I'm sure if this conversation were posted in TwoX by her asking for some sympathy, she'd get her words handed back to her pretty fast as well. You did good, dude. As a woman, your friend totally needs a healthy dose of perspective. Crying while getting a ticket? BOO HOO YOU BROKE THE FUCKING LAW DEAL WITH IT. I'm kinda pissed by her behaviour. She makes reasonable women look bad.

Yeah, that bothered me. All these problems, on both sides, are completely legitimate concerns. Showing the women off that way is misleading.

This article doesn't give us enough information with regards to what legal protocol is for "abuse of the trust of a patient" as well as medical malpractice. While I agree that the justice system is unfortunately weighted towards women, I'd need to see Polish law on these issues to fully determine if this is really a Men's Rights article, or if the same outcome will/would have occurred if a male dentist did this to a female or other male, or if a female dentist did this to a male or other female.

Female here. I joined this subreddit while I was studying International Development in university (different account), but after transferring out of that program I still stayed subscribed. It reminds me how the women's rights' were ...perhaps "overcompensated"?... to the point that now so many men out there suffer greatly for it. I used to read the stories more intensely in the past, but now they don't surprise me and only make me sad, so I don't read them as much anymore. It's all to clear to m…

Damn it, I'm a woman and she's so backward about this situation, I was just about to go recover my twitter account just to Internet backhand her... Deleted. Coward.

I'm subscribed to both MR and 2X, and you're right – they're whiny! I know some of them in there have sense, but lately I've been thinking about just leaving.

I'm subscribed to both MR and 2X, so I get a healthy dose of abuse from both sides. :) The more I think about it, the more I realize that both subreddits rally around a common cause: equal rights for ALL. I've been lucky in that 2X posts I've read have been level-headed and non-sexist towards men, and then in MR, that all posts have been level-headed and non-sexist towards women. You both are fighting for the same thing, you know.

This question surprises me – is this the norm now? I only graduated from high school 3 years ago and there was no expectation whatsoever to pay for your prom date's ticket. Maybe it's because of where I live (Canada). I'm a woman. As others have said, if she can't understand paying for her own ticket, she's not the type of person you want to date.

You're downvoted for abrasiveness but upvoted for truth. It's not uncommon for kids to think their parents will react a certain way but then things turn out better than expected...or exactly how the kid expected. OP's in a tight spot, if he is indeed not a troll. I really hope he's a troll. This whole thing is depressing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
