Wife threatening court over support and marital assetsThis sounds a lot like my divorce, minus the fact I had a non compete when I lost my job. Spent months arguing in court that I should pay more but I couldn’t. And she froze all accounts 3 days after I got served papers. But in this regard, you’re gonna have to pay the piper at some point. Personally, I’d sign the settlement offer with a clause that you agree to the offer, and that trips overseas to visit family last no longer than 14 days. It doesn’t sound like she has the means to pursue this i… | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/12/25 03:53 AM
There has to be more to the story.Fuck her, “It” happens gradually then suddenly. Don’t let her spit in your face. Document as much as you can, that’s revenge part 1. Part 2 is strategize with an attorney to get the most you can out of the divorce, try to stay ahead of her. Part 3 is go become the best version of yourself, and keep the kid out of the middle. My ex got me arrested at Disney world then left me there. By the time I drove across the country home, she had already changed the locks. So I understand the betrayal | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/02/23 12:20 AM
Help, I am lost and don’t know what to do.Try to have a calm discussion and just be direct. Like hey what’s going on? You serviced her needs by going shopping. Being married and straight myself, I hate shopping. But you do it for her. I think people fall into this trap where sex becomes awkward even with their own spouse. I think you may be being a bit too passive. Maybe she wanted to hear something other than “whatever you want to do”. Remember you are the man of your house, and you are supposed to be the leader. Take charge. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/01/23 07:55 PM
Question about using one lawyer to start.. then moving to another lawyer...I guess it depends where you live, but a lot of commercial landlords are hurting right now in that area, worth a shot to negotiate | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 10:17 AM
For a TRO hearing what can happen?Only one person is against you. Hell you got a whole group that’s with you.Fuck these girls are crazy ahaha, I’m laughing with you bc my ex claimed the same thing bc I had family in Canada. Remember, everything either of you say the kids say is all “hearsay” and admissible. Focus on facts. If you haven’t been to Mexico in 5 years, state that. Make her look stupid by using facts if she is full of shit. Pile on the facts. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:54 AM
Wife is retroactively creating a loan from her business that we used cash from the business to pay for remodel to incur debt..... need advise.Do you mean cash cash, or personally paid for the business? Remember, there’s always a trail. Paper, digital, there’s some record, just gotta find it. But if she’s recharacterizing things, she’s either half way intelligent, or has someone telling her. Most people would not go back and do that on their own. Lastly, if the cash existed, she’s likely taking something that was not taxed and throwing it back and manipulating financials | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:42 AM
Her attorney F'd up againCheaper option - send a letter to the judge. I sent one and to my surprise, they responded and sent a letter back. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:31 AM
What should I do !!If you feel this way after 3 years, how are you going to feel 10 years from now? 20, 30? People that feel that way and have no way out don’t make good decisions. Please distance yourself for your own sake | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:29 AM
What should I do !!Judge can’t make you stay married! | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:26 AM
Question about using one lawyer to start.. then moving to another lawyer...It’s not ideal, but maybe try to do all the leg work for the attorney ahead of time to get the one you want. They may have a different strategy. Ask them what you can do to reduce it. Also, maybe get an office space. You can’t afford to have your job impacted by this. It should help offset your income, and gives you a place to crash if needed | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:23 AM
BankruptcyTry to negotiate with the attorney and other debtors. Bankruptcy should be last option | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:17 AM
What’s with her? He’s right. Running really helped me, but gotta be zen master when she deflects everything. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:06 AM
What’s with her?Look up narcissism, gaslighting, if she fits, there’s no repair. All exit strategy to a happier life | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:03 AM
Still married and shes dating while I pay the billsHonestly, get away from her, do you own or rent? | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 08:00 AM
Still married and shes dating while I pay the billsDude DM me whenever you want, I’m almost 7 years out from EXACTLY the same type of woman. Happy to help you. My ex tried referencing she’s going to get courts involved if I didn’t bring my daughters retainer back to her today (which she left at my yesterday). And FYI we’ve been separated nearly 7 years. I get who you’re dealing with I ran a lot, rehabbed a house, listened to a lot of Tony Robbins, Les brown, and various churches. Not saying one is right, but focus on bettering and healing yourse… | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/23 07:46 AM
