and lead from men A lot of men feel like they need to do it in order to please women, and that if they don't make that effort, women just won't be into them. It can feel like even the women who talk a lot about how gender roles and traditions are bad when applied to women still expect these traditional roles from men. Are there actually a lot of women out there who would genuinely accept regular men who don't do those things and have more equal, less gend… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/26 04:45 PM
It makes more sense for women to chase men than for men to chase women.I just want equality, and think it would be nice if both men and women were open to approaching. I also think the ideas of "chasing" and "treating people like queens" and all this leader and provider and protected stuff seems way unnecessary, and that it would be nice if people were satisfied with more normal and equal relationships where they both made effort for the same sorts of things and just tried to naturally grow together | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/26 04:42 PM
| -1 | We should try to convince women to appreciate non-financial value in male partners. It's one thing to need a partner who is earning sonething and contributing to paying the bills, and another thing for their earning power to be the most important thing though. In many areas, it's necessary to have a dual income household but people can get by on two mediocre incomes rather than genuinely needing a guy to be an above average earner and such, and for that to be the most important thing a guy can do, with other stuff not mattering | /r/PurplePillDebate | 04/01/26 04:35 PM |
