I don't understand people in the article's comments defending her... In rejecting the counsel of the church leadership and going against their explicit wishes concerning where and how to protest, she is in effect saying "I don't want to be a part of your church." Then she turns around and is sad that she's threatened with excommunication?!

Hmm... I'm subscribed to r/Feminism. I don't know how they deal with dissenting opinion and whether or not they're ban-crazy. When it shows up on my front page, I tend to ignore their links because the titles often upset me. I'm not sure if there's a "normal", non-sexist subreddit for Feminism. If I find one, I'll be sure to let you know. It's always good to understand the other side of ANY argument. Keep up the good work.

So I recently found out that r/xkcd is run by a bunch of crazy people (lots of censorship and banning), and that if you're a fan and want a better subreddit, you should go to /r/xkcdcomic. Does anyone know if there's an equivalent for feminism? I, like the OP, want to be fair and see both sides of the argument, but if I'm to believe that Feminism is good and only certain pseudo-feminists are bad, I would need a subreddit where people don't get banned for suggesting that Feminism is about equalit…

BRB, visiting Google. ... So apparently it was a response to the shooter's video this last weekend. He grouped all women together, so the voices of Twitter responded with something akin to "Yes, all women..." followed by the way they've been mistreated and stuff and how hard women have it.
